  You may not have the correct permissions or own the medium on which you try to perform the backup.  Here are some instructions on how to give you the right permissions and Take Ownership (if necessary).

  To view your permissions, right-click on the file/folder/drive, click Properties, and check the Security tab.  Check the permissions you have by clicking on your user name (or group of users).  Here are the types of permissions, you may have: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-are-permissions.  You must be an administrator or owner to change the permissions (and sometimes, being an administrator or even an owner is not sufficient - there are ways to block access (even if a smart administrator knows these ways and can move them - but usually should not because they did not have access, usually for a very good reason).)  Here's how to change the permissions of folder under Vista: http://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-vista/set-file-folder-permissions-vista/.  To add take and the issuance of right of permissions and ownership in the right click menu (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/05/21/take-and-grant-full-control-permissions-and-ownership-in-windows-7-or-vista-right-click-menu/.   I agree with you and think it had something to do with a Windows Update. I got this computer with Windows 7 for a couple of years and it took until this month I got the problem. Cannot delete the photos when the card reader is on a Windows 10 computer either.

  3. in the right pane click "ArchiveFolder."
  4. check that content is "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\WindowsNT\MSFax".
  5. If this isn't the case, then change it.

  b. in Windows Fax & Scan switch to Fax view (View menu > go > view Fax).
  c. in the Tools menu go to accounts of fax.
  d. Select your account and click on delete.
  e. now click on add and select Connect to a fax modem.
  f. leave the default name and click Next.

  I have a PC with Windows Vista Ultimate on it.  Turns off user access control.  On the sign as Admin will have all the rights.

  Windows Fax and Scan works very well for a long time.  Had a modem comes to shove, he replaced everything works fine.

  Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

• BlackBerry Smartphones Media Manager does not recognize the Media card

  Installed the media 2G card.  Card is able to format and presents itself as 1.8 GB.  With mass storage, office software (Roxio media manager) does not show - memory card from the device.  In mass storage mode (which, according to the manual means the acts of the device as a USB storage device), PC sees the device, but does not not the files copied to it.  Has spent about 2 hours with the technical support of Verizon... they are puzzled.

  I found a workaround for the music files on the card.  I removed from the Blackberry and installed in an SD adapter full-size and there in a USB key with a SD slot.  My computer has seen the media card (embedded in the USB device) and I flew over songs in the repertoire of music on the media card, put it back into my phone and viola... the music file was there!

• BlackBerry Smartphones can not access Media card with BB Desktop or Media Sync 9700

  The other day I received a Reburbed Bold 9700 update.

  I use Ver 6 Deskstop OS and the 9700 is running device code latest version 5.

  I have a Kingston 4 GB media card that I know is in place because the 9700 recognizes it and when I go to files and select the media card, I can see all the files on the card and when I take a picture it is written on the card so I know that memory is very good and he sees the 9700.

  The problem I have is BB Deskstop or latest version of Media Sync to see so I can transfer files to and from my PC and the media card.

  The error message that I receive on the two applications, it's that I have to turn on mass storage Mode.  When I look at my memory settings:

  Compression - enabled

  Map of media Support - on

  Mass Storage Mode Support - on

  Auto enable mass storage Mode when connected - Yes

  I formatted the card successfully on the BB.

  I tried another card memory (2 GB) and also properly formatted as well.

  I did search endlessly on the Web and saw other people with similar problems but many were so simple that the card is not seated properly and it also had the symptom that the BB is not recognizing the media card.  My BB recognize media cards and use them, but I can't access the card through my PC.  I understand that I may not see a pendrive pop up in Windows Explorer, but I can't understand why the BB Desktop or Media Sync cannot access.

  I know that both of these applications communicate to the BB cause I get requests for passwords and the desktop, I can view all my applications and I used to update the device until the last OS level during the troubleshooting process.

  I just wanted to see if anyone has experience this problem and has tips, if not I will contact AT & T or go into a local store to see if they can help.  I just think I'm missing something that I can take care off instead of my own.

  Have you tried to connect the device on another computer?  If another computer to recognize the device, it may just be a case of bad USB drivers on your computer.

  Here are some KB articles that may be able to help:

  You also need to remove the USB ports on your computer (using Device Manager), and then restart the computer to reload the correct drivers.

  An alternative to this is to simply use a microSD card reader which allows you to use the microSD as a flash drive.

  My application packages a pre-existing file of SQLite as a resource, that it stores at / / sdcard/databases/[appName]/db.sql.

  My problem is when users have their devices set to encrypt the media card, I put the file on the card but my application can not access or decrypt and so I am unable to use it.

  Is there a way I have my app decrypt the .sql file or keep him encryption in the first place on the map? It seems like it might be a common use case.

  I found a funky work around by renaming the .sql in .mp3, but even once, it will work if the user has media files encryption set to 'disabled '. It's not ideal, of course.
