BlackBerry smartphone Message Inbox

I searched, but could not find anything.  I got my first Blackberry today a Tour 9630.  It has the V OS 4.7.1.57.

To reply to a message text at this point (after there is a notification message), I have to scroll to the message of that icon, click on with the ball, hit the button menu, scroll down to "view folder" and then highlight 'SMS Inbox.  There must be an easier way to do this?  Any advice to simplify this process would be greatly appreciated.

I also read on combining SMS and MMS messages in a type of message unique-is it possible?  Can I combine at the reception/outboxes box?

Any info would be great.  Thank you!

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

You can split the TEXT to an icon that is clean and deletes Messages. Go here:

  • Home screen > Messages > BBKey > Options > General Options

Scroll down to the setting that says something like TEXT Messages in Inbox (something like that... my OS is different, so I can't). Change that to "Separate" and you will then have a new icon on your homescreen dedicated to SMS/MMS.

See you soon!

  • BlackBerry smartphone messaging issue curve 9320

    Hi all!

the e-mail on my 9320 function does not work correctly. I have correctly configured my gmail on mydevice account and I get emails and receive notifications when they arrive, HOWEVER...

When I opened the email all I see is heading for the topic and who it is from, there is no message body. Looking back through my old emails, the only ones I have read completely are those that I received BlackBerry when I first set up my email confirming the installation. If I select answer or forward, it opens the E-mail project but then the email app is closed completely and I'm suddenly brought to my home screen.

    What I've tried so far:

-Turning device and turn it on again

-removal and setting up my email account once again

-wear the device to where I bought it. they offered to download blackberrydesktop on my PC Manager and backup then restore my phone. I did it without a change in behavior from my blackberry

Any help or advice is much appreciated

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts. Otherwise, you need to consider a full reload OS... to prepare, please visit link for Backup in my auto signature on this post.

    Good luck!

  • Problem with the blackBerry Smartphones SMS Inbox

I had problems with my Blackberry Torch 9860 sms Inbox.  The time and date that are on my phone are correct, but when I go to my sms Inbox, the date is showing that "May 22, 2043" and each message arrives at "12:08" no matter what time it really is.

    This is an easy fix?

    Thank you!

I ended up remove all the messages of this 'day', so he would not appear in the Inbox and now when I send or receive that he puts the messages in the right time.

I have nothing else it seemed to have settled himself.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Messages folder

Hello... I'm LOST.  My boss has a blackberry storm and I have most of it set up, and he is happy except because he dislikes his message folder has two calls and emails there - he wants his e-mails only in his aol E-mail folder and the folder he wants to voice mail or missed calls, received etc. only - I googled and searched, I don't even know if this is possible, can someone help me? I'm desperate!

    * edit, well, sdgardne replied with the same info... *.

Hey, Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

    Cannot do it this way.

Your main messages folder will get all messages and messages. You can separate OUT the SMS SMS if you want (Messages > Menu > options > General Options > SMS and Email inboxes = separate).

But the AOL mail will remain in the main messages folder. The AOL folder you can hide (highlight > Menu > hide) because it wil only duplicate post main AOL folder.

    Good luck.

  • Notifications by email of blackBerry Smartphones Message app duplicatiing

    Hello

Could someone explain to me please how to get the application of Message on the home page to stop sending notifications when e-mails arrive in my email app? I use the Yahoo email app and everytime I get an email notification that I also get the same notification duplicated in the request Message. It's just a little annoying.

    Thanks in advance.

Here's a post I made some time ago which explains how the messaging application. The basic answer is WAD - works as expected.

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/Rim/Board/message?board.ID=9500&message.ID=30149#M30149

While this position was aligned to BES users, the basic concept is intact. Messages is the main place for all messages (WAD) - separate icons for individual accounts are as a filter for the icon displays only messages related to that specific account. What I have done is to put the Messages icon to the bottom in a subfolder, and I just get something must come who is not associated with a specific icon on my home screen (e.g., PIN Messages, etc.).

On the storm, you still have the ability to split the TEXT in their own icon (and not duplicated in Messages). With any list message appears:

BBKey > Options > General Options

The list a little ways is a selection for "SMS and email Inboxes" - separate value and you will have a new icon just for SMS/MMS.

BTW - the selection of alert messages is simply a quick key to app of sounds so that you can change the alerts associated with this account. But since he launched the app sounds, you see indeed everything in the app sounds.

    Hope something here is useful.

    See you soon!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Messageing

I have a BB 8320 with 4 e-mail accounts. 2 yahoo; 1 BB; and 1 Gmail.  I have a folder for each.  I also have a folder "Messages".  My emails go all accounts for the 'Message' folder as well as individual records.  How can I stop "all THE" Messages to go in the 'Message' files and only in individual records?

When I get a text Message it will automatically to the message folder even if it was sent to my BB account. I have to go in the 'Message' folder to view/replay to text message.  How can I make it go in the e-mail of BB folder and not the folder of message?  The person who sent the message is send to my BB email address, but does not use a blackberry so I can't use the BB message service.

    Thank you, Bill

By default, all emails are related to the Earth in the Messages folder in all BlackBerry devices. This cannot be changed. It takes any additional memory that the messages can be viewed in two different folders. If you want you can hide Messages folder so that all emails will be landed in their designated folders. Do so highlight Messages icon > click on Menu and select hide.

To receive all your texts of SMS and MMS in different folders and then follow the steps - below

    1. Messages
    2. Options
    3. General options
    4. SMS and email inboxes: separate
  • BlackBerry Smartphones Message indicator

Hello everyone.  This is my first BlackBerry and I appreciate really use it.  I have a question.  I have a message flag at the top of my screen showing three messages (mustard brown envelope icon) but for the life of me, I can't find these messages.  I guess this is supposed to indicate the e-mail messages.  Is this correct?  I don't know how to track down these messages.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Well they must be in your Inbox, usually labeled messages, if it is a grey area, i.e. voice messages, but if you can't find the messages, it can be hidden, menu button and display all

  • Deleted text blackBerry smartphone messaging icon

my granddaughter of toddler deleted my text message icon.  I tried the suggestions that others have said worked for them (IE removing the battery to force a reboot when the phone is turned on and trying to display the icon).  Neither one worked for me.  Even ALT S won't let me watch my text messages.  Can someone help me?

He rode as a text message, but as soon as I answered that he would disappear.  I actually found the icon several days later in my media folder when I was looking for a photo to show someone.  my boss showed me how he go back because he uses a blackberry all the time for work.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Message folder and each individual e-mail messages with account? What's the point?

I am a new owner of blackberry 8330 and I try to navigate around him.  I have set up my email with my AT & T email yahoo.  I see the icons for each of these accounts on the screen with all icons, each showed as a separate email account.  So why, when I click on my icon 'message', make all the emails of these accounts?  Seems to be a bit redundant for me to have icons for each email and then the 'message' box where they all appear. (And I do not have separate SMS icon and I don't know it is for text messages.)  In any case, there must be a reason for all messages from this one place.  Any help, anyone?

Also, is there a way I can give these email accounts passwords so if someone had to pick up my phone, they couldn't read my emails?  I really don't want to have to lock my phone or have to sign my phone everytime I want to use it, a few passwords of these accounts.

    Thank you.

Some people like their messages to go to the same place. Personally, I find it boring so I created a folder on my home screen and I put in all the applications that I use right here, so I don't even have to watch them, but always know where they are snacks I have needed one of them. Password protecting your email, you can not, you can lock only of the whole device.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Messages disappear

    Hi all

I'm having a problem with my email. It is a Rogers email account

The e-mail is received by my blackberry fine, but when I open outlook on my desktop messages then disappear on my Blackberry?

    Any thoughts? Thank you

So, to get this right, for example, watch you emails on your BlackBerry... received, view blah blah.

You open Outlook on your computer, and all your emails on your BB disappear?  Quite bizarre.

I would like to say that IF, once you open your Outlook on your computer that recently sent emails stop coming to your BB, then this is a setting in Outlook, you have not configured correctly. See below.

    So, what's your problem?

IF you use Outlook to download your email on your desktop PC, Outlook is probably "remove" mail from your email server when it downloads on your PC.

There is a setting in Outlook to "Leave Messages on server".

    For MS Outlook 2003:
    1. Outlook > tools > e-mail accounts > view or change existing > next.
    2. Select the e-mail account > change > additional settings.
    3. Advanced tab > leave a copy of Messages on the server
    4. check this box.

    * You will need to make this change for each Outlook e-mail account, you have.

Other versions of Outlook have a similar setting, although it can be found in a slightly different place of the: Advanced settings.

Hello and welcome to the community!

In fact, contrary to the foregoing, please refer to this:

Access to the file is not available through services of integrated level BIS and OWA for BB via BIS.

    Good luck!
