BlackBerry smartphones confused info by country availability

According to http://www.blackberry.com/app_includes/devicesoftware/appworld/appworld_availability_en.html App World should be available in Slovakia. I have install successfully on my Curve 9300 but when I try to open it I get a message error "BlackBerry App World is not currently available in your country. Please check blackberry.com/appworld for updates". Is this a configuration problem on my phone or is wrong the news of availability?

Well, now that's funny... when I use the same link you provided, , I see a different list... but, I just deleted my cache and information now is different... now matches what you pasted. So, the next step is for you to contact your operator to make sure that you meet the requirements of the plan (to them) access to AppWorld (via their network) service.

In addition, AppWorld is currently accessible only through your corporate data network - WiFi is not used for access to AppWorld under any circumstances.

Finally, know that AppWorld is simply a portal, vending apps developed mainly by others. Therefore, it is not your exclusive supply source - there are others that you can try (e.g., Handango, Handmark, BPlay, GetJAR and Mobihand). I found that there are very few applications that is exclusive to AppWorld. You can see the online catalogue and then look for other sources of supply, including quite often on the developer website.

Good luck!

  • Database of blackBerry Smartphones the address book not available for synchronization

... "For help to resolve this problem, refer to KB19454 in the Knowledge Base of Blackberry Desktop Manager".

I did, and it says this:

Cause 1: the BlackBerry smartphone does not contain the PIM application you are trying to synchronize with. For example, the screenshot above error has occurred as a result of the application of tasks is not installed on the BlackBerry smartphone.

Then, of course the BlackBerry has the address book app installed, and if it wasn't the cause.  I followed some of the sons of other related expenses and came up with nothing.

I synced before - first time that successfully, this worked great, the second time that he kept failing, so I changed the setting to REPLACE my address book on the BlackBerry each sync, who has worked several times, and now this.

    GRRRR... of ideas?

Worked like a champ, with the only exception to the process.  When I looked at my address book to the end, he had more than one entry for each record.  So I went back to the process, but this time, before you reconnect and resynchronize, I deleted manually additional entries - for some reason, they were still there, even though I "erased" address book information!  I'm guessing that these entries were originally a part of the problem.  Anyway, once deleted I've reconnected, resynced ' by replacing ' content of the BB for the address book - and now I have great 2-way synchronization job. "  Thank you!

  • BlackBerry smartphone App World is not available in my country?

    Hi all

I just bought a Curve 8520 and I really like it. I tried to download apps, I realized that the App World is not available in Romania, where I live. Is there a way around this? I really want to use some of these applications...

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Leah,

You can use another store that does not have AppWorld. For example MobiHand, Handango, GetJAR, BPlay.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Lotus Notes none of 'available desktop applications.

I have a Blackberry Curve 8330 (Telus) and that you have installed the latest Blackberry Desktop Manager via download from the RIM site.  I also updated the OS to the latest version available.  In both cases, the installation disc has proposed update of the OS with the Blackberry Desktop Manager.

Once I connected with my desktop via USB, my curve is recognized by the Office Manager.  I am able to load and remove programs, etc.  However, I can't synchronize my data in Lotus Notes as Desktop Manager doesn't even recognize Lotus Notes as part of "Office available applications" with which it will synchronize.  Indeed, the only 'desktop' that are recognized are '', "ASCII importer/exporter" and "Yahoo".

I use a plain Jane Lotus Notes client version 6.5 on your Windows XP desktop.  The Office of the OS has all XP service packs and updates (updates to the interminable!).

As a temporary measure, I use a free trial of Companionlink to synchronize my Lotus Notes contacts, calendar and tasks with my curve.  CompanionLink works as an add-in for Office Manager.  There is, however, no syncing notes notebook with the intimate Lotus Notes of Journal database.

I much prefer my curve, but have been spoiled by the simple way and reliable mNotes synchronized my Lotus Notes data with my old Treo 700 p and my old Windows Mobile smartphone.

Is there a solution?  Does anyone else have this problem?

Turns out the problem be that my installation of Lotus Notes is not the location of my Lotus Notes data files in the Windows registry.  The solution is Blackberry Support Document KB11410.  Before finding this document, I had uninstalled Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.6 and installed Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.2 SP 2 so that completely reinstall my Lotus Notes Client 6.5.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones confused by numbers

I hope that I am not alone to be confused by the many versions of the operating system for the 9105. After checking the updates via the BB site and was told not available, I wonder if automatic verification only works in a major version of OS 5 or 6.

