Hello

Yes you can save bookmarks in the links. I use links to search engines, and I prefer to save web sites under Blackberry bookmarks. I think it's a personal preference.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones do a security wipe and now cannot set up my email!

    Hello

I did a security wipe on my Blackberry Bold 9900. I managed to restore everything, however I can't seem to configure my email address (which is a Yahoo address). I get the error message that it has not been possible to connect to the server.

I also raise a problem with my BBM, I am able to send messages, but can't send any to me. This problem also comes after clearing security.

Everything worked fine prior to clearing security.

Hello and welcome to the community!

After an update, I still propose that the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you must seek formal support from your mobile service provider.

When you get a chance, do a battery pull.  When the red light goes on the front of the phone, hold down the back button all the time while the phone is in boot.  When initialization is complete, the phone goes into safe mode.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Boost Mobile 9310 BBM works not

    Hello

I recently bought two 9310's to Boostmobile.com. I activated phones and have the phone service and SMS. Pins and MMS do not work.

After completing the race of customer service Boost Mobile (called six times to unable to people who do not have the slightest idea how to diagnose my problem), I spoke finally someone who discovered that the PIN is recorded as a Sprint not a PIN brooch Boostmobile. For this reason, Boost system will not my access phone to BBM.

According to two different techniques, support people, a Boost pin has letters in line and my two new phones to Boostmobile.com have not all letters in the axis. This is what tech to rush to stop support because they thought I tried to record a Sprint Blackberry.

For the last week, I was not able to get the boost to activate BBM because of this problem. Given that I bought two new phones and they have this problem, I do not think that send them back to get more than two phones will probably solve my problem.

Does anyone know how to get Boost to activate my BBM service? Apparently their system won't let not my phones access BBM because the system thinks that they are the Sprint phones, but Boost has told me they do not know how to solve this problem.

I can't begin to tell you how frustrated I am with Boost on the many hours of time I spent on the phone still does not get a resolution.

I spoke with the support of Blackberry, and they told me that they cannot help me because it is a problem of Boost. But has no RIM to Boost power supply with the phone that has the pin of Sprint?

    Frustrated. Help, please.

A few days ago, Boost Mobile Tech Support called me to let me know that the solution to the problem is that I need new phones. The phones that I have conducted with a PIN Spint. A big boost Blackberry has a PIN that has letters in the spindle. Since my Blackberry has not all the letters in the axis, it was done properly and I need to return two phones to Brightpoint order new phones.

I don't have confidence in the present, because I assumed that my chances were good enough get two more of the same since I was initially two phones with the same question. But after 10 calls to boost, hours on the phone with people clueless and not getting anywhere, I saw no other choice.

Last night, I received a call from Boost Mobile Tech Support to solve this problem. I told the person who told me that the phones were made with a Sprint pin and I needed to get new phones again. He was surprised to hear that, and then he told me that this was not correct. He asked if I was OK with him pass my plan to a different plan then return it restores on my orignial plan. It was supposed to pass by the activation of BBM twice to get BBM activated their system.

    It worked!

Here are a few things I learned on the Boost Mobile Tech Support:

    (1) the people you talk to are not technical. In fact, they were pretty clueless and do their best to avoid disturbing the staff limited to engineers. At best, they are a conduit for the engineers.

    (2) If you can not get a resolution after hours on the phone, insisting that a 'ticket' is written on your problem and note the number of the ticket.

    (3) make sure that you get the ticket number. If you do not, there is a strong possibility that they said they wrote a ticket but do not have. For some reason, they really don't want to write a ticket. I had to insist to talk to the principal contractor to get a ticket started. This was my 6th time that I called for support and it had not yet started recording.

    (4) make sure that what they have written information about the problem on the ticket. The supervisor wrote the ticket because my phone has no cell service. When I called the next day to learn more, I got the person read the ticket for me and I found that my BBM problem has not been registered.

    (5) make sure that the information contained in the ticket are to the point. Engineers use this information to give a technical support more ideas on how to solve the problem. Then support will call you to try the idea of the engineer. Remember, technical support is an intermediary to the engineer. If technical support writes a wrong description on the ticket, the engineer will not be able to give good advice.

    (6) If no ticket is written when you get off the phone and the problem is not resolved, then you will have lost all of your time on the phone. Next time you call, you'll be all over again. It took me five calls until I discovered this.

