  Hi all. Have a little problem. I had to go back to an old 9700 When my current iPhone broke. I needed a new card SIM from the iPhone using a different card. When I called Rogers to activate the SIM everything was fine for about a minute. I received texts that were pending since Sunday when my iPhone broke. I had full bars etc. Once a minute, he went to SOS only. While I was on the phone with Rogers Tech Support I have reset and removed the battery and SIM and all the things they wanted me to.   He said that I should try to reinstall the OS, but that it will block the phone and I need to unlocked again.

  Is there anything else it could be? Will reinstall the OS relock the phone? Any other suggestions?

  First this... avoid this tech Rogers like the plague. He has no idea what he's talking about. All what he told you is simply not possible. Once MEP unlocked, a BB device can blocked at the factory. Nothing of what you have done or the facilities of any OS can relock a BB.

  I'd rather a complete security on the Device Wipe:

  Otherwise, a ResetToFactory WIPE:

  After each one, put it in the SIM card and switch on the device, and then make sure that the voice is through Rogers. Only then start to worry about getting all the data to work (if you subscribe BIS, in other words).

  Try to run your device in safe mode. You should be able to remove the theme of the problem. I suggest a peripheral complete backup using Desktop Manager before deleting anything.

  I need help. I just got a new 9720 BB after that my old BB 9220 phone stopped working. Before the old defective phone, I got my data backed up on the server by using BB BB protect.

  I signed into my new BB using my BB ID and my BBM restored 9720 my BBM contacts. However all data like contacts, Notepad, messages, e-mails and whatsapp are not restored.
  Whenever I go to BB protect app, it does not give me the option to restore, rather they want to back up my current phone.

  Can anyone help me to restore all my data saved on my old BB Phone on the BB to BB Server protect in my new BB Phone?

  However, things can be odd, depending on what you mean by "completely"? Several carriers push icons "teaser" to get you to install applications they're pushing. But the icon itself is not an application installed... rather just a shortcut to "tease" you to install the application. You can't stop these teaser icons.

  First perform a battery pull reboot as this device on remove the battery for a min. then reinsert it wit back up what your device restarts. Then give it a try and see if it allows you to uninstall this application.

  If that does not start then your device on Safe Mode, while safe mode remove the theme of your device. Options of > device > application > remove it of there.after conducting another battery pull reboot.
