  Some phones do not have issues, but a replacement should solve the problem.  Since you just got the phone, you should have absolutely no problem walking in and then walk out with a new phone.  I wouldn't base your Verizon experience with this, but rather how they handle this problem for you.

  There is a setting for the led cover located in the Options > keyboard/screen. If it is set on IT then the light should blink as long as you have a wireless network coverage. If you lose coverage then it stops flashing.

  I have disabled the root hubs, figured out that we caused now my mouse and other USB physical led to no longer working and that was allowed again.

  The one who gave the error message is now disabled and if the error message is no longer present.

  Result: (built in) cyberlink youcam and biometric no longer work. But at least the annoying message disappeared, so I guess I can live with that.

  I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

  (1) registry HRT

  • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

  (2) remove and return Service directories

  • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
  • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

  (3) restart to take batt

  • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  Hi, every so often, I hear a notification tone on my phone and the red light blinks, I check my sms, mms, email and there is no new messages. The only way I can get the light constantly flashing is a battery pull.   Thank you very much for your quick response. I am very please to inform you that my bb is back to normal after I reinstalled my os, it happened again after I plugged it off the usb cable as I told u, but I did a battery pull after that and it works like a charm. It has been almost 24 hours, and he's not dead. I do not have an idea of what was the main reason the problem occurs in the first place. In fact, I wanted to wait after just 24 hours to post what I want to make sure that everything went smoothly. However, it's nearly 24 hours and so far my bb doesn't show any problems you guys responded quickly to my research and I thought I write this immediately. Thanks a lot for the research on this issue.   Can you please help me. My BB 9860 heats up when using data services. I can't use it on net because it can become hot as high as 40 degrees Celsius. I checked by a technician and the problem was not resolved. I did the following, but it doesn't work:

  1. buy and change the battery

  2 reformat the unit.

  3. limit the number of requests to reduce the use of RAM

  These efforts did nothing to stop the heating.
