BlackBerry smartphones always wireless to Verizon Storm 9530 t?

I do not understand the delay. I see that the upgreade wireless is available for Verizon, but I still don't get the response "No updates available" to my 9530 t.

The page for the 9500 says Verizon's upgrade. But not the 9530 t?

Official BlackBerry Storm Software Upgrade available for Verizon Wireless customers

All the methods listed show no software is available and I have the latest version of the OS.

Did I miss something?

DM.

Hello!

I think that this may be an older update of the. 65 (?) to the BONE actuel.75. If you scroll down on the original message, you will see that it is from 12/08. I do not think that there is no new update still Verizon, so if you are being execution.75 is why you receive a message "no updates available".

HTH some. I don't think that there is still no info on when another update will be available for Verizon!

Hello! Have you done a hard reset?

A hard reset is similar to rebooting a computer that is not responding. A hard reset shut BlackBerry applications and restarts the BlackBerry smartphone operating system reboots the hardware components of the BlackBerry smartphone, including the wireless transmitter/receiver.

Note: A hard reset deletes all settings or the data on the BlackBerry smartphone.

To perform a hard reset, follow these steps:

    1. Turn off the BlackBerry smartphone.
    2. Remove the battery.
    3. Reinsert the battery.
    4. Wait until that smartphone BlackBerry start.

    In addition,

Confirm that all installed third-party applications are approved for the device

Make sure that all third party applications installed on the BlackBerry smartphone are approved for the device. If the problem persists, remove third-party applications to ensure that they do not affect performance.

    And don't forget,

    Optimize flash memory

You can keep the smart phone BlackBerry operating at peak performance by maximizing the available flash memory. Increase the amount of available memory on your BlackBerry smartphone by performing the following tasks:

    1. Add a memory card
    2. Remove unused languages
    3. Delete call logs
    4. Remove the sample video
    5. Empty the Cache and Cookies in the browser
    6. Delete rarely used applications
    7. Delete old data

  • BlackBerry smartphones my questions on the Storm 2 9520

Hello everyone I do not have a Blackberry but I intend to update my phone soon and get a (I currently have a Nokia N95 8 GB). I looked through the list of Blackberry models, and the 9520 that I fell in love was the Storm 2 9520. I will probably get one, but I have several questions that I couldn't find clear answers on google. I'm picky about details on a phone, so I want to know everything before get you it. Here is the list of things that I had on my mind:

-J' read that this phone records videos in 3gp format and not mp4. I'm a little worried about that, because I feel 3gp is less intense than mp4 by Windows (Win 7 user here). For example, 3gp, I filmed with an old phone years ago don't even open correctly in most players and no audio. So, is the format the phone records in playable correctly in Windows (Linux too)?

-J' I always rename my pictures and my videos after taking. With the 9520, you can click a button or menu entry to rename an image / clip immediately after making it? Or they be saved with a name only automated, and you need to open your file browser and navigate to the file to be renamed?

-A curiosity, I got on the touch screen if it is based only on the detection of heat or by pressing physics too. What I've seen, the heat detection is used when you lightly touch the screen and select the stuff / drag, while only pressing is used actually click. I'm curious because I could use my phone outside in the winter when I have leather gloves, and the screen can not detect my body energy then. Of course, it is difficult to use any phone with gloves, but I sometimes do to some extent

-Use the charger micro-usb port, or another port? I know that some devices that use USB for charging and connection to the computer, which is a method that I prefer in general. No problem if it is not, just curious.

-In the specs of the phone, it says maximum 8 GB micro-SD cards are supported. Someone can confirm that more cards are inconsistent and do not work (16 / 32 GB ones)?

-J' read on a website that the only way to configure e-mail is to have a Blackberry Enterprise Server (do not exactly know what what). But you need to register with Blackberry using a classic IMAP / POP email account (like gmail or yahoo mail)? And besides, you need to register with any Blackberry service to use 3 G internet supplier or to use messenger (YIM MSN and AIM)? I'm guessing not, but always ask to be sure.

-J' heard some phones have this limit / problem, so just to be safe: can put you MP3 transferred from your computer as ringtones? Or do you need to download them online from special services, as I heard some phones force you to?

-J' read on several websites that there are complications with the installation of applications via the data cable. That's how I install most of my programs of others on phones. So if I have a jar or jad file on my desktop, is there no possible to install it via data cable unless I have an additional file with it? Same question for no java Blackberry applications.

-All Web sites mention that the OS 5 web browser does not support flash on web pages (which I find quite sad). However, I can still play the files flash directly from my phone so I just open the swf file?

-Can you play audio files in ogg / wav format? In addition, it can play video ogv, avi or mpeg?

