BlackBerry Smartphones open / view .tif fax to 8320

I want to open / view the faxes that are sent to me as .tif files.  My BB message is .

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I spoke with AT & T Unified Messaging Center .tif fax files.  They have referenced Solution Center technical Blackberry for indicate me that Blackberry does not yet support the opening of the .tif as they (AT & T) send out.   Apparently, it was only in April that BB has begun to support their files audio .wav.

I'm not no tech, so I guess if they are correct in the present, I simply have to wait for enough support changes have been made to open Fax.

If AT & T info is not correct, please let me know if there is no workaround for this.

Very sincere thanks for all the help!

I believe that this has already been covered, but I can't find the answer.  I have a curve 9300 OS6.  For some reason any I can no longer open attachments to emails.  The files seem to be renamed winmail.dat and the messege is "the type of attachment can be seen on the device", no matter what type of file it was originally (.mp3, .jpg, etc.).  It seems that this has just started happening in the last day or two.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Try a traction battery (hard reset) as a first step. If this does not eliminate the problem follow the steps listed in the KB 10473

  • BlackBerry Smartphones opening media files

Using the BlackBerry Media Manager I transferred a number of audio files for my BlackBerry Curve. However, I don't seem to be able to play them. I did the following: during the transfer, I chose the conversion proposed for optimal playback. When I view the files on my BlackBerry (adding them as an attachment to an e-mail), I see that they are found on my press card and have the .m4a format, similar to other files that I can play. Mass storage mode (never used yet) my pocket computer is not connected to my computer. Also, I had a number of songs (albums) on my handheld I used to be able to access but cannot anymore, even if I see that they are still on my press card. Any suggestions?

After the download of several multimedia files on your Blackberry, sometimes you have to do a reset. It is done to remove the battery while the blackberry is in place, wait a bit, then plug it back. Your Blackberry will start up (can take up to a few minutes), then see if your files are better.

  • Backup blackBerry Smartphones opening files

I can not open the backup ipd files.

    Hello

Backup files keep data for the desktop software to restore on your phone if necessary. Cannot open files that they can only be read by other software (for example, the Desktop software).

You can try a third-party program such as ABC Amber BlackBerry Converter for the assistance this program can apparently read the data stored in the backup .ipd files.

How do I make and save attachments jpg on my blackberry curve. I can see the picture in my email on my blackberry. What?

    Hello!

The message "file system full" is the root of your problem. The reason why you do not find it on your BB is because it could not be put into memory. You need to see that you can remove to make room for this new image that you have completed. Check your statistics memory device (Options > memory) and see what you have. If you have a media card, start saving things instead of the memory of the device. If you already have an and it is full, then, well, you have filled everything simply your device... it's not much to do except to start deleting things to make room for new things.

Good luck and let us know!

BES = Blackberry Enterprise Solution - a server, hosted within a firm, that provides a conduit between the company (for example, Exchange, Notes) messaging system and the BB belonging to the company.

  • BlackBerry smartphones some emails not on my 8320

I have a Curve 8320 and my emails are automatically checked and synchronized with my POP on my PC account. I'm with Orange here in the United Kingdom.

My problem is that SOME (not all) emails do not come through my phone. They arrive in my Inbox with success but not on my 8320. It is difficult for me to say exactly which emails and do not appear on my phone so I'm a bit puzzled.

I hope someone can help me get these stray emails come through on the phone. I read in another thread that it might be useful to refresh registration books and services, but when I tried the process I received an error in the recording process, it may be the solution, but maybe someone could confirm that for me.

    Thank you

IF you use Outlook to download your email on your desktop PC, Outlook is probably "remove" mail from your email server when it downloads on your PC, before it can be "seized" by the RIM server to your device.

There is a setting in Outlook to "Leave Messages on server".

    For MS Outlook 2003:
    1. Outlook > tools > e-mail accounts > view or change existing > next.
    2. Select the e-mail account > change > additional settings.
    3. Advanced tab > leave a copy of Messages on the server
    4. check this box.

    * You will need to make this change for each Outlook e-mail account, you have.

Other versions of Outlook have a similar setting, although it can be found in a slightly different place of the: Advanced settings.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones open attachments in BB 8703e

I get my emails from Outlook 2003 (Exchange Server) using the BB Desktop Redirector: this way I get all that reached my inbox at the office.  Even if my 8703e has application 'Service of attachment 4.2 BB', I can't open attachments.  The "Open attachment" selection is not on the menu when I click on the wheel.  Is this a limitation of the channel of BB to Outlook?  If so, how to solve it?

Total success!   It took me a while (and failures), however, to configure the OWA settings.  Two pointers in this regard:

-In our case, the URL should begin with https and not http

-Our necessary in the DOMAIN\user_name format username

The rest is standard: address e-mail and the same password when you connect to the domain, use the static IP address instead of the server name and domain name in the URL and the name of the mailbox (not the one that appears in the Outlook folder list).

Thank you much for the help.

  • BlackBerry smartphones open the file extension. BBB for my torch 9630

I need to open my backup files but the extension. BBB is not recognized.

Hello and welcome to the community!

The backup files are proprietary, intended only to serve as a source of data for the restoration of a BB. Therefore, they are not readable on the computer. But there are many 3rd party computer there applications that can analyze and present data in human readable format... search (e.g., Google) and you will find, I am sure.

    Good luck!