I have a UK handset brand v5.0.0.884 (platform 6.2.0.94) currently running. I guess there is no update in OS 5.

However, this topic OS 6? 6 OS can be installed as an update?

Depending on where I read, I feel OS 6 is available for my device, but then the other sources seem to indicate no.

If it is not available, very well. If this is the case, then I decide to do or not.

    Help appreciated.

1 there is no true "unbranded" BlackBerry devices, each device has a code provider in this document, although there may be no "brand" on the camera body.

    2. the search for methods of upgrade Manager Wi - Fi and office for upgrade releases from residues in the service provider to which the device is to brand, device operating system versions are "liberated" by specific carriers once they are certified and trained in their support technicians, but still, you are able to load all carrier model by following the instructions below.

At present, 6.0.0.481 is the latest version of operating system version officially for the 9100/9105 model.

    You can download it here:

    https://www.BlackBerry.com/downloads/entry.do?code=02A32AD2669E6FE298E607FE7CC0E1A0

Make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.

    1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
    2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

  • BlackBerry smartphones send Info Contact

Sorry for the stupid question, but I couldn't find answers in the forums.  How to send information from your list of contacts to another person?  Here's the question - I was at lunch with a colleague and she said: have you coordinates of Antia?  Of course I make my response. She asked me to send it to him and I have no idea how to do that.  I can send a txt with contact inside information or how do I send it to her?  She was using a Palm if it makes a difference.  Also is there a way I can send my personal business card or contact information?

When you write an e-mail, simply click on the Menu button (button to the left of the trackball) or on the scroll wheel and select attach the address.  This will bring you to your BlackBerry address book to select the contact you want to send.

If the email is received on a BlackBerry, the attachment can be read and added to the address book of the recipient.  The attachment is sent in the fairly universal. VCF format, so most people should be able to open the attachment or save it in most of PIM applications.

  • BlackBerry smartphones confused in the status column in the Applications section

Hello and welcome to the community!

In fact, there is nothing you can do with "required" items... they are only required for the functionality of the system. You have no option to remove and therefore without tic-box available. Simply, they are listed as part of the installation of the OS, but there is nothing you can do with them.

    Hope that helps!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones confused about worlds App Browser-still cannot download a particular application

OK, so I'm among those who have difficulties in the App World on my mobile phone.  I tried to download an application and that it froze essentially on me saying "start download" and I have not been able to get rid of the icon in "MyWorld" of this application from Blackberry App World.

BlackBerry Tech says this is a known problem and it will be fixed as soon as

I just heard the announcement that Blackberry App World can now be read online vs cell phone only

    http://appworld.BlackBerry.com/WebStore/

I found the app I wanted and tried since Friday, entered my email address but he never did a normal download it came with 2 options:

    «Open in Blackberry App World»

    OR

    'Download App World '.

What the heck, I thought that the online consultation to your home desktop computer and your mobile phone was a way to download an application to the outside using the App World dang total application?

I would try an application and see what it says

    Yes; 2 the same means.

So maybe I misread the whole purpose of put the App World in a browser based environment vs being on mobile phone only.

Is - it so people can surf the internet and make it more easy for them to find the apps they want so they don't have to use the cell phone a lot?  That means that rather a consumer mobile phone battery waste put App World in a browser environment, it will be much easier to consult/download etc?

Or as I said, I thought Blackberry App World in a setting of browser was an "alternative" to download the application, so we do not use the actual application?

    / sigh

The web version of the App World is indeed a place to see the apps.  I think that this has been implemented to mitigate somewhat complaints people where they wanted to they could just browse the catalog of online via their computer applications (bigger screen, faster, etc.).  Of course, RIM has put it, so now we want more.

I don't know what are the plans for the future of RIM for the web version, but for now, the only way you can download apps is via AppWorld on your phone.  I think that it is also partially AppWorld being able to communicate directly with your phone to determine the model number of your phone, PIN, etc.  You will notice that all applications for all devices currently on the web version, while the version you have on your phone displays the specific applications that are compatible for your phone.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones confused Newbie: scheduling issues

    Hello

I just got a BB b/c I was sick and tired of issues w / my very popular Palm software.

But where the hell is the BB calendar on my desktop software?  I downloaded everything... but I can't find the calendar!

    Thank you!

There is no "calendar software" on your PC, BlackBerry.

You use the calendar on the BlackBerry and then synchronize these data calendar using the Desktop Manager to your PC for a PC like Outlook application or even a Google Calendar.

