BlackBerry Smartphones E-mail reconciliatin screen is empty 8830

Hello, I just replaced 8830 today as the old we wouldn't sync (bad connection). I'm trying to select the method in which the emails are deleted. Go to Messages - Messages Options - Email reconciliation and that the screen is empty.  I remember on my old 8830 that I might be prompted to remove on handheld only or also in the email account. Can't seem to change the option b/c the email reconciliation screen is empty.  The only choices when you press the menu button which are 'Save' "switch application" and "close". And your comments would be appreciated. Thank you.

From my experience, which happened during my service books are not configured correctly for the device.

Look at the Options > advanced > default Services and make sure you have a selected default email. If nothing else, I would do while I recommended above.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones e-mail settings will not open

I was out of my service area of AT & T for the weekend and not allowed access to a 3 G network.  When I came back, my e-mail folders does not open and the screen freezes.  Is the only way to exit the screen to reset, but the e-mail folders will still not open.  Any helpful thoughts?

    Hello!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact ATT to formal support.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones E-mails from gmail is not on Blackberry

Because I had problems with my other email account, I recently "moved" my correspondence email business to my gmail account, I had rather used as a backup before. I had both my accounts put in place on my blackberry and I remember them both increased and works well, but I cannot say with certainty that I have rarely received emails on gmail.

The problems I have now (I had also, at the same time re - configure my blackberry, but everything should be ok now) is that the gmail account is not working properly after the installation. At first, it seemed to work pretty well, but now it's extremely erratic, at best, with a few emails that crosses and their reception by the blackberry, not at all and if yes with a delay of up to a few days (!).
This makes the combination of my now main mail to gmail account and my blackberry on which I rely heavily for communication when I'm out of the House completely unusable.

I have heard and read (even if for the most part in internet posts that are a few years old) it seems to be a problem running with gmail and blackberry accounts. Is - this irreparable?

    Is there a solution?

If all else fails, use a new account (new) would be the only alternative left - which would be a messaging provider that matches 100% with the blackberry e-mail program?

    Thank you very much!

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts.

In addition, with GMail, you must be sure to have a good setting inside GMail. Via PC/browser, you control what GMail is facing the internet for your account (POP, IMAP, or both). I always recommend that you turn OFF POP and turn on IMAP in Gmail. Then set up fresh for your BB and you will have the 'best' available (IMHO) settings for GMail.

Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support. What you describe certainly shouldn't happen on a regular basis (even if we must all accept the intermittent nature of everything on the internet).

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones e-mail synchronization - problems sending/reception of the BB and Hotmail emails

Emails sent from the computer using Hotmail do not appear in the BlackBerry smartphone. However, e-mails sent using BlackBerry device appears in the device as well as in Hotmail and the same is true for all incoming mail. The only question is sent with mail from Hotmail, which items do not appear in the device. I tried options email reconciliation, but the problem persists.

For your info, I use BlackBerry Torch 9800 and my ISP is Etisalat in the United Arab Emirates.

  • BlackBerry smartphones AOL mail icon on the home screen / globe upstairs with the #2 to the left of it does mean?

    Hello

I just got my phone this week. I loved this day! I am just confused with some things...

    First of all:

I have my email to work for me and I have a gmail icon just to mail on the home screen. Is there a similar app AOL mail? or is the AOL Search icon only downloadable icon to the home screen?

    Second:

On my phone, there is a world high above with the #2 in the left of it... My sister and my brother has the exact same phone me as long as they don't have it. what it means?

    THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

    Nilda

If you use Gmail app. As much as I know there is no BB AOL application itself like Gmail app.

But you can incorporate into your AOL via BIS account (http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/software/internet.jsp) and gmail account can be integrated in the same way. This way, your e-mail will be pushed the same corporate e-mail, without having to chk mailed on the app.

Can you be a bit more descriptive on your 2nd quest?

Hello and welcome to the community!

I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, thinking... what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones UK - mail and Windows Live Messanger

    Hello

My first post here, but I got my BB a while, just never got roud to juggle with it and try to get the apps I want. First and foremost I want to mail and Windows Live Messanger for IMs, addressing Phones4U where I got my contract, they said I need to buy their email Plan to access Emails 'push' (at the moment I don't have an option for setting up my own email addresses). Just to confirm that this is true, if yes it would probably be more easy for me to buy just the increased data plan and access e-mail through hotmail.com (I don't sent them that much).

