BlackBerry Smartphones how Access Storage Device

Hi guys, I can't find how to access my bb 9900's "BOLD" of storage internal, if I'm not mistaken, he has a memory of 8 GB internal, is - this exact?

Hey Nail22,

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

Thanks for the question.

You use a PC or a Mac to access the storage internal?  Also for applications, it is limited to 2 GB, which also includes operating system.

Also turn on mass storage mode access to the internal memory, follow the steps described in this article: www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB13564

Let me know if you have any other questions.

See you soon.

    Hello

I installed the software to version 4.5 and therefore lost all of my pictures and addresses.  I see that a backup file was created (named LoaderBackup-(2010-08-08) .ipd) which is now on my computer.  Is it possible for me to access this file to restore photos and addresses, etc.?  I'm ready to go back to the previous version of the software for it.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Hello! You should be able to do this, Office Manager by selecting backup/restore > restore > select the file you want to use > press ok.

In my experiences, newer versions are for the most part, the compatably with data from older versions and therefore should always work.

  • Problem of having to re - blackBerry Smartphones format memory to use Blackberry 8330 as mass storage device

So I created it for my BB Curve 8330 (Verizon Wireless service) last night.

    • I formatted the 2 GB micro SD card
    • I changed the drive letter to avoid a conflict
    • I have all the latest updates I know from this announcement. (4.5.0.77 on the phone itself)
    • List of media cards: support 'on', 'none', Mode of mass storage card encryption mode 'on', scoped the mass storage mode when connected to 'yes '.

Everything was fine. Even had a few tunes out there to jam to.

Not even 24 hours later, I wanted to add more music and photos to personalize the BB more far. So I plug it into the PC but my computer Vista OS won't let me access the memory card. The BB has popped up on the list of drives, but if I click it, it says I need to insert a memory card into the mass storage device.

I go to the BB Desktop Manager and go to the media. I have almost the same question.

Even with a pop of the battery, check the memory card using a card reader (card is good) and the reintegration of the memory card, the problem persisted. I had to re - format the memory card on the BB again (to wipe everything), and then when I plugged in the USB cord, I could access the card again in the mass storage device.

Reformatting was not a big deal since it's not like anything on the card has not been already saved elsewhere. However, I really don't want to have to do that on a regular basis. I understand the technology hiccups every now and then, but if I have to do every time, it's going to be a pain in the rear.

So all that being said, is there something that I forgot that I need to check or trouble so I don't have to constantly re - format my memory card and re-load all on it? I have tried to do everything that I could think of and I tried searching these forums very, but I had no luck (or did not use the appropriate search string) in the generation of responses.

A card microSDHC fixed the problem. The old card memory, I got in it was a regular 2GB microSD card. I bought a 4 GB microSDHC card and the problems no longer exist.

I wanted to get a card greater new anyway, so I'm glad that all worked where I didn't have to do anything unwanted. The old card memory is great; It would be not just works perfectly in my Blackberry. I'll give it to the lovely lady of the House, who can update the 1 GB card in her phone.

  • Problem of password blackBerry Smartphones Verizon 8830 mass/device storage

I'm having a problem with my Verizon BB 8830 v4.5.0.33 of the device running software. The problem is that when the BB is connected to a workstation via USB and asks the device password turn on mass storage mode, he initially accepts password correctly and I am able to see the content of the support for 8 GB card that I inserted on the device via Windows Explorer. But then, when you start to navigate the files using Windowes Explorer, the second you try to manipulate the files (copy to media card), the device acts as if it is disconnected and he asks the device password again. I can re - enter the password and the device will go through the movements being detected by Windows and finally presents itself as a mass via the Explorer storage device but as soon as I try to manipulate the files again, it disconnects and asks for a password again and again.

    Any help/suggestions would be appreciated!

Well, then I answered my own question. The firmware update did the trick. It must have been a great dans.33 that caused this because it happens is no longer on 4.5.0.101.

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot-~ 5 minutes...
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

N ° of BB devices lack a complete email client on them. Instead, they depend on the BIS service to provide messaging functionality. BIS is active when you have also listed Internet/personal email where you currently see only Enterprise. All services of BIS, are sent to the device via data carrier network... contact them are therefore the right approach to discover why their network is no longer to deliver to you the services that you pay for.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones built in storage media errors, not now restart...

During the last two weeks, I received several cases where I received

the following error message: "built in storage not accessible due to a detected errors. You want to repair? »

I said yes and he fixed the problem.  Yesterday, I sent a BBM message and the phone reset... on suddenly it reboot only gets 3/4 of the way through the startup process (stops under the 1 'r' in the Blackberry logo).

I tried a multitude of things I've seen on many forums, including let it stand all night with the battery, try to start in safe mode (which I never could get it to do).  This morning, it does the same thing.  I found a post that suggested to reformat the internal memory, which I should have done when I had questions.

Is it possible to get this reformatted internal memory if the phone does not start?  Any suggestions would be helpful.  I will ask a new phone of my business, but know that I won't get it until tomorrow... so I'm willing to try anything to make it work again (today).

    (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life. Congratulations! Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. • BlackBerry smartphone how to find BlackBerry backup voice note files?

I don't know where my BlackBerry backup files are?  If I find I can look to see if a series of voicenotes I did in October/November is there & can I restore these?

    Hello

Voice memos are not elements of database and therefore are not part of the backup procedure... see this:

    • KB03974 List of database for the blackBerry smartphone

These databases are what manages the backup process. With some versions of the Desktop software, you could include the content of the memory of the device... so if your voice memos were stored there, then they should thus be included in the backup file... and you had a selective memory of the device only restore to restore (keeping in mind that it will restore ALL the memory of the device not only the voice Notes).

You can use a drive IPD/BBB, part 3 on your PC... I heard good things about MagicBerry... to analyze your backup file to see exactly what it contains.

If the files in question are not contained in the IPD/BBB file and were not copied separately (for example, via the mass storage Mode) to the PC, then if they are also cleared from the BB, then files are unfortunately gone for good.

Overall, my own personal for my weekly Desktop software backup process is to make the backup with the desktop software, but then more, via the mass storage Mode, copy all the contents of my device memory and Media Card on my PC as well... just in case... you never know what might happen. Oh... and I included a manual backup of my BBM contacts to my media card as well.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to install the new language? == > french

By mistake I delete all my blackBerry Bold 9900 formulations.

    Rest than English.

I would add yet another language ==> french example...

In desktop software, I don't have in Applications: "Language and support of entry" to choose...

Hello and welcome to the community!

The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.
    • Use this KB to help you choose the good alternative OS to include the language you want:
      • Article ID: KB05305 Location of support for BlackBerry smartphones

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue. During the process, when it presents you with the screen of the things Application Loader to install on your device, make sure to develop options and select all items that relate to your desired language.

Once the operating system is loaded, you can proceed with the activation of the language you want and restoring your backup (on the device).

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

If you have already read and deleted then you perform a traction battery restart after that, most often those are sort of kind of notification of update of the entire application you have installed on your device. You can open BlackBerry App World. Go to My World and check if updates are available for all apps.
