• HELP blackBerry Smartphones: I BIS, but BBM and Gmail only works on network and NOT on wifi

  Hi all, sorry in advance if this problem has already been postponed.

  I myself recently had a bold 9900. Everything worked well, but I met a pretty big problem which I spent hours looking for fix on the internet today, but nothing helped. So I decided to make an account on here to see if anyone can inform me personally with a solution. My carrier is O2 (UK), but I use the sim card while living abroad in Czech Republic. I don't meet with this problem on my previous BB (torch).

  I buy a monthly BIS data plan and it is still active at this moment - it is clear from "EDGE" that appears at the top right of my screen when the network is enabled or "3 G" (with the blackberry icon) .
  When the network is running - my BBM, Twitter/Fb apps, Gmail, browser all works fine (as it should) because of my BIS.

  The problem:

  Once I turn the networkand activate wifi WE, my BBM and Gmail work & the BB icon disappears from the top corner, instead of move slightly down to accompany the icon of intensity of the wifi (which would always be the case on my previous BB) right.

  What is even more strange, given that BB icon is still missing, is that my BB Facebook and Twitter apps still work fine with wifi on, just like the Explorer... So why not BBM and Gmail?

  (Which makes me ask: I thought that the BB Facebook and Twitter apps necessary BIS to work?)

  Anyway, once I enter the 'wireless network' > menu > 'Troubleshooting' > "Wifi diagnostic", the following errors are displayed:

  (1) UMA connection error. Status: Error of wireless network

  (2) infrastructure blackberry connection error.

  I tried to return the directories of service, which made no difference.

  Help, please!

  Well Yes, I tried yesterday (restore to factory wireless settings) does not. I have now restored the mobile to factory settings and I'm relieved to say that the BIS now works just the wifi.

The phone comes from UK and I live in France, so of course, I don't know who was the former owner. French Orange seems to be of any help to this problem.

  Sorry for my bad English I wouldn't find a forum in French.

  The problem has been resolved by contacting BIS they repress the account that remains of the former owner.

  Hope this can help others. I'm free! and it works perfectly.

• BlackBerry Smartphones phone rings but I cannot hear caller on the other end

  I only had my phone for a few days and something went terribly wrong!  The phone seems to work fine until I downloaded the BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.5.0.152 (Multilingual) of late update last night. This morning I noticed by examining ringtones already on the phone that I couldn't play, but I thought I was doing something wrong because I could hear when I started using the phone.

  Immediately after the software was updated, I had to change the settings of the radio so that I could access internet again (I think of radio settings). Is there a setting on the phone that I need to update, or something else I can do to fix this?

  So to be clear, it happens, that keep you the battery, things work fine for awhile, then it happens again, and you need new pop the battery?

  Is the release of the OS device you have installed certified by your carrier? Or is this a leaked version? You can check the version of your operator here:

  You could also try the device OS - something maybe went a little bit last night installing.

  Otherwise, if it persists, you should contact your carrier (if it was a sanctioned release by the bone) and let them know.

For two days, I have the problem that, when I'm on Wifi, it does not run any connection (not even the browser); on the mobile network, everything works fine.   Remove the battery while your phone is on, then replace it. Then restart your wireless router.

  Try these two steps and post back with your results.

  I had this problem with my previous BB and thought that the software crashed.  Upgrade to a 790 "BOLD" I always have this problem.  I talked to tech support, they say that everything is ok on their side.  I took my phone, the tech at the MTN shop checked, corrected my center number.

  Still NOTHING.  I can send text messages and emails, but cannot receive any.  Those who sent me mails or messages says their phones shows it was delivered.

  I removed my SD card and inserteded in my PC, copied the files.

  In USING THE PC, then I deleted most of the files on the SD card.

  Now, back to the Sib, list the full file is always visible, even though none will play apart (obviously) form the small number I left on the card.

  I can't find a way to remove these objects. I guess there is something like a fat somewhere... guess...?

  Hi, I have two e-mail accounts and for once they both worked very well. Recently, I changed the provider for one of them, and therefore I was not able to receive messages for it. I can send without any problem. I contacted fido as well as my e-mail host and the two went as far as possible, they say it's a rim problem now.

  I returned my service books several times my phone and my desktop computer. I have reset my phone several times. I deleted and then added my account several times my phone and my computer. Anyone have any ideas?

  So, I finally this issue is resolved. After 2 calls to fido without success, the second time, they said to call the rim. I called and was told that the technical support is paid. AAARGH. They also said that it was innapropriate for fido have ordered to call me when they have an internal escalation process that would have taken me RIM without cost to me. They offered to contact fido themselves and have someone to work with me. Thanks to the rim (which did not charge me!) Finally, I was put in touch with someone from tech who was willing to work with me and solve this problem once and for all. You know that you have a decent and knowledgeable person on the other end of the line when they ask you what you have already tried instead to go through all the process by heart. Very quickly, it determined that he had a fatal error in the coding of the fido the outgoing server. It has closed and reopened my account and in 15 minutes, I had all this work. Five days to run between three different organizations and in a few minutes work has been set. It shows you just that the real problem is to happen to someone who knows what they are doing.   I think the fact that your device is roaming a large part of the day could be a big part of the problem.

  Anyway, if you want to remove the enhanced gmail plug-in, and you're a little grumpy, follow these steps:

  1. first of all, use Desktop Manager to backup your device.

  2. make sure that the OS version installed on your BlackBerry is also installed on your PC.

  Look at the Options > approximately, in the third line starting with a "v.4.xxx" which is yours?

  a. locate your operator and the OS file that matches the above, that you want to use.

  b. download the file of the OS on the PC then install it to the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.

  3. go in c:\Program Files Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\your OS installation Windows\ and delete "net_rim_bb_gmail.alx". I create a folder in this folder named 'Deleted' and move the ALX file in the deleted folder.

  4. plug your BlackBerry and click twice on "Loader.exe." It is located in c:\Program Files\Common Research In Motion\apploader

  5 follow the prompts and App Loader should tell you that it is to detach a file as you go along.

  Be patient, the application loader will do its job and and the device will restart.
