  Using a PC browser, go to www.bbid.com and see if you can reset your password.

  When you set up your BBID it would be you sent an email asking you to verify your BBID by clicking on a link in this email. If you checked you can reset your password to www.bbid.com without a security answer.

  If you do not check the BBID then you need TO answer your security question. If you can't answer, then, if you still have the original e-mail, you can use it to remove the BBID and re-create it. You will lose all data associated with it like BBM contacts, however.

  If you do not have the original email, you will need to create a new BBID with a new email address.

  The release of Windows 10 has introduced several new security features that are of particular interest to those of us who work on secure networks. In particular, System guard and custody of credential (single user Mode). Together, these features provide what Microsoft calls based on virtualization security. It is a problem for VMware Workstation as it refuses to run when the Hyper-V is turned on. Only VMware has plans to support coexistence with Hyper-V in some contexts? Especially wrt. support for systems where the device and/or custody of the credentials are activated? Is there no work around not official/not supported to use VMware Workstation without having to remove these features?

  If Hyper-V virtualizes the features of virtualization assisted by the underlying processor hardware, it will be possible to run VMware Workstation VMs nested under Hyper-V, but the performance will probably not very good.

  From what you describe, there is a COMPUTER on your BB policy which is demanding both encryption and a password for the device-lock. If you are currently on the BES, then STOP NOW and see your BES admins they control it.

  If you are not on BES, somehow your BB has a COMPUTING policy... the cause maybe it was once associated with BES, but not properly deleted when the property was transferred to you. If all goes well, there will be other problems that often comes with "2nd hand" situations. In any case, you can check this:

  Even if does not appear as described, from what you have described, there is probably a COMPUTER policy that is causing this (some may be "hidden"). To remove it, first make sure you have a good backup of your BB... See the link in my sig auto on this post for instructions. Then do this:

  Thereafter, your BB will be as new... you need to re - install your applications and restore your data (according to the backup you took my instructions above). BUT - when you restore data, DO NOT make a full restore... rather, only restore these databases you need (e.g., Contacts, calendar, Messages, etc.) and more precisely to avoid those who have nothing to do with the COMPUTER policy, company or similar things... If you restore, you will be right where you started.

  (1) your BB is associated with BES, and your BES admin requires a device lock password.

  (2) you have the Protection of the content or active encryption, which requires a password to enforce.

  (3) your BB was formerly associated with BES, and has a latent policy on board, which is the application of the requirement of password (even if are more associated with BES, there are specific processes that must be performed to remove the device IT strategy).