However, I use MSN a lot. I tried to download AppsStore, I tried going to www.blackberry.com/messenger, and I tried to download from my PC via my USB wire into the phone. Every time that he told me that I meet the system requirements. When I go to 'About' on my BB it says I have a BB 8900 smartphone v4.6.1.76 (Platform 4.2.0.62) and my status says I have 112 mb of available storage.

Y at - it something I am doing wrong? Should I be on a payment plan to access the app store? In addition, with MSN it charges you? I have unlimited SMS with my payment plan, but I should also use internet data extended as well?

    See you soon,.

    Alex

Well, I know not what you mean by 'web n 'walk', but if you have no data plan and browse internet strictly via WiFi, so I think that you actually fail condition 4. If I am correctly Recalling, AppWorld must flow through a data plan as well as the income of everyone in the data stream (developer, Distributor, carrier, RIM, etc) can all be properly credited for sale (Yes, I know that some are free - but it's a sale nonetheless).

  • Of blackBerry Smartphones suddenly gone black screen

I had my private for three days. The passage of the Passport is not without its obstacles, but overall, I'm pretty happy with it.

Since yesterday I ran into a problem where, without apparent reason, I am trying to unlock my phone, only to meet with a black screen. Slide the keyboard does nothing. Double tapping the screen he wakes up in the picture below.

    http://imgur.com/lpDKt8q

Slide up let me scroll notifications as seen here, but nothing more

    http://imgur.com/icNY0oU

So I hold the power button for 10 to 12 seconds, it resets itself, runs through the boot sequence, then back to the black screen. I have reset three times now. Yesterday when it happened I reset three times and the third time that he returned to normal.

I also did a hard reset by holding down the button for 35 seconds and let it restart.

After a conversation long and boring of two hours with the direct support of Blackberry, I used the online Android Device Manager to wipe my device. It took awhile for it to start, but when he did, I saw an Android logo that says 'clear '. It's over, I saw the clock for a brief moment, and then the screen went black.

This double tapping of time has nothing, but also hit the power button or slide the keyboard.
Connect my device to the charger briefly flashed the clock, but did not show the percentage load indicator as it had before the erase/reset.

I held the power button for 12 seconds, rebooted and loaded as usual with forms and the Android logo. Then return to the flash of the clock and the black screen.

Support this is the first they have heard of this issue. They are climbing it to a higher level of support and wait 24 to 48 hours for a response. From there, it will be either more shooting situation, or a return and replacement of disorder. That will be especially annoying for me because I live in Australia and it will mean returning to the United States and then to await their return to send it to me.

Does anyone know how to factory reset the Priv via the data cable or by pressing a key sequence?

I wonder if anyone has had this problem or can offer a solution. I hope that this thread will serve as useful to others.

    A few other notes;
-problem started at random, no not after installing any new apps
    -phone has not been dropped

    I found the solution!

After a suggestion on another forum that the problem may be caused by a magent (phone case, built car megnetic, phone support, ect) I removed the Steelie magnetic car holder I had attached to my phone at the front desk, and now the phone works perfectly again. For the moment

So to the other posters, maybe your question was caused by a megnet so. Something to keep in mind.

  • My storm blackBerry smartphones comes on the screen upward, but does not show a picture!

    What can I do?

    Hi Mxgaudelli,

Welcome to the BB Community Forum...

There seems to be a hardware problem... have u tried a reboot of your BB battery pull, if you have not then try it once... If the problem persists, I recommend you to visit a centre of Service of BB and they have a quick glance at your question...

  • Synchronization of blackBerry Smartphones will reset home screen image

Using BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.3.0.17, BlackBerry Curve on Verizon.

If I put a picture of the home screen (wallpaper), when I synchronize with Desktop Manager, the homescreen image gets always reset the default image for the theme. No matter what topic it is - BB integrated by default or Verizon one that accompanies it - the image is always set to zero by default.

    Here's the little interesting:

    1. I put the image of the home screen to something specific to the topic.
    2. I do a sync and see the image of the home screen to reset.
    3. I go to the B theme and define the image of the homescreen to something specific.
    4. I do a sync and see the image of the home screen to reset.
    5. I return to A theme without changing anything, and the image of the specific home screen, I initially put in step 1 is back in place.

How can I stop my wallpaper to reset everytime I sync? Is there a setting I'm missing?

No sooner I haven't posted that I came with an experience that gave the answer:

Make sure you have your home screen of pictures stored on the device's memory, not on a media card If it's on the memory of the device, it will not be reset; If it's on a memory card, it resets.
