BlackBerry Pocket TreeField.

I would like to implement something similar to the blackberry wallet application where there is an icon next to the text in the TreeField.  I was able to pass a string to the TreeField and have it display fine.  Does anyone know how I would go about adding a bitmap to the text. I tried to use other components net.rim.device.api.ui.component without success.

Thanks in advance,

Here is an excerpt of what I do...

public final class TreeScreen extends TreeField  {

 /**/

}

class TreeScreenCallback implements TreeFieldCallback {

  public void drawTreeItem(TreeField tf, Graphics graphics, int node, int y, int width, int indent) {
    Object cookie = tf.getCookie(node);
    Bitmap ic = /*set your icon*/
    graphics.drawBitmap(indent, y, ic.getWidth(), ic.getHeight(), ic, 0, 0);
    indent += ic.getWidth();
    graphics.drawText(cookie.toString(), indent, y, Graphics.ELLIPSIS, width);
  }

}

  • Case of pocket torch blackBerry Smartphones does not work for Bold 9780

    Nice day

    I bought a BlackBerry Torch 9800 (ACC32838301) Pocket case, TELUS, but it useless for my flashlight. I want my wife to use this case for his Bold 9780 but the magnet does not work by putting the camera in mode 'sleep'. Why is this? The case is a little big, but still fits well on the Bold 9780. Is the magnet misaligned a very little bit for the "BOLD"?

    I use an old case of leather case that has worked for my old Curve 8330, Bold 9780 and Torch 9800. So why not this new business. Y at - it something wrong with my case specifically, or if it is not designed to work for the "BOLD"?

    Hello

    The placement of the magnet is different for different models of BBs. Some are interchangeable, the more I think are not. Therefore, it is always best to use a case that is made for the specific model of BB.

    Good luck!

  • Contacts transfer to Smartphones blackBerry "BOLD" for hands-free kit does not work

    Hello

    I use almost all types of BlackBerry for recent years. So far I never had no problem with bluetooth, so I'm surprised that I have a problem of bluetooth with my "BOLD". In my car, I use a JVC NX 5000 audio/navigation/ipod/bluetooth while something. All the audio features work very well. The problem is transfer my addresses for the hands-free kit. This function works very well with all the previous BlackBerry pocket but not with the "BOLD". The error message on the "BOLD" refers to JVC, strange enough documentation that all previous handheld computers has functioned.

    Anyone any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,

    Thierry

    I guess I solved the problem. I remembered that some carkits have a limit of 500 numbers (BMW?). It turns out that the JVC (with hard drive) has the same question. So after removing some contacts outdated everything worked fine.

  • Difficulties of Smartphones from blackBerry to install Blackberry Desktop Software

    I just bought a new Blackberry Curve 8320. And will have several difficulties with it I will list separately.

    First of all.

    I tried to install the Blackberry v4.2.2 CD user tools, and it never ends install, to the point that I have to do an end task. Help, please.

    Second

    With other phones (like the Motorola RAZR V3t) I could send the contacts from my Pocket PC HP iPaq via Bluetooth. When I try to do it with the Blackberry, Pocket PC says that it cannot connect to the Object Push profile (OPP) in the remote device (which is the Blackberry).

    Third

    With other phones (like the Motorola RAZR V3t) I could dial the contact of my Pocket PC HP iPaq via Bluetooth. When I try to do it with the Blackberry, Pocket PC, says that it cannot connect to the Serial Port (OPP) profile in the remote device (which is the Blackberry).

    Hi bifocals.

    I want to talk about the initial installation.

    However, I couldn't find v4.3 as indicated by Bumblepie. So I decided to call T-Mobile, they gave a link to v4.3 and installed fine. I have configured the address book in Outlook and transferred on the curve.

    The calendar, notes and tasks do not want to transfer. I don't know that I'm doing something wrong.

    I know this will be a learning curve with the curve.

    Thank you for your continued support.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how do the mobile network in the program?

    I searched the Forum but do not have the answer.

    Currently, I have 2 mobile for my blackberry 8700 networks say they are A and b.