-Can I download themes for it that change the icons and colors of the menus? I guess the definition of custom screen (independent of the subject) shouldn't be a problem. Also, is there a free software that allows you to create your own themes and exporting it to the phone via data cable?

-Are there also a front-facing camera for 3G video chat?

-J' read on the differences between the 9520 and 9550 and that the 9550 has a frequency of additional network, sure it can work. Everyone says that you can not use a Blackberry in America if you buy it in Europe, in particular the 9520. Is this true? And the more vital than the 9520 9550 compatibility?

-OS 6 will come to the 9520 too? Some sites say it won't, while than others whether in devices that it will support an update. Hope very much it will be

-Finally, this could be a sensitive issue and I don't know how poorly seen on it is here. But it's easy to unlock / debrand the 9520? I would like to get the latest versions of firmware and do not have the limited phone.

Someone mentioned the provider to branding is not done for commercial reasons, but in order to keep the compatible phone (and shouldn't even be illegal to debrand). So I think it should be ok.

Yes, they are a lot of questions that may seem ridiculous. I got this phone for several years, so I want to know all about it. Thanks to all those who can help you meet them, and keep up the good work with phones

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Wow! You do your job, I admire that! I'll answer what I can...

3GP is the native video recording format. All you need is the codec on your PC to read. I downloaded a free transcoder and it not only transcode avi (and other formats) for me, but also to put the codec appropriate in what I can play natively without transcoding. QuickTime, I think a codec were also held. There are plenty of audio and the recorded video.

Hmmm... haven't really tried to do... worst case, of course you can rename them later.

In fact, storm BBs use two detection of heat as well as the physical press. It's called SurePress technology. Heat detection determines where on the screen you touch and then physical pressure activates the 'click' somehow. The entire screen is great physical button, whose activity is determined by your finger on the screen position when you press. As such, I doubt it'll work with gloves on at all. I know, on the ski slopes, I remove my glove to do something with my 9550.

On the BB, a port for all functions. Micro USB for charging and attached USB data transfer. When connected to a PC with the drivers installed, the BB will be time load (from the USB port of the PC) as well as allow the transfer of data.

    MirceaKitsune wrote:

Technically, the BB model is unrelated to the size of the SD card, it supports. It is rather a function of the OS level that the BB is running according to the instructions this KB:

    • KB05461 Formats supported by the version of BlackBerry Device Software of card MicroSD

What this site is fake. If you happen to be in a business with BES (or purchase hosted BES) environment, you can indeed have the enhanced features that allow only to BES. But, through BIS (Blackberry Internet Service), you can interface more all connected to the internet e-mail services. See this:

You mus, t, however, Subscribe to the level of the appropriate of your carrier data plan to activate the true PUSH email function bis.

I've never tried it myself, but I'm sure you can define file types to be ringtones to several media.

Applications can be installed via the data cable as long as they meet the necessary criteria to make according to this KB:

    • KB15172 How to install applications using the application loader tool in BlackBerry Desktop Manager

If you have the .jad file, which can simply be copied on the BB and then executed on the BB to install the application.

Yes, you can download themes (I have to admit no experience with this...) I found no need to use themes that I need my BB to feature what I need... themes he dressed simply in my humble OPINION). I have no idea on how to create themes.

This issue is not that I consider as responsible. Everyone has their particular circumstances they need to meet. The features of the search machine and the frequency ranges of carriers that you want to run. Then choose the device that fits your specific needs.

Without no doubt... but this isn't an authoritative answer. And you will not be able to receive replies by authorities here. Basically, upgraded the specs for OS 6.0 here:

With the series Storm conspicuous by their absence, I consider any current to be candidates for the OS6.0 storms. But it is indeed in my humble OPINION.

Hmmm... release information can be found here:

But I'm not sure of your premises. You seem to be saying that you are locked in your level of update of carriers, as long as your BB is blocked. This is false. Unlocking is simply the function to allow your BB run on a network of different carriers... at the level of the BONE is irrelevant to that. You are free to use the carriers released OS for your specific model BB... There is just a tiny thing that you need to follow. But unlocking is not necessary to do so. There's nothing illegal or anything about unlocking. But it is useless unless and until you want to reverse your BB to another carrier.

  • Files of Outlook of Smartphones from blackBerry can not be seen on Storm 9530

I have a 9530 and subfolders under my contacts in Outlook 2003.  Is it possible that these records will appear also on my Storm?  I have in the categories but prefer records.

