BlackBerry Smartphones Double email icon

Hello

I seem to have a problem that I have 2 icons showing my Act of e-mail blackberry that I don't know how to remove the other

I tried deleting it in electronic mail set up the section of my phone but it removes the icon that works and is one that I have not yet

Can someone help me this please

I have blackberry bold 9700 with Bell

Hello!

By default, all emails are inserted in posts emails BIS icon/App are also placed in their own icons, but they are still contained in the main Messages application. This is how it works by default. It is not redundant - rather, think that Messages like the Tote place, with the BIS independent icons being a filter, traction (from message) to them only messages that relate to them... but if you act on an e-mail (read, delete, etc.) in one, the change will be reflected in the other.

You can hide or move the Messages icon/app out of the way, but beware - there are more that just the emails that arrive in Messages... it will come a day when you have a new message indicator and only by digging through Messages that you will be able to find this message.

I hope this helps explain how it all works!

Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Double Emails

I recently move my curve to OS 4.5 and I get now all my emails twice.  I use my Comcast account, but I can't understand what went wrong.  If more information is needed, please let me know.  Thank you in advance for any help offered.

    Matthew.

Well, it was no doubt this redirection rule that was causing this probem. Happy its worked out for you.

With regard to the other issue. Messages is a central point for all incoming mail. This cannot be changed. If you have several e-mail messages to the device configuration and want to check separately, hide the messages icon, and use of these files, if you have only 1 email, you can use either or and hide the other. It is supposed to delete in both directions. its not really 2 emails, this is the same email simply view 2 sites. Its kinda like a House. Visualize being able to see the TV screen in the living room of the entry door and the back door of the House. If someone walked in the front door and took it out, you wouldn't be able to see from the door from behind... and vice versa.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones lack folder icon to email on BBT 9800 - where at - it go?

The email on my BB Torch 9800 icon simply disappeared. If I type email in the search button it shows me the greyed on the email icon, but I can't get the icon on my home screen. How to bring back my email icon?

    Thank you

    S

Let's see if you have just hidden the icon accidentally.

On your home screen, click the menu button, which is the BB button to the left of the trackpad.  If Unhide All will appear, click on it and all of your hidden icons will reappear magically!

If Unhide All is not an option, report and we will try other options.

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones address email and password

My Blackberry Torch was stolen recently.  Now that I got my new camera and everything seemed to work OK.  I received emails addressed to it and who is "pushed".  I tried to download an app and had my Blackberry ID need I entered.  She would not accept my new password - so I asked to reset - but the email they were supposed to be sent to my blackberry address did not!  Does anyone have ideas, what can I do now?

Oh okay Ouch, the using the blackberry.net email account is not good. These emails cannot be found or read any where, but on the BlackBerry smartphone.

Personally, I never recommend using blackberry.net for this main reason e-mail accounts.

My best suggestion is to get a gmail or yahoo account for free and create a whole new BlackberryID.

Then, call your mobile operator Orange and ask them to bring this problem to RIM level two level tech support and get your old account merged or moved to the new BlackBerryID.

Yes, it's complicated. But it's the only way I see possible... all this because of the password reset. Yuck, indeed.

Hold the top button until the red light. Wait through the entire boot process. IF this fails, you can try the method of battery-pull above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.

  • BlackBerry smartphones compose emails

So I've always had my Gmail account set up on my phone, but for some reason, when I go to answer an email or compose a new, I get a message that says "no e-mail service not configured. You will be redirected to the Setup Assistant to configure your e-mail account. "So I click 'ok', and then he said: 'no message service not configured. You will be able to save the draft. "I clearly have my account set up because I get these emails on my phone and my e-mail address is listed under my email accounts, so I have no idea what is wrong. I even re-entered my password, but that didn't seem to do anything. I would like to know if anyone has any ideas - thanks!

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. • BlackBerry Smartphones read emails on Blackberry are not marked as read in GMail

    Hi all

I just upgraded to the 9650 the 8530 and after serious problems finally got so that I could read my emails.

The problem I have now is that on one of my gmail accounts does not seem to recognize when I read an email via my blackberry. Previously on my 8530 (and before that, the 8330), seconds after that I read an email on my blackberry, it'll show such as read on the gmail website.

Either way, I don't have this problem with my second g-mail account.

Thank you in advance for your help!

BIS has been receiving a lot of updates for GMail... even a plugin on the BB which is supposed to improve the functionality even further. Unfortunately, I chose to use GMail for my BB, so I don't have direct experience with integrated BIS GMail how would work. But, I would say that, like all things financial, past not a good indicator of what it now takes performance would give any changes that have been for GMail via BIS. ;-)

It is quite possible that we use 'old BIS' and the other is using 'new BIS' - withdrawal and return duct BIS is required to receive the new "ENCORE" features. But I worry about who's who in your case - and I fear even that I recently saw so many problems with that (and Yahoo as well). If you're brave, you can remove both of the BIS (and, indeed, all the others you have here) and then wait a while... for more simplicity, I say an hour. Then re - integrate them both and see what happens... at least, in this way, they both would be on the latest version of BIS and the functionality would be the same thing (with, of course, the risk being that neither works the way you want!).

    Hello

I have recently supported a Blackberry Curve 8520 - I noticed that, once I had connected to my PC via Blackberry Desktop Manager, the icon for the keyboard lock has been removed from the menu.  I looked in the obvious places in the Options to try to restore the icon but can't see anywhere that allow me to ths.  I was also looking for hidden objects, but nothing seems more to be hidden.

Is it possible to restore the icon?

    Thank you all.

You may update the software? The lock has changed in the latest versions of the software in all areas for the devices.