    Download Desktop Manager here:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones media options are not available

I've upgraded to version 6 of the desktop software and now I can't see all of the photos I have in my blackberry. When I click on the images, I get the following:

I don't get the legs that are supposed to show by saying "device images" or "computer". I didn't have this problem with version 5 of the software. I have 'mass storage' put on the market. The photos are not in the internal memory a media card. I tried to access the images through "my computer", but the reader that appears for blackberry says 'insert disk '. I read a Ko that describes this symptom but it only apply if the device showed 0001 or 8001 in Device Manager. Show you mine 8004. Can anyone help?

Thanks to Thomas that responded to the questionnaire. Fortunately, I managed to solve this problem last night. Before your post, I also tried dm6 uninstall & reinstall except to take out the battery & disable the firewall. That did not work. I tried to install dm5 since that worked before and that no longer works.  What worked was a fix by blackberry. Although it requires you to ensure that your blackberry says 0001 or 8001 in windows 'Device Manager' mine says 8004. I tried anyway since I didn't have much to lose at this stage and it worked.

I would switch to dm6, once again, but I don't want to take the risk now that I have it working. Maybe in the future. The link at the bottom of my post contains the fix for this problem. As I said your blackberry does not necessarily mean 0001 or 8001. Give it a try the next time you have this problem. Although he said that you need version 4 and 5 DM I guess that it will work with dm6.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Google Calendar is not available for synchronization via GMail plugin

    Hi people!

I'm a newbie using a BB (from the Android world). When I try to configure my gmail account, everthing works fine... BUT

The schedule synchronization box is missing on the device. When I navigate to the BIS and get the account, I get the following message near the checkbox (see screenshot below). As you can guess, I already have a calendar to my gmail account and I tried to set up another calendar in doubt of my self. Anything will do, yet. I have already downloaded the app from Google sync, but I need this synchronization for my business account, which is hosted on google apps.

Clues? (Btw.. google'ing the message brought no usable results)

    News of the device:

    -BB Bold 9780

    -OS 6.0 bunle 1306 (v6.0.0.359, platform 6.5.0.93)

-Carrier is O2 Germany with active BB module

OK, I got the 'solution '. It's very simple!

The trick is the user name you use, the better the area. Google Mail offers two domain names:

    @googlemail.com

    and

    @gmail.com

The calendar is available only if you use the field @gmail.com ! Do not use the connection of [email protected], but [email protected]!

    And... magic... brrzl... it works

  • BlackBerry Smartphones calling Indication - change country

    Hello

    I need help here.

I work in the Philippines (+ 63 country code) while I'm from Malaysia (+ 60). I've saved my contacts include the country code to easily call and send TEXT messages when I'm abroad. 2 weeks ago, when I go back to Malaysia, I replace my card SIM Philippines to my Malaysian simcard. Someone in my telephone contact, there will be only contact number appears without the name, although it is confirmed that they are in my contact list. When I try to recalled that the call record number, it automatically adds the area code of the Philippines (+ 63) where it is supposed to be the country of Malaysia (+ 60) code because I am in Malaysia. Every time, when I need to call someone, I will need to get my contact number and cannot call via the number stored in the appeal record. Otherwise, I should enter the number again.

Can anyone advice what should I do?

    Thank you.

1 make sure that you set your own country code (and you may need to change it every time you change the SIM card in another country) to the Dialer phone screen > Options > smart dialing.
Set your country Code in this format: "+ xx" where xx = country code. Some countries have two or three-digit country Codes. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
    * In the United States, the value of this country as '+ 1' Code and place your code in the appropriate box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).

    2. in the same place, change the length of National number for the number of digits corresponding to your country (since some countries have less than 10 as that set by default in the BB). Check out the total numbers, less country code. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
    * For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (more than 3 for the country code). You must enter '8 '.

  • BlackBerry smartphones for info on Apple Discussion forums

I've been on the discussion forums apple looking for a matter of ical/entourage. There are questions about BB there. I answered one and sent the link for Mac and BB (this section). Mainly on the synchronization of AddressBook and iCal problems.

It's just something I thought I'd post, not sure you guys are going to do with him.

    Brooke

Not really. I put the value sync with iCal and address book in Entourage. I would have more than 10 copies of the same item. So I stopped the sync and wanted to import iCal to Entourage. I discovered that Entourage is not giving me as many headaches as iCal and address book. I couldn't find a way to import iCal into a text file for the Entourage. I started just manually check all of 1943 (when the recurring events begin). I wish there was an easier way. I put them in my BB first then sync to the Entourage. This way I can compare them to see if they are a double, or more...