Contacts on the BB has not the same set up for categories / folders than outlook a. I the same set using the 2007 version. The BB OS is not Microsoft office. It is compatible in many ways, but the contacts set up is different.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Priv Wireless charging

I just read that the Blackberry Priv sold by companies to the Canada has no wireless charge.  This is my first Blackberry phone and I bought it because it seemed that it is an amazing phone, but also because I wanted to support a Canadian company.  When I read the card, he said he had the support wireless but now I find this is not the case. I got Samsung phones for years and the new include Wireless charging.  I was ready for a higher price for the Priv because I liked the features - and most of all it IS A COMPANY OF CANADA!

I already have the phone... I am able to negotiate that has wireless charging.   I'm feeling a little ripped off the coast that this has not been stated when I bought the phone - because it's an important feature that has been removed from phones sold in the Canada.  I can't understand why a Canadian company would do it quietly to Canadian customers.

So my question once again; Can I return Priv I just buy and get a BlackBerry directly who is responsible wireless?

PS - I love the private (but all models must have a wireless charging for the price we paid)

You have basically 2 things to update a blackberry

1 desktop software blackberry (which is like your itunes)

2 the software update to the blackberry device.

First install the blackberry desktop software, then upgrade device. After installing upgrade of device setup, it prompts you to run the desktop software. Say 'yes '. Also, connect your device via the USB cable to the computer. Now

in the Software Desktop Manager choose upgrade software and you should be done in 30 minutes about.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones YouTube & wireless connection error

It is a recent problem, which I think started happening after I connected my BlackBerry on my PC for updates (what I'd done before without any problem... go figure). No idea why it's happening!

Whenever I go to http://m.youtube.com and you try to view any video on the site, the BlackBerry media player asks to go to the WAP for media streaming (OK), the player load and displays "Loading"... "in the upper corner, and after about a minute of this loading the following error message appears:

"Wireless network connection has been disconnected. Please try again. »

I have a package with Rogers Wireless (Ontario, Canada) and that you have tried the steps above using networks of their 2 G & 3 G with the same error message.  It connect and listen properly when I my home connection Wi - Fi enabled. Browsing other websites and online applications using works fine with 2G / 3G or Wi - Fi.

No idea why this is happening all of a sudden?  Here are a few more bullet-point details:

    * OS version 4.6.0.28 2

    * Firewall disabled

    * Data services set to 'On' in the Mobile network

    * Advanced Options - browser - the value "Rogers Mall" default WAP browser configuration (do not think that what counts)

    * Have tried to "wipe Handheld", but that did not fix it (surprise!)

    * The Deskop Manager erase all functions under the overused Application Loader... also did not work.

I think I must miss a few tiny, or accidentally erased details some manual entry, that I should not have which would not be restored when I formatted the device.  Can someone help me?

    Thank you!

For someone who has had this same problem, it seems to have resolved itself.  I'd say it's probably due to a problem (hopefully temporary) with the carrier, not your phone, that I have not changed the settings on my BB for this post.

    See you soon.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Can I use a Storm 9550?

Hi, Im currently using a 1 Storm 9500 model provided to my local network, Globe Telecom in the Philippines here. When I heard about the Storm 2, I was so excited but unfortunately was informed by Globe they won't promote or Storm 2 of marketing. Not even the other network.

Then, he left me no choice than to search one unlocked Storm 2 (openline) on the open market. Today, I saw a local store selling a Storm 2 9550 with a Verizon marking model. The staff told me that it was unlocked by the factory. However in my internet browsing, I was told that model 9520 are destined for Asia and Europe while 9550 is for North America and the United States.

A website says that if you use a 9520 in the USA, only GPRS would work and not the 3G because USA network is different. So, my concern now is if vice versa, I bought the unlocked 9550 and use it in the Philippines, does that mean that the 9550 will not work on our 3G here being different to the American system?

Enjoy an advisor if please if I should get the 9550 or look for a 9520 unlocked that is intended for Asia and Europe.

    Please notify.

    Thank you very much

    Hello

Without a doubt, you can use a Storm2 on your network. I use my Storm 2 (that I bought on ebay from the us.) in Hungary without any problem, even here there is no carrier that has this device in their portfolio. The only thing you need to check is the frequency of computer networks. This is supported by Storm 2 9550:

    • Quad-band: networks of MHz GSM® / GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900
    • Single band: 2100 MHz UMTS/HSPA networks
    • Dual band: 800/1900/information MHz CDMA/Ev-DO Rev A networks

AFAIK, Storm 1 supports the same thing, so I don't know that you can use safely storm 2 without any problems.

I'm not an expert on the use of the MAC version of office, but the messages that you receive, there must be something more to clear. You could try a WIPE on the BB to really clear everything... then try the update again. Unless, of course, WIPE is what you mean when you said "Format".
