BlackBerry smartphones IS INSTALLING IN BB PROTECT PASSWORD RESET RESET THE DEVICE PASSWORD

1st post ever.

BB TORCH 9800 IS RUNNING ON T-MOBILE UK NETWORK PIN PROTECTED

I started with the BB BOLD in 2009 and moved to BB TORCH 2011 when I had an option of upgrading, so I'm pretty familiar with BB.

My device is protected by BB and there's the option of password reset on the leg for the identification of BB. What I'm not clear all is if this resets the password to access BB Protect or it can reset the password for the device. I'm on my attempt at entry 9 password, and here's how I got here.

Summer using the phone as normal through today. I have the protect of spindle of 10 minutes, i.e. whenever the phone is idle, he hangs himself. PIN protection also need to install the software etc, so I must have unlocked the phone at least 12 times or more today.

As usual, I've unlocked the phone 2 hours ago to send and receive BBM PINES of a couple of friends who have stopped. The only thing that struck me is that one of them used a BB Pearl and the BBM PIN is all non-alphanumeric numbers. After they were gone, thought I'd check on my emails and tried to unlock the phone as usual, and he kept on the return "Incorrect password." I couldn't believe it that's a pin Digital and thought it was a mistake and continued.

By my 7th attempt, put the sim in a spare handset and called my operator T-Mobile, they said there was nothing they could do, I had to enter in contact with the RIM. Put the sim card in my BB Torch and gave him another chance (at that time it asks you to type in "blackberry" and your password in clear text)

Fortunately, I had BB protect enabled, I signed the and saved my camera.

Under the my device tab, you can change the password for the device. T o do you need to enter the existing password (known), enter a new password and then click on the locking device. Done everything that he went and came back to say this device has failed.

Tried to unlock the unit 9th attempt.

What are my options?

The BlackBerryID reset password affects ONLY the password of the BlackBerryID... NO password security of the device itself. Two completely different things.

It's weird, but not impossible. I've seen a lot of BlackBerry wants a digital-only PIN. Not much.

It has nothing to do with you the problem.

I guess it's that you have entered your only security digital password wrong... only not by pressing the ALT key to make the number.

Often users with more than one digit in their password will only press the ALT key to the first digit and not those who follow, so for example, if your password "1234", you could put pressure on 'Alt 1234 "on the device, making the real password to be"1st".

Who is? It sounds familiar to your use?

In order to verify the manner in which you enter your password on the device... do you think that you enter several numbers, but in fact are not?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how can I access media files stored on the device memory?

I transferred photos/music from my computer on the device in the device memory files. However when I go to my media files, it only shows items that are stored on the media map.

Where can I access the files that are stored on the device memory? When I connect to the BB Desktop software I can view, but not the device itself, it seems.

In addition, where can I find the files that I have inadvertently 'hidden' in the photo options?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Help, please!

Try to reset the BB by pulling on the battery or restore factory settings
First try a battery pull (remove the battery with power and wait about 30 seconds and then replace the battery in the camera) and then try to install it from App World. If that fixed it, try to go through some steps below.

My CURVE 8330 B Berry model a JAVA programming but I had recently another program to tell me that Java is NOT enabled, where and how can I go into the phone to put the program in Java?                                                         Please help; Sincerely, Charles PS had my curve only about a week or so now todays date Sunday Jan.25, 2009!

There is no 'turning java' on the BlackBerry.

    • the BlackBerry smartphone uses a Java-based operating system.
    • the BlackBerry smartphone can use applications developed in Java (or J2ME like any mobile phone or special files for devices BlackBerry ALX)
    • the phone smart BlackBerry with a browser that can do JavaScript and not Java applets.

Question is: why do you think that you need Java?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones no response when you try to click on the links on web pages

    Hey y ' All

This is a problem that came only in the last day or two...

