BlackBerry Smartphones paved & Alt key on 9900

Problems with my alt key and the touchpad.

Suddenly I can't push the ALT and a number or a key with a character at the same time. It doesn't matter if I'm doing this. I have to press alt then push the character or the corresponding number key.

My touch pad is nearly software related as I can't scroll between screens or if I chose to delete all messages it used to go up to confirm to delete all messages, I have to touch screen. On some screens the touchpad does not work and I have to touch the screen to go somehwere, suddenly the next screen, it works again. It's always the same screens and in the same places, it will not work.

my ISP gave me a new phone

  • Map of blackBerry Smartphones media encryption - device "BOLD" 9900

I am faced with a message "Media Card is secured by another device. Can't access encrypted files "."

What is strange, is that I have no multimedia card installed on the Bold 9900, only the built-in device storage. The message started to happen when I take a picture - I can't even save any picture on the device at all. But when I used the 9900 wasn't a problem. I don't have photos, music or other media stored on the unit in any case. I can only assume it came to the subject of the sync or back upward. But I have no recollection of which allows a guarantee nor any idea how to disable this 'security' at all.

    Any guidance appreciated!

Problem solved. Open Storage Options, device, clicked on the Total space key and blackberry for the drop-down list that allowed me to "Format" the storage of the unit.

Camera function now allows images to be saved again on the device.

  • Problem blackBerry Smartphones have with my BB 9900

    Hello

If you can help me please I am owner of a blackberry since 2005, now I own bb bold 9900, and I have a problem.

When I try to do a picture with the flashlight the phone restarts, if I make the photo without the flashlight, its ok, but with the flashlight, it's a problem, can you help me solve the problem?

    Thanks, Guy

It looks like to of the LED high output intensity. It could very well be a battery problem, but if the problem persists with the connected device or with a different battery, it's most likely a bad flash led or an electrical problem on the motherboard.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones 8830 remove key brings up menu sending

When you type an e-mail, if I hit the delete key to delete a character, a menu appears prompting me to send, save, or see the full Menu.  Send is highlighted on the menu... so if I hit the delete key again, the message sends.  This makes the deletion of a character string or text very difficult.  Any ideas on what causes the menu to appear?

    Hello

    There are two possibilities:

    (1) you press the wrong key - if you hit the button to the right of the trackball, you hit the 'BACK' / 'ESCAPE' key - it is not a back key.   This key is used to close the screen or the current menu and go to the previous screen, or to exit the current screen, which is what you do.   The correct BACKSPACE is the small button at the end of the rightmost in the midline of keyboard (line 'ASDFGHJKL').  It is the key which has "DEL" in small letters.

    (2) you have a faulty BlackBerry.  By pressing "DEL" by writing an e-mail, causing this abnormal behavior, is not normal.  Return to the store/carrier for a replacement BlackBerry.   Demonstrate the problem and they will agree that it is defective.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones icons on the homescreen 9900 Bold

How do I move icons on the main screen on Bold 9900 device so when I turn on the camera icons appear. Currently, I have to press the arrow in the Middle at the bottom of the screen and drag upward to get the icons appear.

First of all, you can control how many lines appear on your home screen when you turn it on.  The number of default rows is one, but if you put your finger on the arrow and drag it to the top (like you did), however several lines that you drag to the top of will remain whenever you turn on your phone.

If you want to lower the maximum number of lines, say maybe two only are needed, get the screen filled with the arrow at the top.  Then, highlight an icon with your cursor, press the menu key and select move then move the icon near top, even above the row.  Once you have the icons you need laid out near the top, you can drag the arrow down to hide all rows that fall below your selected icons.

    I hope that helps you.

Do you have an OS downgrade on my Bold 9900, everything went very well, phone started, mise put at day of some apps in appworld, made a batterypull and now my phone is dead. 2. you must install a BlackBerry OS file that is specific to your device. The original version, such as provided by the carrier, is the safe choice, but you can use a specific version of the model. It is not provided on the CD-ROM of BlackBerry, Ref: 3 links to BlackBerry download pages.

  • BlackBerry smartphones go from 9700 to 9900

    Hello

Next week I'll receive my Bold 9900, and I will transfer my documents from my old Bold 9700 to 9900.

Question: Can I do it just with back-up?

Also, I will be giving my old 9700 "bold" to a friend, but I want to delete all my info, files, email accounts, and anything else. How can I do this?

    Thank you

Yes the new desktop software allows you to synchronize your old phone with your new device and copy items in all. It backs up yiour current device and then transfer the details on your new phone

There is also an option on your current blackberry to reset to the factory settings. He will wipe away all of your details, but be careful, once it is not the way back

  • BlackBerry Smartphones speaker phone key

Since the upgrade to OS 4.5.0.175 yesterday, speaker/currency on my 8330 key will activate a currency symbol.  I can't find any option to key support with the speaker key.  Check the 'help' in Blackberry and he said to use the period (.) key.  I tried that and it didn't work.

    Any suggestions?  Thank you!

Hi and welcome to the forums!

    Happy to welcome you!

Try removing the battery with the unit on. Wait about a minute and replace the battery. Leave the BB completely restart and see if it does not help. Clears the memory and updates the BB; like restarting your pc.

There is also a free app called Quickpull that will do this so you don't have to actually pull the battery. Check it out here: Quickpull , I have mine set to reboot every morning at 4:30, so my BB is refreshed and ready to go every day.

Sometimes, however, a real battery pull appears to work even better when you have installed 3rd party applications or when your BB feels just slow of prolonged use (like display in these forums bravohelen:.)
When you have abnormal behavior in your BB a battery pull is often useful to clear it up too.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Z/7 key lost - just gave up

Thus, the 9700 has been an upgrade of my old 8020

And, two days after the purchase, the key of Z/7 falls just
Fortunately, he is on the floor & I pop again (like pop beads)
Now, 32 days after the purchase, the key Z/7 again went

Not fallen, not crammed into a tight sleeve - just using the pouch THAT RIM provides with a new purchase

(Oh yes - I am a Director of the University, so I know the difference between the damage and defective materials/equipment)

You really stick something thin & narrow between the keys to release an out - right?

It is quite difficult to compose the campus phones that all start by 7xxx

Even better - AT & T Premier Support said THAT RIM believes that he DAMAGED not defective
SO for $425, they will replace my new Bold 9700

    Suggestions?
    Replace ($425) - repair (where?) - iPhone - Droid?

Heard on the AT & T official / RIM written guarantees...

I just thought of a touch of fall is far from being a replacement recommendation $425 AT & T

Then, I got a pretty decent response from another forum...

Style of keyboard for blackBerry Bold 9700 black OEM - AT & T - Cellular Nationwide Network - cellular

Cost = $15.99 and certainly in my fixed know-how

A BB9700 is useless without all the keys & there is NO security VACUUM, right?

Good to know when the carrier will leave you hanging - other users will be to stick together - BRAVO
