Upgrade processor for Satellite L50-A-138

What are the processors spend at L50-A-138?

Can I put Intel i7-2820QM?

Update CPU or Exchange is not supported so, in my opinion, you should not think about it.
More info on what you can read on - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm

Since my upgrade of the CPU experience (I ve tested on older models) will not offer a spurt of fast execution. If you want more performance without risk to upgrade your 4 GB maximum RAM 8 GB support and exchange standard fast SSD HARD drive.
Believe me you will see the difference.

One last thing. I don't know how old is your laptop, but this action will void the warranty.

Well, the procedure for the RAM upgrade is a bit tricky. There is no RAM module Bay separated with easy access.

To access the free RAM slot, the plastic cover of the bottom must be removed.
You need to remove the ODD (optical disc) as well as the battery and next by the screws around the cover.

But remove the cover would mean that you would negate the warranty.

I put t know if you want to lose the warranty, I think that security is a very important fact which should be considered before performing this upgrade procedure.

  • Need drivers for Satellite L50-B-169

Okay, so I recently got a new laptop (Toshiba Satellite L50-B-169) and I installed an older version of Windows 7, I had to this topic, but I lost drivers disks provided when I got it and now I don't know which drivers and where to get them.

    Any advice? Thank you

According to the specifications of the computer laptop Satellite L50-B-169 was shipped without a preinstalled OS, there is no disk with drivers.
What you can do with this machine is the installation supported operating system.

All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities for your machine, you can find on the download page of Toshiba - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
I can see that your machine is supported for Windows 7 64-bit, so I think it's the best option for you.

    HP Pavilion p6514f

    Windows 7 Pro 64-bit

    500 GB HARD drive

    5 GB OF RAM

    Socket LGA 775

I checked the specifications of the card mother IPIEL-A3 (Eureka3) which States that the processor can be upgraded to a Core 2 Quad processor. I bought one that's a Q6600, Slacr Malay, 2.4 GHz / 8 Mb/1066/05 a - L846A603

When I installed the new processor, the system did not want to start and the message displayed briefly on the screen, said that the processor was not compatible with the system.  Where am I wrong?  I thought I did everything right, but now I have a processor with nowhere to go.  Good blood!

I could not find any discussion about this upgrade on this system, so I hope someone might know the answer as to why this processor does not work with this system.

    Thanks for any help!

    Here are the specifications of the card mother IPIEL-A3 (Eureka3) in your computer. According to the specifications;

Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:

    TDP: 95W

Series Intel Core 2 Quad (Yorkfield core)

Series Dual Core Core 2 Duo Intel (core Wolfdale)

From my research, the Q6600 processor you bought is based on the core Kentsfield. According to the specifications of the motherboard, your system supports processors based core Yorkfield. Based on this information, your system should work with the Yorkfield based Intel Q8xxx and/or Q9xxx processors.

My gateway has the 4006153R (Love Valley G) of Intel G965 Viiv Motherboard. The Core 2 Duo E6300 processor has an identifier (SL9S5) on the processor. I have the motherboard and processor supported of the gateway information for upgrades of the processor. My processor is not incorporated and uses the LGA775 socket. Answers to the specific question are greatly appreciated!

  • Upgrading CPU for Satellite L500-128

I have a 4-5 year old Toshiba L500-128 and I would like to upgrade the processor. ATM I have a Core 2 Duo T6500. I know that I can put a T9500 inside, but if possible I would ask a better. So I have a few questions:

    (1) can I put a CPU with front side bus 1066 MHZ speed and it'll work? T6500 has 800 FSB.
    (2) can I put a CPU with 44 or 45W TDP? T6500 has 35W.
    (3) if the answer is Yes to the two questions above, I put a CPU with 1066 FSB and 45W?

Is possible, I would put something like T9900 or even a Quad Core.

    Thanks in advance :)

    > 1) that I can put a CPU with front side bus 1066 MHZ speed and it'll work? T6500 has 800 FSB.

In my opinion, you should check the compatibility of the chipset and CPU support.
As far as I know the motherboard the computer s portable supports the Chipset Mobile Intel GM45 Express

On the Intel Ark page, I could find the Intel Mobile GM45 chipset specifications and compatible products:
    http://Ark.Intel.com/products/35134/Intel-82GM45-graphics-and-memory-controller-hub

However, the fact is that new CPU must be supported by the chipset and BIOS.
If one of the parties (chipset or BIOS) is not compatible with the new processor, the laptop does not start at the top.

In addition, you should also know that the manufacturers of portable don t support upgrading processors.
    Does that mean exactly?

This means that even if the chipset would support the new processor, BIOS could be the troublemaker and couldn't stand the improved CPU. From my experience, there is no information on BIOS support. Therefore, the CPU upgrade is always a risky procedure. Maybe it will work, maybe not