Had my Blackberry 9000 for a few weeks and have been able to use internet with it with no problems. However in the last two days, I find that I can no longer click on all links using the trackball. There is no response either whenever I tried to click on the links. This is valid for all websites on all three of my browsers on the device. Text based links, I can just use the command 'Get Link' or press 'enter', but these options are not available for links based on java as the buttons of opening session on Yahoo and some other sites, therefore, I can not in them.

In addition to the above issues, the trackball seems to work very well. I am able to click on bookmarks, that seems to work... and all the other functions of the trackball (AFAIK) seems to work very well. It's just when I'm on websites that I can't click on the links either.

    I hope this makes sense

    Thank you

  • BlackBerry Smartphones re - install the software

Could someone tell me if it is possible to re - install the software on my curve 9300, and how, Bravo

OK, in this case, follow these steps:

Go to http://bbsak.org and download the program called BBSAK you're your computer and install it. Then plug in your BlackBerry and open BBSAK. Enter your password when prompted (if you do not have a password on your BlackBerry, simply press OK). When the program opens, you should see your device PIN in BBSAK. Press the button of the device wipe. He will wipe away the OS of your phone. You can then reinstall the operating system.

Be aware, this will delete all the info on your device, in order to ensure that you have backed up your phone first (if you could).

In addition, if BBSAK is unable to connect to your phone, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete on your computer, open the Task Manager, click the processes tab and stops the process of BBDevMgr. It should work now.

    I hope this info helps!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones re - install promotional applications

    Hello

During the birthday Blackberry app give away, I installed studio pro Photo and do not receive the license in case I need to reinstall it. I recently had to reset my blackberry and I wonder photo studio license key. I reinstalled it because it shows as an application previously installed in my world, however, I had to do this. • Application blackBerry Smartphones to install apps on SD card?

Someone told me once there is an app available for download/purchase/use that would allow me to install my apps on my SD card instead of the memory on US Cellular Tour 9630 running OS5.

Maybe I do not use the right search terms, or something, or maybe there is not? If this is the case I would be very grateful for the help he is. I like to keep my phone running fast so I don't want to overload with programs and end up having only a few bites left of this left 256 memory. I am sure that just as a PC, the less memory you slow it runs.

    Hello

Nope... not quite. To actually run, applications must be installed in the protected area of AppMemory. All that exists are tips on how to remove/reinstall applications on demand, by placing some sort of swap file on the SD card. But, when you want the app, the device has no choice but to install it at AppMemory... sometimes requiring a reboot to do.

AppWorld itself has a feature called Archive for the apps that you have obtained via AppWorld that does this. There is another app called Aziere Card Loader (I might have messed up the spelling) who claims to do as well.

Personally, I found that it is most annoying that they are worth. But that's just me.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones has asked to verify my password

    Hello

I received an email from BB (RIM) yesterday claiming that e-mail messages are no longer awarded to my camera and asking me to confirm my password (on my device or on the website of BB).  I have no idea what the password and have tried my two usual passwrods, netiher who works.  No idea how I can get around this?

    Thank you very much

    (1) the Blackberry Internet Service - unfortunately, I can't connect to it that I don't remember the password.  When I click on the forgot password link, it says it will send my password on my BB device, but again, I have not received this message.

Normally, it's quite intentional. For security reasons, password reset emails are not delivered to the BB. Instead, you must be able to access this account of e-mail (the one registered to BIS) from somewhere else. But, if the email account is a "hosted" email (e.g., @bb, @carrier, etc.), then email accounts are only accessible via the BB... catch 22! What you have to do is to contact your carrier to reset your BIS credentials... your carrier manages your BIS account for you and should be able to reset the account for you, or set up a redirect so that the reset password email is an account, you can access other than the BB.

Come to think of it, it is perhaps the real source of the problem. BIS is authenticated unto itself because it stores your email credentials. When you launched the BIS 'forgot password', which may well have cancelled password BIS prior, making it invalid even from the interface for device now. Thus, it can leave get you (on the device) as many as strikes the powers of e-mail, but then it fails when he tries to move towards the BIS server, because the credentials that are stored for the BIS on the device is no longer matches what the server has for BIS (since you launched the BIS 'forgot password').

