BlackBerry smartphone security wiping deleted my whole apps of My World!

I have a bold 9700 and recently she got really really REALLY slow, to the point where, by pure blind frustration I went to the options screen and did security wipe for all third party applications, I thought it would be just deleted from my phone but it deleted my whole app in app world as well which means I can't reinstall one of them.

I paid for some applications like Shazam Encore and Bejoose I really don't want to have to pay again, is there a way I could get back them?

Hello and welcome to the community!

AW servers must always making... I suggest that you clear the cache of the application on the device AppWorld:

1. open the App World

2. go to my world

3. follow one (and only one!) of these steps:

3. for the BB keyboard-oriented - hold down the ALT key and press on, in the sequence R, then S, then T

3B. for touch screen only BBs - hold the num-lock (! 123 button) so that it hangs and then press on, in the sequence 3, then 4, then)

3 c for the most recent (e, g., OS6 and 7) BB s, see this KB:

  • KB24714 How to clear the cache of BlackBerry App World

4 AppWorld must close

5. If your BB locks after issuing clear cache, do a battery pull reboot

6. return to AppWorld (it can be slow, while it re - sync). Connect to MyWorld (if necessary - it will take your BB ID username and password this time; it's not remember your BB ID username after a clear the cache), and then try again.

If the step (4) and (6) do not occur as indicated, then the empty the cache did not work.

I hope it'll work for you! Good luck and let us know!

    Hello Johnfss

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

In the settings of your device please check first if option keep Message has the Maximum value or forever. For help, see this Knowledge Base article:

KB13093   : How to use message keep on the BlackBerry Smartphone options

If it is already set to Maximum, then most likely your device suffers from some memory. If our device suffer little memory so it will remove our message.

KB14213   : The call logs, SMS text messages and emails are deleted from the BlackBerry smartphone

So, start by checking these things.

  • Messages from blackBerry Smartphones do not delete on blackberry703e

When I delete a message on the blackberry 8703e will not delete the actual message on blackberry.  The message is still there.  I have, click on the email and delete it on the menu and the message is still there.  Is there a setting that is turned on or something.  Your help is much appreicated.

    I think it's a software problem.

    So, follow these steps.

Backup your sensitive data via Blackberry Desktop Manager.

And clear the memory of your device.

Go to Options - Security Options - General settings

Open the menu and select 'clear the cell '.

After that, restore your data on the device.

Please note - do not backup TOTAL and COMPLETE, because you can save and restore the wrong data that caused the problem.

Use the 'Advanced' in backup option and backup only that information which is necessary.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones synchronization messages deleted

My boss has a Blackberry attached to his desktop computer and I have full access to his e-mails.  If she removes the emails from his desktop computer and then they disappear from his Blackberry, but if I delete an email from him in my computer box, ir remains on his Blackberry.

However, if I drag the enamel removed from my Inbox deleted the box removed, then it deletes the e-mail on his Blackberry and his office computer, but it is a heavy means time to process spam and other garbage e-mails (and I know that I remember to do all the time!).

    Any help much appreciated.

    Hey Joneedshelp,

When a delegate removes any element of the box of a BlackBerry smartphone user mailbox, the deleted item is sent to your deleted items folder. Because the BlackBerry Enterprise Server is designed only to synchronize with records of the BlackBerry smartphone user's mailbox, the deleted item is interpreted as missing. The BlackBerry Enterprise Server does not remove an article from the BlackBerry smartphone, unless this element appears in the items deleted in the mailbox when the synchronization folder. You can change your Outlook client for when you remove items from the mailbox to the owners stay in their deleted items folder and they are not being moved to your mailbox. Support blackBerry does not recommend or support this work around, because it requires editing the registry. The Microsoft KB is 202517 and can be found on the microsoft support site. Please don't forget to take precautions normal according to the guidelines from Microsoft if you are planning changes to the registry.

  • Applications blackBerry Smartphones upgrade kernel deleted an app purchased

October 16, 2009, I bought the Weatherbug Elite BlackberryAppWorld store program and successfully installed on my Storm 9530.  October 19, I used the Desktop Manager application to upgrade the integrated applications in the phone.  I checked the box that says to make a backup of my data.  During the process of restoring data, the program said that it was impossible to update one of the databases.  When the update is finished, I found that, not only the Weatherbug Elite program had been deleted from my phone, but it has also been removed from the list of applications purchased in the BlackberryAppWorld application on the phone.  I sent the RIM on this problem, but got no response yet.  I have the e-mail message that was sent to me when I bought the program, confirming my purchase.

It has finally been resolved, although not through any response to the issue of charging, as I posted in this forum.  I finally found a telephone number for technical support RIM, (877) 255-2377, they are careful not to indicate on this web site.  The technician had me re - enter my payment information in the section My Apps from BlackberryAppWorld.  At first, this did not help, but after a delay of about one minute, the Weatherbug Elite program reappeared in the purchased applications listing, and I was able to download it again.  Again, I don't know (and may never know) why all my other applications purchased from BlackberryAppWorld has continued to demonstrate, but only this one application is not reappear until I updated my payment information.

  • BlackBerry smartphone security wipe with any BIS - bbm

Hi guys, I've changed my blackberry for an iphone, so I cancelled my BIS and changed my tarrif plan towards an iphone one. I removed the SIM card, so the phone says insert sim card and SOS signal. I then went through and deleted my bbm contacts after it made a complete security wipe, and I came back to the blackberry. It went well and everything was clear.

But a couple of my friends said im still on BBM out there but when contact lists they me message that they get an 'X' red beside the message were it should be a D or R. I was wondering how I'm still on lists here if I deleted all the and safety wiped? Is it because I did it when there was no ENCORE for the blackberry could not send data on the servers of remove me contacts? If so what will happen when the next person gets my phone and BIS it will automatically synchronize what I did and remove me from my friends BBM?

