BlackBerry Smartphones 7290 no sound on calls

It seems to me putting something somewhere and now I have no sound on the phone?  I have reset the setting of the overall volume to 100%.  When I try to call the phone shows that it is connected, but I can't hear or speak to the part I have called.  I know that the call is made I tried to call my home phone.  It is a model 7290 and has always worked before.

I looked through this forum for answers but have not found if someone already asked this question.

I removed the battery and SIM card and reinserted to reset the phone.

I gave up on this phone.  I guess it's broken.  I replaced by an another 7290 and transferred the news with the help of the people in this forum who told me how to do it.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not make a call, but can receive calls

Hello! I BBCurve9380 and somehow it just stopped making the calls, but I can still receive. I don't know if it's on the changed settings but on what I read in other forums, it's on the it policy. I checked mine and it says BBFS1 [GTALKAP1] and WLM 2.1 [WLMAP01]. I've updated all my apps and my computer can read my phone just fine. When I try to make a call, it automatically disconnects. Any help would be appreciated.

In fact, you have a lot more work to do, in light of your acquisition method. Reference:

    • KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

For step 3 stages of seller, you should replace it and it will remove unit COMPUTER policy:

    • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

However, later, when you restore, DO NOT do a full restore. On the contrary, do only a selective restore of only those databases that you absolutely need (e.g., contacts, calendar, messages) and specifically avoid restore databases that have nothing to do with HIM, political, business or other similar things. If you restore those, you'll just be right back where you are now, as a full restore will conscientiously COMPUTER policy again on your device.

Note Please that I really have no idea if doing this will restore your ability to make calls... 100% of the information I have comes from what you have posted here. I'm guessing that the policy could be the cause of your problems, but I can't know that. No matter, since there is an IT strategy on board and you are not on BES, then you definitely want to get that deleted. But regarding if that will restore your ability to make calls, I have no way to predict the future... If something is the cause of this specific problem, then we'll have to deal with this - AFTER you remove the it policy so that we can be sure it does not hinder anything else.

    Good luck!

  • Speaker blackBerry Smartphones starts automatically on certain calls

For the reasons that I can't explain, the speaker turns on automatically when my wife calls for about 5 seconds and then returns to the normal mode.  I have absolutely no idea how this 'feature' has been enabled.

I can't find this option in the profiles/edit function.  I have an exception for my wife - and I am sure that the speaker phone option must be associated with this exception... but I know not where/how to turn off.

My phone is running V4.6.1.83, the Platform 3.0.0.41, Curve 8350i

    Thank you

    Welcome to the kjbrand forums

I don't know if you tried, but when your phone starts to 'Act' always try a battery pull first:
    1. remove the battery while the phone is turned on
    2. wait a few seconds before inserting it again
    3. wait for the long end of the boot process (takes a few minutes usually)

This clears most of the software problems that occur on the BlackBerry from time to time. You can also use Quickpull, a free application that simulates a battery pull without removing the battery: http://software.crackberry.com/product.asp?id=27660
A battery pull gets lost when using the applications memory and clears minor software errors that creep over time. The blackberry is running an operating system just like your PC is running windows and battery pull is the equivalent of a reboot / restart your computer.

There should be no reason why the phone should go to the speaker on its own, and it sounds like a software problem. I hope that suits him!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones 7290 wheel

This is probably a stupid question. I have a 7290 opportunity.  The wheel is supposed to go around (spin) or should it have a high and a low stopping point.  If it is broken can be repaired.  I called a repairman and they do not think that it could be repaired.

    Hello

The trackball should continue to turn it all around. If it is not to do so, I would recommend speaking with your provider wireless on the options to repair or upgrade to recent hardware components.

    Need help!

Sometimes, when I am on a call and asks me to enter my account number, and then press the book, I enter my account number and then press [alt] [Q]. However, it is not to recognize the # sound being pressed. I also have the same question when I call my home phone and I need to support on * to access my voicemail. I press [alt] [A], and it keeps telling me that I entered an invalid option.

I would appreciate any suggestions or messages.

    Thanks in advance

Press on the * /A key, with NO pressure on the ALT key.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones take pictures during a call

Is this possible?  Sounds stupid, but I saw on a TV show and I was wondering if it was possible.  Had a look and can't see the option, but would be interested in a feature like this.

Hi there, Yes, it can be done. While in the call, press the button of the camera, and a message appears asking you if you want to continue the call and exit at the camera. Click Yes, and you can take a photo at the same time as being a call!

And if you do not have the appliance configured as a button practice more, no worries, you can just press the back button and you will be asked if you want to continue the call and return to the home screen.

I hope that answers your question, but if not, feel free to ask for clarification!

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to check the calls on BB Curve 8520?

I see the icon that I have a lack call on my Blackberry Curve 8520, but I don't know how to check and see what I missed call them...

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you.

Also, I have not tried the net outside of my house on my blackberry, again - it's going to work everywhere wherever I go?

The internet should work everywhere where you get the signal (WiFi or GSM/GPRS/EDGE). For missed calls, according to settings you can click on the green button, or go to your message list. If you want to see ONLY your missed calls, go to the message, press the menu key, then display folder, then the missed calls.