    Has EDGE and GPRS has B.

    When I reboot BB, most of the time he will select B automatically maybe for some reason any.

    It is tedious to manually switch to the A.

    Is there a way to automatically detect the mobile network if there are A and B then choose?

    Or just simplely choose one no matter if there are B availible?

    I look in the java doc, but it seems there's only Radio and RadioInfo classes related to this issue and none of them can handle this.

    Thank you.

    There is no BlackBerry API that would allow you to do this.  I'm moving this to the general BlackBerry Pocket forum for other suggestions of configuration possible.

  • Unidentified screen blackBerry 8350i Smartphones icon

    On the upper line of the display of the office immediately to the left of the time in the Center display, an icon appeared recently.  It looks like a blackberry Pocket devicewith a small envelope (e-mail?) superimposed and just a number "1" immediately to his right.  Anyone know what it represents?

    This means that you have a message, could be send, could be another message.  Go to the main menu and click on the envelope.  It must be something in there that is black "BOLD".  A click on that and it should disappear.

  • Case of Smartphones Blackberry blackBerry for the curve

    It is beyond my understanding that there is no decent Holster for blackberry curve case. Yes blackberry offers one, but it shows a weird sense of ergonomics. My main objection to the closure of blackberry Holster case is the device is on the outside. So to keep the unit out of the case open the latch, I need to show all the front, turn the unit and then start using it. What was the case of use here. I would also hope that if I fall on someone or something that I'm not hitting the screen.

    The case seemed like its designed for those who keep in the case all day and the door only to transport.

    What needs the curve is a Holster or vertical case the following:

    1. Allows the blackberry to face inside
    2. The function of sleep oem with magnet
    3. Does not require a rubberier damaging top clip to hold it in place
    4. Does not require putting a skin around the unit to protect it from the Holster
    5. Optional lock

    ID be happy with a blackberry Pocket (that it is bundled with) with pouch and magnet

    The following link shows will show you what I use for my blackberry. It doesn't have the magnetic sensor that puts the phone in power saving mode if you have shot it to the outside or inside. I always leave face to protect the screen. The latch that holds the phone in place is also magnetic in order to take the phone out is a breeze. You push it just pretty much on the side with a finger while grabbing the blackberry. The Interior also has a Groove all the way done to prevent the trackball to get too much pressure. It has a swivel complete belt clip. Geez I look like I'm selling something here. I hope that this case is what you need.

  • Storm Simulator

    Is it possible to simulate the accelerometer?  I can get it to respond to the orientation.  But the questioning of the axis always return zero.  I don't see a menu option to set the values of the accelerometer.  I was hoping would little shaking the window with the mouse Simulator, but apparently not.

    This is not currently supported in the BlackBerry Simulator.  You need a real BlackBerry pocket to test the accelerometer.

  • Question about pine and securing of the payware

    In the developer documentation, I read this:

    Note: NSU is present on BlackBerry smartphones that run on the network of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA).

    And this seems to mean that not all BB have a PIN.  Is this true?  If so, what carriers/networks do not support the necessary CDMA and so have no pins?  In addition, if a BB doesn't have a PIN code, then how the application people 'registration' on these devices?  In other words, in general we "blocking" software to PIN users (etc.), but without a PIN, what can we use?

    The ESN is not a BlackBerry PIN.  Each BlackBerry pocket has a unique PIN CODE.  You can get it by calling the DeviceInfo.getDeviceId ().

  • Bluetooth with blackBerry Z30 and leaving phone in Pocket

    Hello, I'm having a problem with unlocking phone when I use my bluetooth headset to answer calls.  I wear gloves to work often take my phone out is not necessary while I'm working, not to mention bulky.  When she unlocks the screen in my pocket, my calls are frequently is completed by phone, move around in my pocket and pressing "end".  What's worse, is that I take my gloves off, locking the phone with the hardware button and continue with the call, only the phone unlock after the end of the call.  Then he Pocket numbers someone from the phone calls or favorite journal form

    TLDR I leave my phone in my pocket while using the bluetooth headset.  Each call entering and end unlocks the screen which leads to the "composition of pocket" or "Pocket end a call.

