BlackBerry Smartphones Desktop Mgr - password login on reinstall

HI - hope someone can help.   I had two months of good operation and syncing with my computer HP laptop and BB 8330 Curve, everything was fine until I had to send the laptop hinge repair... Well the service people also reconfigured my computer too.  (Thank you gee)  Meanwhile my BB is still get email and functioning fine with programs that I have loaded before.  BUT - I would like to connect to Desktop Manager.

Then loaded the installation disc and connected the BB via USB, it sees it but asks me a password.  I put in the PW does it work to unlock the BB , but it does not recognize.  What should I do - I tried 6 times and you want to wipe the device!

Thank you

  • Password blackBerry Smartphones Desktop Manager

My Dexktop Manageer software does not accept my password.  I guess I don't know what password they ask.  I tried my phone password, my password Blackberry and even a few random that I use for other applications.

Thanks for the tips.  I disabled the password to my phone and now I can use the software.  That won't be a problem, turn it off for my synch.  I'm thinking of getting a new phone and wanted to back up my data before buying. A small question.  When I first bought the phone and used the Desktop Manager, it asked for the password, and then remembered?  Or he reads my password of my phone.  The reason why I ask is because I've changed my password several times since my purchase and I was wondering if it was reading an old password.  This problem is during the month, but I never had the time to remedy.  Thanks again, and I consider that this problem should be solved.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how know my login and password for a new app in App World?

I downloaded App World today, because I wanted the app "My Personal Health Record". Now, I have both, I can't in the health record but it assumes that I have the login and the password. I do? I have no idea. I've tried everything I can think of, but it doesn't seem to be a way to understand what they might be. Any ideas? All downloaded an app that does not allow because of this?

I think I've answered my own question finally.  I deleted and reloaded the app and saw that I could scroll down.  He told me to go to a website, which I'm about to do and create an account.  Oh, well.   Thanks anyway!  Laughing out loud

  • 9300 user - set up email - blackBerry Smartphones baffled - incorrect password error

I hope someone here can shed some light ofn this because I spent 3 weeks trying to solve and I'm still stuck after literally hours on the phone to the network provider and explore every possible potential cause.

About three weeks ago, I upgraded my Curve 9300 BB at 9380.  I copied settings using desktop software preconfigured and transferred to my new camera.  Applications reinstalled fine and I put five e-mail accounts, including 3 (business email) offered in a hosting account with Media Temple.  These all work very well and still do.

My old phone had to be given to a colleague, so I reset the device and set all settings at default and follow the procedure for a new SIM card.  When we tried to put in place the enamel on the old device (9300) wouldn't giving the error message Impossible to verify the account contact email provider.  I am the administrator of the e-mail accounts so I know that the settings are correct., network provider resets all settings for email etc and account details BIS etc are all correct.  The e-mail account works through outlook and is accessible via webmail, and we tried changing password and even deleted and created a new e-mail account, but always the same problem - error message telling the user or incorrect password.

I hope that it was a problem with the settings of the old appliance (9300) we could identify and address but it seems not to be that now when I try to put in place a new e-mail account on my new camera (9380) I get the same problem!  User password error - when data are 100% correct and on a device that I have successfully implemented the same type of email account!

I'm completely puzzled and if anyone has or knows a similar problem and has information about this, or has managed to solve, I would like to hear that I've explored everything I can think of network hosts and email.

You must call your provider to find out if the 9300 is properly registered on their network and on behalf of SIM card in the device. They need to confirm the good BlackBerry data Plan on this account, it is not unusual for them wrongly not do or provide incorrect data plan.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Desktop Software - HELP! It syncs more

After updating the software of office about a month ago I am more able to synchronize Organizer data. It worked wonderfully well before this, but I can't seem to find a link or site for the previous version of the software download. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the new software without success. I have reset the settings several times but without success. I connect the phone (torch 9860) to the computer and open the software. I put it on auto-sync and synchronize dialog box appears for a split second, then disappears. At this point, there has been no synchronization. I then click on the "sync button" bottom right of the screen and the Synchronization dialog box.

Photos & video can be synchronized but not data. I left it like that for hours but nothing happens. The only way I can close it is CTRL + ALT + DELETE and close it through Task Manager.

I'm doing something wrong? Can anyone help? It's bugged the hell out of me as it was working perfectly before. Is this the right place to ask this question because I'm having no luck elsewhere.

    Bravo!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Desktop Sync no longer works

Thanks for reading and for any input that you are willing to offer.

I have Windows 7 Professional. My Outlook profile is stored on an Exchange Server and my Blackberry had previously beeng synchronization with Outlook in this configuration for nearly a year without problem.