    (7) the false information to support tech clueless that they believe are true, but not sure if it's true or not. You call then return another day, while the next person to whom you are speaking is in disagreement with what the previous person. You call then return another day, and you get yet another contradiction. I couldn't on how this happened.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones blocking mobile messages from some mobile phones.

Can someone tell me how to block mobile messages to some mobile source?

    Kind regards

    White Charlie

    [removed personal information]

Hi and welcome to the forums!

You can block in one of the following two ways:

    (1) you call block certain types of traffic of text. Go to OPTIONS/SECURITY/firewall.

You can select the type of message to block traffic. However, this can block messages entrants all for this

category. Example if you block the traffic, SMS, SMS messages of all will be blocked

    (2) you can call the carrier and the number blocked as spam. Depending on the amount of messages.

You may be able to obtain from the carrier to remove the texts of your Bill.

2 (a) If you use AT & T as a carrier, you can block and the control messages from the link below. I do not know

If other carriers offer this service.

  • Problem blackBerry Smartphones T Mobile browser

Hello everyone, I just activated a monthly plan with T-mobile for my torch 9810, I can't access a Web page except the home page. I'm a timed message.

I can access all the sites using the browser opera without any problem, that would be me mind not normally, but I don't see a way to make the browser opera, the default browser. has anyone else had this problem and managed to fix

I was on T Mobile mount and they forced me to change certain settings without success, at the end of the call the tech guy told me that I have to live with it.

    all thoughts

    Thanks in advance

    mast

You'll just have to live with it?  And they pay these people to solve your problems?

Let me assure you here and now, you don't have to live with it.  The tech answer is unacceptable, and I hope you get a chance to say that T-Mobile.

Okay, enough ranting.  As a general rule, if the Opera browser works and your BlackBerry browser does not work, this means that you have a package of generic data for your BlackBerry as opposed to an appropriate data BlackBerry (BIS) plan.  The tech did you know you have a BlackBerry phone?  I recall and make sure that this is the case.  Once you have recalled and confirmed, you'll want to register for the phone on the network.  Do so by following these guidelines:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/KB00510

Next step, return of service on your phone directories:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/KB15402

Finally, remove the battery while your phone is on, and then replace it.

If these steps, excellent work.  If this is not the case, call the T-Mobile and explain that these steps were not working and like you a have the problem solved by them, or (b) do you have your problem of lift on BOARD for resolution without cost to you (that is your right if they cannot solve it.  It's actually in their contract with RIM).  In no case you "have to live with it."  I've never heard something so ridiculous!

Keep us updated on your progress.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones to find the backup files to restore to the replacement unit

I have problems to find where the Blackberry Desktop Manager is to store my backup files.  A search on my computer for .ipd files shows nothing.  I did a backup of my original device and wants to restore the contacts, calendar, and photos.

Edit: After another attempt at original device backup and restoring the device the Desktop Manager has the restore button grey replacement.  In addition, the device PIN reads "zero" with unit replacement set.

Thanks, the third try was the charm.  The Documents folder was there and the PIN has been finally recognized and restore is complete.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones files restore my backup

I recently sent my 9500 away for repair and as advised saved pictures, contacts, etc. using the Desktop Manager.  I come back today the BB but cannot return data to the phone.  It is stored as a file IPD, which I can't open, and I'm at a loss on how to proceed.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones on (mobile) phone calls that my audio cannot be heard by the caller

Just got a Blackberry "BOLD" replacement as a result of the original stops working (experienced a black screen).

I can receive and send mobile phone, but my audio (speakers) may not be heard by the appellant or the person at the other end.  It's extremely frustrating.  My kids tried to call me and wish me a happy father's day, but they can't hear me.

    Can someone help me?

If you look very closely at the top of the unit, which means that you are looking down on it from above, there is an icon of microphone with a line through it.  It's the button mute, and there is a good chance that you have postponed pressed her.  Press again to turn the sound back on and have your call of children that you back up before the father's day is officially over.

Let us know if it helps to make a great father's day.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Google Mobile App will not complete the installation.

I don't have a data plan, so I can't get the App Store.  This is the case, I went to Google to download Mobile from Google directly (via WiFi).  I was able to do, but when I went to run the application, he said he needed to complete the installation, and after that for a while, he said that it was impossible to complete the installation.  I was always connected to WiFi, as this was happening.  I don't think that it has nothing to do with not having a data plan, as I was able to install the Opera Mini browser (which I deleted it since) without a data plan, but perhaps I'm missing something.