    Help, please

    Thank you

Right, red x means that the message has not been sent because the contact does not exist. If she sent the message, the friend would simply see a message sent without D or R beside the message. If the messages have been received by the other device, it would show a D as delivered, but of course the message is not delivered to your old BlackBerry.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones security answer

I need help, I lost my password for Blackberry App World and I can't reset it because he needs the security answer and I don't remember, so I can't have a different password.

It must be remembered the BlackBerryID password or secret answer to the question. Without either, you're stuck.
    Your choice is:
-Use a different e-mail account to create a new BlackBerryID (with which you will lose access to all apps purchased using the 'forgotten' first BlackBerryID, or)
-Find the initial email you have been sent to confirm the initial BlackBerryID and there are a link to click to cancel and delete the account. Click on this, delete the account and then you can use that same e-mail to create a new account.
    Good luck.

  • BlackBerry smartphones updated my OS but lost App World and all of my current applications. Torch 9810. Help, please.

I plugged my lamp to my laptop and the desktop software told me that there was an OS update (version 7.0 bundle 2406 v7.0.0.585 platform 5.0.0734). I thought fair enough - probably extra security, etc. on the new version so I advanced and loaded after doing a full backup.

This delete all my contacts, media, app world and all the applications that I had downloaded. I did a restore but then put it back into place all my contacts and the media, app world and all applications seem to have disappeared, and I can't seem to get them or even to make global icon reappear.

    Help, please.

I am very surprised that RIM has put an update out there that removes all your stuff off your phone without even warn that it can do?

    Thank you.

Well, RIM develops upgrades of the OS, your mobile operator "put out there" for you to upgrade.

And there are many warnings rich to do upgrades of the OS without first accomplishing your own backup device independent... but this is not serious now.

    1. Anywho, do... go into Options > device > Applications, search AppWorld on your list and IF it is, delete it.
    2. Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.
    3. Now, use your browser to go to the www.blackberry.com/appworld and download/install AppWorld again.

Let us know how it goes.

  • BlackBerry smartphones I can't update my apps - now they don't work at all

I don't really use apps on my blackberry but there are two that I use every day, twitter and whatsapp. I don't know if they need to update, but they have simply stopped working all together, it's already happened, but their update seems to fix. Now, I can't go in the app world do this because says that it needs wifi but I don't have it. Is it possible that I can get on the right app world using mobile Internet, because this seems like a stupid idea for people who do not have wifi!

BlackBerry World does not require a WiFi connection to work.

Options > device > application management, what AppWorld version you have installed?

    You can delete it.

Then do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.
The browser on your BlackBerry go to www.blackberry.com/appworld and download/install again.

  • BlackBerry smartphone security wipe on bb curve 8520

Hello everyone, I had a question about the erasure of BlackBerry security.

I wonder if during the erasure of security ('emails, conctats etc.' and 'user installed applications' checkboxes checked) my sms messages will be deleted...

I have to take my camera to a friend, do you find security secure erase?

Yes, security wipe is the sure way to rid your system of all it's data. Do not remove the installed user applications as the wipe will erase the data in applications, but not applications. However, you can delete the user installed applications if you wish.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones unable to delete or to update contact

    Hello

I noticed other people have had this problem and tried to solve using suggestions, but to no avail.

I got an error that says "Recordset bad peripheral", I used the DataPurgeUI program and found a contact on my BlackBerry Pearl 8120, I can't delete or update, and she also does not update on my Mac when I sync it (I use PocketMac). I would avoid rather going down the road of the wiping of the thing, I just as one replacement for another phone and it took aaaaages configure all back again. Does anyone have an alternative?

    Thank you!

Your welcome, go to options, then click all at the top and on the third line down in the list of the version (e.g. 4.5.0) & must be the platform number.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones allow me to reinstall bought App World apps.

    Hello:

I had to replace my BB Tour 9630 with a new tour and and I'm having a problem trying to reinstall some of my purchased applications.  For example games, "The Pusher" and "Nintail", when I clicked on the button reinstall that I received the message that the app was not available for download on App World, when I returned to this application to try to reinstall again the "resettlement" or the "buy" button does not appear.  When I am logged into 'My World' to reconcile my account both apps do not show upward.  I have not tried to reinstall all my applications again so I 't know if there are others who are affected.  Anyone know why I can't reinstall those apps I bought already and if they are not available for the resettlement of can I get a refund on them?   Thanks for all help; Jon

    Hello!

To reinstall your applications, please follow this section of the AppWorld user guide:

For more information, registration keys, see this KB:

In some cases, it was discovered that reinstalls / updates (from got AppWorld apps) require additional steps in order to install the update. If the update will not install, please try this:

    1. Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications > highlight the app > BBKey > delete
    2. AppWorld > MyWorld > Login > highlight the app (if she shows at all, in any State) > BBKey > delete
    3. Use your PC (via the mass storage Mode) or your BB (via Media > BBKey > Explore) and find all references (folders, files) to the app delete everything you find. Search the memory of your device and your press card as well.
    4. Use the link to user guide AppWorld above for re - install the app - then predict a new activation/registration key

In addition, sometimes total emptying of the Application Cache can help:

    1. open the App World

    2. go to my world

    3. for the BB keyboard-oriented - hold down the ALT key and press on, in the sequence R, then S, then T

    3. for Storm/Pearl - hold the num-lock (! 123 button) so that it hangs and then press on, in the sequence 3, then 4, then)

4A. If your BB locks after issuing clear cache, do a battery pull reboot

Finally, reported on these forums today on several problems with AppWorld... While we have nothing formal rim on what it may be the case... in which case wait would be the thing to do.

    Best.