Recently, the software freezes the message 'Engine Action loading configuration' and is unrecoverable. I tried the following things to remedy the situation:

    (1) adjust the settings Organizer not to synchronize anything except the date & time. Still happens

    (2) remove all data from the device using Desktop software and try to resynchronize. Same problem

    (3) uninstall and reinstall Blackberry Desktop Software and try to sync with all of the original data and the empty deleted data Blackberry. The same problem.

    (4) tried to wipe off the full blackberry using Cmdr of JL, reinstalling the operating system. In this scenario, I can synchronize addresses, but once I sync calendar problems from ever happening and I can't ever sync it again (including later by deselecting the option of calendar.

At that time I spent hours scouring Google for help and try the above items. This was a disaster for me because I rely on synchronization had given for work and have already from lack of things.

I do not think there is something wrong with the Blackberry, because it works very well and works perfectly well after re - charging a fee, OS, etc.

I tried to play with the balls of support, but because the software freezes before can synchronize calendar, there is nothing in the log that indicates if there is a file corrupted in the event calendar. Nothing won't change significantly in my calendar between synchronization worked and the day that he didn't.

I tried searching the Blackberry forums and have found some info, but nothing useful. RIM does not provide phone numbers and support AT & T has continually demonstrated himself as worthless during my time with them.

Are there resources left at all that I could try to move beyond this issue, don't waste any more time and be able to solve the problem?

Although no one helped me with this I could help I put the steps that I followed down here so that if someone comes on this page of our friend Google, they will be able to try the same thing:

I ran 'Fix' on the memory card in the Blackberry
Ran CCleaner on my PC to clean the registry
Reset synchronization in the Desktop Manager settings

Finally finally I'm the synchronization again.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Desktop 4.6 for lotus notes User.ID file error: "user id is invalid.

    Hello world

We have several bold9000 in service, use of Google Desktop version 4.6

In a single edit, we met "the user id is not valid" when you try to configure the desktop computer to use the ID of the user file. In this case, it was somehow resolved when you try again after a reboot of my computer - so we didn't really understand what was the problem and do not know the fix.

Now, we have installed Office to another station where he refuses all ID files, even some that are definitely checked they are those used on the other stations by other users. No matter if we try to do it with or without administrator rights, no matter if we give the password ID before you load the file ID, always get us "user id is invalid" as soon as we select it. We also tried to enter all possible ways of writing, the user name in the field "for the user" before loading the ID - no change, still error.

These IDS, we tried is certainly not disabled - at least not when it is used with Lotus Notes himself, he is perfectly happy to use for the connection of the user.

This particular error gives exactly one useless result for scribd.com on google, nothing more.

Someone at - it an idea? For the moment no BB for this user :-(

    More details tec:

    Server notes 7.0.3

XP with SP3, plus various MS Workstation updates regularly

What else would need to know?

    Thanks in advance

    Lars

    Hi again,

    I'll answer my own question:

in the section "Advanced" on the login screen, remove the checkbox 'use default notes.ini file', and then manually search the notes ini file that is in use on this computer. It should then automatically fill the username etc, then the ID should be automatically used (or he should be happy to accept that he refused before) and must be accepted.

It's strange, I certainly put the user name and the server name correctly when you enter them manually. In any case, it worked.

(Hope Google will pick up this thread so that others can find it if they ever run in there...)

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Keeper of password missing from the OS 6

I upgraded my OS from 5 to 6 (update of Sprint) and when setting everything back up, I could not find password Keeper. I know that many people do not use this app, but it has been very useful because of all the different passwords I use at different times. It is in this operating system or has it been removed? If it does not form part of the operating system, can it be added? I have a backup of my phone before the upgrade, can I at least get back this information to store elsewhere? Thank you for your contribution to this issue.

OK, I managed to confirm that apparently password Keeper is always on OS 6, so something was wrong with the OTA update.

While it is a bit of an extreme response, it's a way enough guarantees to ensure that you get password Keeper on your device.  Try to reload the operating system by following the steps located here: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-Syste...  When you reach step 3, make sure you check the box for password keeper because he will not automatically be considered.

If you rather not completely loaded the operating system, skip to step 4.  If you do this, then it should just charge on the device password Keeper and leave everything else intact.  But if you want to be thorough, feel free to continue with step 4.

Since you have already loaded the operating system on your computer, you can only proceed to the saving and loading of the operating system (or the application, if you try this way initially).

If you reload the entire OS, and then restore the backup that you made.  Once you have done this, return to this backup of November and you can do a selective restore in BlackBerry Desktop Software 6 (also called an Advanced Restore in BlackBerry Desktop Manager 5.0 and earlier).  Then, you can simply select the data for password Keeper and restore just this database.

Keep me informed as to how it works.
