It may be a silly question, but how in the heck I type in UPPERCASE without hitting the key every time

Unfortunately, there is no 'blocking' shift caps lock on the keyboard of the device.

You must press the SHIFT key and keep it pressed when entering - to get the uppercase text.

    With all the respect that is due to JSanders (and there is a LOT of respect), I must say that BlackBerry traffic ranks up there with the best of EM.  It works pretty much as although most other SatNav applications and it's free in AppWorld.  Certainly, he has not synchronized to any application of cards, so you get only the voice guidance and no visual guidance, but I used it several times and I am very happy with it.  I've included a link to it in AppWorld below.

    I got my "BOLD" for more than a year, suddenly a strange icon has apperared and I am at a loss to know what it is! It is as an indicator of temperature a bit, small yellow bulb at the bottom and a long red line above. There number 61 beside him, although this number seems to vary a little. Help pleeeease!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Invalid email and password on blackberry 9790

    I have been using everything ok through POP3 email on my blackberry for the last six months and then all of a sudden yesterday asked me to check the password that I tried to do it but the only message I get, is that my user name or password is invalid.  This is not the case, as I am with the same username and password on outlook and my Ipad and these work perfectly. Can anyone help?

    We had a problem with our email on Wednesday, it is now sorted and the passwords have not been changed.

    I tried the hard reset, tried to set up online service, free books works and still will not accept the good user name and the password.  It's driving me crazy!

    With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    Hi all

    Recently, I noticed that my bbm "n" shortcut did not, all the other shortcuts like memo, calculator, etc. have been working well. I cross checked the "n" key on the message, e-mail etc., which works very well. It was obvious that the key is fine, probably thinking of the device is in need of an upgrade of the OS, I upgraded to 6.0.0.706 to the download site for the India BB software. Since then he has screwed my application of messaging and bbm on the device configuration. The problem started after I configured my device after the upgrade of the OS, without doing something fancy. Now, I am unable to work my e-mail installation or bbm.

    The trickiest part, the E-mail setup application:

    When I work through installation and choose the email Setup icon, ideally it should give me two options. 1. business account and 2.  Internet e-mail account.

    After the upgrade the email set up gives me settings to choose from business accounts, where the option of Internet e-mail account? After a thorough and exhausting, research in the community, I heard people talking about relocation of the configuration of the e-mail application. Done that but still no go. So now, I can't add my e-mail address, ' coz there is no option or how to configure it.

    For bbm:

    I have a return to the top of my contacts, which I've tried to run over and over again, but it brings back me to the original configuration and asks me to enter the display name. Now restore backup should restore my profile/contacts, but it doesn't. On a positive note, my shortcut for bbm works!

    I would also like to bring to your notice that I have a bis plan on my device, active, but after upgrading my app world or native applications do not work on bis but wifi. Strange! Now the question is why would the upgrade of a simple bone cause me so many problems. I upgraded my phone several times since I bought it. This is driving me crazy and crazy, this phone has an excellent reputation and does not mean I am a bit disappointed by his performance or his now making me hurt.

    Hi everyone, I really need help with this, its driving me crazy! I have a blackberry bold 9930 sprint, 7.1 Bundle 1737 (v7.1.0.580 platform 5.10.429), free space is listed at 154523817 bytes.

    I have my email through godaddy, which is secureserver.net. This is Courier IMAP. From Friday or Saturday, my emails do not grow automatically. Sometimes it should be hours and hours before all my emails will pour out at once. Battery pull worked, but now the battery pull does nothing.

    I tried to send service books today, but now I can't even access the e-mail account management option to send service directories. When I enter the application, it says 'check updates' but never recovers. I left about 10 minutes today and will continue to say: "check updates".

    Anyone else having any questions or know what in the world happens suddenly? Any help is greatly appreciated!

    What's the accurate and complete error message? Because I can't find anything to use these 3 words of jost... Maybe it's that the configuration of email application has a problem... this KB might help:

    I just took 47 pictures in a skating event, all but one of the pictues of is released about 350 KB and only amounts to 3 MB (in the middle of the roll). No change or the options of all kinds have been adjusted. The unit is set for big (2592 x 1944). A Blackberry Bold 9780. It's driving me crazy! Help!

    Tons, thought to it, only one shot in the middle of the roll, zoom has been turned off.  View zoom digital relative caused the camera to take a tenth of available image, where a file size that is only a tenth. I would have been better to have left off the coast and at least I would have gotten all the data.

    I've been playing with my new torch 9810 and now the battery seems to be draining like crazy (up to 10% after having just three hours hanging out, not a single call done) - and some programs play AND I get a message indicating that the camera photo and video camera are in use although I'm not using the.

    Is there a virus on this thingy? -How do I know? has someone hijacked my camera to spy on me?

    I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

    If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

    But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

    am I missing something? It drives me crazy. I can very well receive files, just cat find a simple way to send files via bluetooth. Even when I goto the send option I get only send by e-mail, etc.

    If your device is non - BB, then substitute in the KB, the instructions appropriate for your device. Unless you're on BB OS 6 or 7, do not skip the step of "Receive using BlueTooth" on the receiver BB... nothing will transfer if you do. I can tell you that on my BB, if I navigate to a file (for example, image, etc, using Homescreen > media > > explores), and then when I press on the key, I have available ' Send', with 'BlueTooth' as one of the submenu selections... so I'm not sure why yours does not.     Press menu for a few second it will pop up a screen and will let you know how many applications are running in the background.     Or you can try to reinstall BBM, do that first remove all existing versions of BBM options > device > application > locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from this list. When reboot its perform another traction battery by removing the battery while your unit is powered.

    Finally, after rebooting your BlackBerry browser go to www.blackberry.com/bbm and download the latest version available for your device.

    Try it and see if that helps.
