  However, things can be odd, depending on what you mean by "completely"? Several carriers push icons "teaser" to get you to install applications they're pushing. But the icon itself is not an application installed... rather just a shortcut to "tease" you to install the application. You can't stop these teaser icons.

  I believe you are referring to the application Ribbon that you can assign by doing Alt + ESC and hold down Alt.
  This Ribbon, you will see:

  • any other application that you have already opened

  So basically, when I'm in an application (for example, the media), I do not like LorrieM: I do Alt + ESC, then press Esc several times until I get to the app I want (such as Messages), and then I let go of the Alt key and I get the Message request.

  I had to replace my phone (Blackberry Curve 8530) a few days ago while I was trying to download some apps I had on my previous phone. But, when I try to download the applications, a message appears indicating "application unavailable for download from blackberry app world" I know is false.