Overall, I think you should ring up your carrier now... only they can look 'behind the scenes' their BIS system and your BIS account. If my suspicions about the prior BIS credentials being now invalid (because of the ' forgotten password'), then you need even more to address this issue directly in their system.

    Good luck!

  • Update blackBerry Smartphones Cant install

    Hello

Im trying to install a soft update on my BB 9360 apollo 7.0 Bundle 1680 (v7.0.0.353) for T-mobile, OS 7.1.0.861

I removed the vendor file and I do all the steps in the doghouse but it does not even 1 second to install then it shows this

    And then nothing happens.

    Any idea?

    OK... so try this please...

    (1) uninstall, since your PC, any software of BB (BB OS packages, desktop software, etc.)

    (2) download and install a new copy of the BB Desktop software on your PC,

    (3) download and install to your PC, a new copy of the BB OS package you want:

    4) remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

    (5) run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should immediately offer you the operating system package you have installed on your PC. If, during the process, your BB votre BB a '507' error, simply unplug the power cord of the BB USB and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

    • If the immediate bid is not the case, the operating system package you have downloaded and installed on your PC has been ignored... usually to one of these 4 reasons mentioned above. You shouldn't have to do anything other than launch Desktop software and connect your BB... he should go there and make the offer.

    Jc18able wrote:

3 - I just did a search with the word 'Seller' and nothing came out

Never count on that... these files are not in normal, and good user areas often, Windows searches reveal their. But, what you mentioned earlier, you probably them, so the problem is probably something else.

    Jc18able wrote:

4 - This is the first time, I download and try to install a sweet BB OS.

However... Please do the above (remove everything and start again)... something is not correctly recognized between your PC and BB OS package. It is perhaps this specific package is not good... Hence the reason why I have given you official to use download portal.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Feature Request: Dialog boxes to password visible to the Windows API

One of my frustrations with the help of BlackBerry Desktop Manager is asked for my password again and again many times - first to unlock BlackBerry, then to enter mass storage Mode, then to check the updates of the application, and then to load the software for the device, then to synchronize, etc.

A partial solution for me was to use a utility script (AutoHotKey) on the desktop to automatically answer BBDM password dialog boxes.  But now BBDM version 5.0, these dialog boxes have become java nested forms that are not visible on the Windows API.

So, if someone of the RIM is listening, please return the actual password dialog boxes Windows forms.  Ideally, different security BB applications would communicate with them so I have to enter my password once, but until that happens, please don't make it more difficult it must be.

    Thank you for your consideration.

Hello and welcome to the Forums!

With regard to your hope that RIM will see your message - these forums are a chain of support to users, not a conduct of user-to-RIM. Therefore, it is unlikely they will see what you wrote. However, if you have specific and constructive ideas for them, I heard they accept this by e-mail to [email protected].

  • BlackBerry smartphone app error 603 and BBDS does not recognize my device

Here's the situation: the battery ran out on my unit earlier this week. When I started to charge, the unit will start automatically restart. Before restarting, the messages "error app 603' and 'reset' appeared. If I click "reset", the whole process starts again.

The previous messages in the forum I read about 'error app 603' suggested I should restore the device settings or reinstall the operating system. I tried to connect my device to my laptop via USB cable, however the computer will only recognize the connected device with a chime at the beginning of the discount to zero, followed quickly by a chime of disconnection being rebooted. The computer or software Deskstop BlackBerry recognizes the device while it is stuck on the '603 error message' app.

    What else can I try?

Hello and welcome to the community!

Here's a knockout who deals with this error:

For the charging of the OS, you can better use this method... on a PC (you can't do this on MAC):

    (1) make sure you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find complete instructions via the link in my sig auto below. Sorry, already a moot point counts with the error.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC.

    (6) work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

If, during the process of step 6, your BB presents "507" error, simply unplug the power cord of the BB USB and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You may also use these tips:

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:
