BlackBerry smartphones are not emails

As of this morning, I receive emails on my phone.  I have two accounts e-mail set up on my phone and no one receives e-mails.  I know I should be because I get them on my laptop.  I can send emails from an account, but I can't receive them.  I contacted AT & T (my service provider) and they couldn't help me.  They gave me a number of support for Balckberry (877-255-2377), but I was unable to get through.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... ( Please wait for this before moving on to the next step) :

(1) registry HRT

  • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
  • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

(2) remove and return Service directories

  • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
  • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
  • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
  • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

(3) restart to take batt

  • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your BIS configuration for these accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for official support... but...

It's very very interesting... I suspect the one who talked you to ATT was not (I'll be gentle) adequate training. Contractually, end users have no way to try to contact BlackBerry directly for anything (well, not for free). Rather, the carrier should worsen your BlackBerry case and provide you more information (for example, a file number)... but just to give you a phone number means (I'm sorry), the person gave you att, because this isn't how the support system. And it's actually a bit surprising... all the reports I've heard indicate ATT to get a best trained support groups for BB to anyone... but maybe they skate.

In any case, if the above does not work, their ring upwards and insist that they solve it correctly. Emphasis first to be transferred to the personal support of BB dedicated ATT (I think they have such a group) because it is also a mandatory step before be remounted for BlackBerry (but correctly... not the way you describe).

Good luck!

  • Sync of DM of blackBerry Smartphones 'are not connected to the internet.

I have the BB Curve 8330. I HAD DM 4.3. I bought the new computer, with Windows 7, and I downloaded the latest version of the DM. Now the message says that you are not connected to the internet. I did a lot of research today, and I do not understand much about the proxies. The only thing I see is that I listed port 80, but I see no other. I don't know if I need these two ports, and if I do, I do not understand how to find the address and add the other port. I know as little about proxies that I don't even know if I am this wording of the questions correctly! Sorry! I hope someone can help without a really complicated solution!

Sorry that I was not back to meet and finalize this - had some seedlings to make! Finally got between this rain! I digress... Well had a few other issues with my new computer, HP have called and got help from them - couldn't even send and receive emails more. I'm embarrassed to say that the problem with my timing and electronic mail was Norton Antivirus! I had to uninstall it - that you can't even do it right on your computer, you must go to their website and get a special tool to uninstall it and when it was all finished, my e-mail has started working again and so did my syncing. I can't believe that a program like this can cause so much havoc. I know there are a lot of threads that say to deal with your antivirus, but there was a trial version on my new computer that I had not subscribed too, and even the trial were exhausted. I had checked all my settings on anti-virus, but it didn't matter. I had to uninstall all.  Thanks for your help anyway. You always learn a lot that you go when you run into problems. My own Kaspersky program is now installed, my BB is in sync, work e-mail, and seeding is finished - everything is good!

I put it to handset simply because I want to just that all my messages in the folder main message, but whenever a new message arrives I have to go to the SMS Inbox folder.

    Problem 2:

I have the same problem with my email, I get to a new email notification, but it is no - where.

    Problem 3:

I put my blackberry to the vibrate profile, the only time where it seems to vibrate when I get a new notification from facebook and that's it.

    Please help, thanks

I did a hard cancel and the problem seems to have I think with messages.

Not too sure on the vibration, just wait someone texts me I guess xD

  • Synchronization with Outlook with BB blackBerry Smartphones does not email. Is there a solution?

I downloaded the latest version of the software of BB Desktop and I have no problem with the synchronization of contacts, calendar, reminders and notes. However, there is no other choice (tick) to select sync my BB email with my desktop email. The way right now, if I want to keep my e-mail synchronized on my PC and my BB I have to do it manually. If RIM provides support for synchronization of Outlook e-mail, are there available third party software to do this?

All three of the e-mail on the BB accounts are accounts ISP and not accounts of Blackberry Enterprise server.

    Thank you

    Gary

Thanks a lot for your answer. I've been using devices that use Microsoft Activesync and this problem does not occur. Unfortunately, I will have try to keep emails on three devices to update or I'll start to use an iphone or a device that uses Microsoft Activesync.