    Use a BlackBerry Holster or a pocket to keep him from doing this, because they have a magnet of sleeper inside.

    If you want to reduce to touch the phone can get a BlackBerry HS-700 and you can just say "Answer" to answer a call

  • BlackBerry specific Q10 of his behavior in his pocket

    Hi all

    I am the proud owner of a Q10 (since only a few days) and I'm looking for the function that I have with my 'old' Bold 9900; It is the ability to put a specific 'his behaviour' (within a profile) when the phone is placed in the Pocket (BB Moose). For example, only vibrate in my pocket.

    This possibility has disappeared from OS 10 or am I missing something here?

    Thank you very much in advance for your help

    Hello Messagepads,

    Thank you for your question.

    In and out of the Holster profile settings are not present on the BlackBerry 10 smartphones. Let us know if you have any other questions.

  • BlackBerry worried Q10 on the numbering of Pocket!

    Hello! So I used to call the cops of Pocket composition of at least 38 times a day lol it sucks, but now I use a password lock screen more of a case to cover the screen so I can't have a Pocket dial. I noticed that they even updated the "Emergency call" button to where not only you have to click on it, but I also have to call 911 as well. Who is now a secure enough phone from Pocket composition now. However, there is one thing that will annoy me because I bought a new case for my phone which does not cover the screen, now after I text someone or something else, I lock the phone, but it takes about 1 minute without touching the screen for the password screen to come, so I can win again accidentally someone dial for a minute. Is there anyway that I can put my BlackBerry Q10 where do I type a certain touch before I can slide my phone to take me to the password as an iphone screen? Thank you!

    An OEM Holster will have a magnet hidden inside, placed exactly there where a receiver exists on the device. When they come into close contact, the device will be locking password (assuming that on screen password security, you have that selection is enabled). That's for cases, make sure that they are either OEM or make it clear that they are for your phone model (the receivers are in different places on the various devices).

  • Assistant charger blackBerry Smartphones Pocket Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

    I get this message when I connect my new Bold 9900 and started doing on my curve 8330 a few months ago. I have the latest version of the 6.0 Desktop Manager installed on my laptop and my PC. The strange thing is that it works perfectly on my laptop, no error to a phone message. Just the new "BOLD" last week, connected to the PC, same error. I did a lot of reading through the forums and tried to uninstall and reinstall the Software Desktop 3 or 4 times. Even tried the upgrade of the OS on the curve and "BOLD" on the laptop. Plugged into the PC and the same problem. I can't force the Loader.exe to start the PC when I clicked on the C:\program Files/Common Files/Research in Motion/Apploader, block immediately. Even tired a method describes how to remove registry entries, etc., and tried. Does anyone have new ideas or more detailed in order to solve this problem. Seems to be question of Office Manager as no problem with the same features on laptop.

    I wish you to check the other pocket computer "error: link

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/desktop-software-for-PC/handheld-application-loader-wizard-HA...

    I spent some time trying the different charger and discovered versions this version 6.0.1.15 charger seemed to overcome the problem of error. The idea is to replace your current version of loader.exe 6.0.1.37 that comes with DTM 6.1 with the old 6.0.1.15 version I found on the page to download software of device bell for the torch 9800. It is necessary to install this device software temporarily and then copy this version charger in a location of your choice, say the office and use it later when the dust of the installation is installed.

    See page 3 of the link above for the rest of the info and tell us if it worked for you with some techi-comments.

  • Found blackBerry Smartphones pocket computer

    When I plug my Blackberry on my computer with the USB cord, my Blackberry says: "current USB support is not enough.  Check that your Pocket PC is connected to a powered USB charge source and that the appropriate USB driver is installed. »

    I tried to uninstall the software from my computer and reinstall the driver.  I can't make it work.  My USB port is a 2.0 - and I can charge my iPod by the same way, so I don't know what the problem is.

    Can anyone help?

    Is that you tried to install the Desktop Manager? What version of DM?

    You can open the Desktop Manager application that you have installed on your PC?