  • BlackBerry Blackberry Smartphones are not invitations

My husband & I have a Blackberry 8330. We are on BIS and use only our personal email accounts. When he sends me a meeting invitation, I receive an e-mail message in Outlook, but the invitation is not on my device. I can't accept the e-mail meeting invitation, he comes as a bunch of text and don't even tell me the date or time of the meeting. It seems not serious if the invitation is updated an existing meeting or another. He receives invitations I send him very well.

Does anyone have ideas, what could be the problem?

I deleted and then recreated my profile of BIS husbands repeatedly trying to solve its problems of synchronization of calendar. My mail server address does not match my husband, then I deleted mine and recreated it. When I did, my mail server has changed. I had my husband send me an appointment test & it came through very well.

Apparently, Earthlink has changed the server that uses the Blackberry.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi raviv001

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

Have you tried a battery pull reboot? Otherwise, do it like this while your unit is on the battery and also the SIM card then wait a min... After that insert them back. After reboot to see if your device back to normal.

    Hi kyachinumog

No, I'm sorry but you are wrong! RIM has never neglected the India or any country in Asia, infact they do much more for us than America or Europe. Regarding the support for BlackBerry Maps questions have been raised regularly. As she opened a Forums I don't want to explain all the facts, but some of our Government policies restricting these Services in India and a few country neighbors. I hope you understand.

  • Text messages new SMS to blackBerry Smartphones are NOT showing as unread "Bold" 9700

The other day that I woke up literally with a few new text messages that I only found now texting the same people. Apparently, I got these messages, but the envelope icon was always white next to the unread messages. Since then, whenever I receive a new text message, my phone sounds like it should, my light flashes red but still no yellow envelope or the number of unread messages red GOLD star on sms folder. If I score no read manually I get very least the Red Star (which is normal). E V E R Y T H I N G else works fine including the BBM and emails.

I've tried resets many hard, pull the battery, I even turned on my phone without the SIM inside. I even deleted the most recent application, I've updated. Tried a different theme, removed this theme... etc. I was on google for most of my time at work even the past 2 days and still no luck.

I have not controlled and checked the show new message indicator, but also deactivated and reactivated the number of messages (note the order).

    Help, please!

  • Synchronization of Contacts from blackBerry Smartphones are not

I have a user with a 8800 from T-Mobile. His contacts used to synchronize correctly. It is adding contacts in Outlook, and they used to sync to the BlackBerry. Any suggestions?

Thank you all so much for your help!

You have access to the BES. Looks like the [SYNC] maintenance of office address is missing or damaged. If you have access to the BES you can send service directories to devices of the person to see if that fixes the problem.

If you do not have access to the BES check the following on the BlackBerry. From the device, you can see if the user has the present desktop [SYNC] service book. If they do, try to delete this book and regenerate the encryption key. Then see if the SYNC book returns. If this is not the case, go back to the screen Service Book and do a restore. Anyway the book Desktop [SYNC] will come back. After that did see if wireless synchronization is located in the options of the address book with a value set to Yes.

Then you must call BASE and ask them to ENSURE that your device PIN/IMEI is put in service to your account, what you say, it is clear that it is not.

If the BASE is not useful or can not solve it, ask that this matter be ADS at technical level RIM support. You may need to require climbing, or ask a supervisor/manager to do.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not connect BlackBerry Pearl 9105 for PC

    Hello world

    I have the following problem:

After using my BB Pearl 9105 for almost 3 years, I can not connect to PC more (I still menu with choice of 3 options on my smartphone when I connect, but when I click on that option "usb" or "charge", the menu appears again).

In addition, the PC does not recognize my smartphone as a usb device. Updated BlackBerry Desktop Software and the purchase of the new Micro-USB cable did not help.

    I can still load.

Could anyone suggest me how to solve this problem?

In addition, make sure you use only the root USB ports... without hubs (sometimes the front-end ports are hubs... use a rear USB port). And don't forget to try to disable the USB power management in the configuration of your system (Device Manager).

Check also on the incompatible software... it was reported that NTI Shadow Ninja & software can cause a conflict; Remove and reinstall the desktop software BB allows to install correctly.

My apologies in advance if this is redundant - there is no way to be sure that if you have already seen and tried these. Also apologies if all are not currently available... RIM takes their monte and descends at will as they revise things.
