BlackBerry Smartphones Technical Service Spain - repair

Hello
I bought a device via a web supplier (Expansys), after 8 months, the device begins to restart randomly, when open the Maps (GPS), when shooting with flash. Has all the symptoms of an eating problem. I changed the battery with the same result. Also after each reboot the battery changed from 90% to 20% and in the next reboot back to 90%. Tried all firmwares, wiped the device and no solution found.
Please I need advice to get the unit to the technical service. RIM said that the warranty is 1 year. EXpansys Don t pick up the phone after the first 18 days. Then he said I need to contact RIM and RIM is not to the assists.
I love my camera, BlackBerry Bold 9790.

Help, please.

Luis.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Oh... I'm afraid that you are in a more difficult situation. You see, RIM offers zero first line support to end-users, including warranty... all support starts with the carriers, resellers and authorized service centers, all who can degenerate case RIM free of charge for the end user.

Thus, the path of your support is not the RIM, unless you happen to be in an area with authorized service centers and your warranty conditions are such that you can use those. But, your place of purchase should be able to tell exactly how to use your warranty... so rather than let them out with telling you 'contact RIM', you must then press them for instructions regarding exactly how. As long as your dealer, they are responsible for providing you clear instructions as to what your warranty requirements are and how to use them. If all goes well they are authorized dealer... otherwise, you could be left in a situation with no warranty at all.

In any case, you have no free path to work around all that is your formal chain of guarantee and support. There is something called incident support, but it costs to just ask the original question, since you are not through the contract, you signed at the time of purchase. If you want to study, you can check it out here:

It is also perhaps a few good reading here:

But, overall, from your description, I would pressure the seller to provide clear documentation and accurate about exactly this that guarantee you advice, and exactly how you are supposed to use it.

Good luck!

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your carrier for formal support.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones sending service pack?

In the last 2 weeks, I realized that I was getting emails on my desktop and not on my "BOLD".

Emails usually come in the long (1-3 minutes) before on my "BOLD" when they appear on my desktop.

I solved the problem of "return service packs" of my camera. After that, the e-mails come and everything goes well for a week or so... i have done that now 3 times.

Is this a common problem and something that I have to get used or malfunction any?

    Thank you.

    Hello

You should not have to send the directories of service on a weekly basis.

I would like to delete the e-mail on the Blackberry accounts. Do a battery pull, (see attachment).

Recreate the accounts and follow these steps to register again with the network and send the

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Internet services bizzarely works not - help!

    Hello

I have a Bold 9700 and basically whenever I am out of my home wireless network, my internet on my BB has stopped working. This was never a problem before, but now when I'm away from my browser, bbm and emails all stop working (although kik doesn't, oddly). I am pretty sure that this is not a problem with the signal, here where I am at the moment to adequate coverage and this has happened almost anywhere, I took it too. Not quite sure what went wrong and how there to remedy, but would like to have guidance that can be offered. See you soon!

    Yes, the BlackBerry logo

On your home screen indicates you are connected to the required data BlackBerry for e-mail and other services other data functions BlackBerry like BBM and Facebook app, etc..

I don't know why it's disconnected except maybe in some areas of low signal or data not?

  • Warranty blackBerry Smartphones UK and do repair/replace

I bought my phone last September as released on Amazon UK. It is delivered in the original RIM package, and since then she has developed several problems.

    Problems include:

GPS system is deffective. A lock can sometimes be achieved and sometimes it will not. This includes times when I am stood next to another Blackberry user and it will not achieve a GPS lock when there is any material above the phone (ceiling, car roof, etc). I have asked about this problem on the RIM forums, and they improved GPS results, but it is still largely deffective.

I have noticed a green liquid emerging from the USB connection on the phone, which can cause some staining.

The phone will only 50% of the time receive a call. Quite often the phone will just send me a message to tell me that I have missed a call. The phone will not display that a call is being received. This is not a phone option as the same person can ring me twice in a row and one of the times it will not respond to the call.

The phone will not always respond to a change in internet connection, and will refuse to load pages as it wants a WiFi connection. This occurs about half of the time for all webpages, even if they're non-WiFi pages. This can only be resolved by connecting to another WiFi network. This occurs even with full 3G connectivity.

I'm tired to look for alternatives, and some of these problems seem to be repaired.

Is there a way I can just post to RIM and ask them to fix it in the title of their standard warranty of 12 months?

    Kind regards.

I thought it might be corrosion as well, but that would mean that the device has been previously exposed to a sort of liquid.

To quickly check, take off the case and remove the battery. The battery must have a white label near the connectors. Is it always white, or is it red? There is also an indicator of liquid on the left side of the battery (only visible when the battery is removed). It is white or has she turns red? There is also an indicator more in the camera itself (visible only when the device is engaged). Unfortunately, if one of these indicators have turned pink or red, the phone is is more covered by warranty.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Web service

I just got my Storm for Christmas. I have the email and web plan from Verizon. I often hear of this 3G service, but my phone says just 1XEV. Isn't she suppose to be EV DO? If I change the setting of the 3G I start roaming on ATT. When I browse on the internet, it doesn't seem to be that fast (unless I go to the homepage for Verizon). Could I have a bad setting on my phone? Why did they announce 3G if it isn't?

From my understanding 1XEV is 3G it's just the way Verizon has listed.   There is a difference between 1XEV and 1xev (note the lowercase)

In the Crackberry forums, there is a write-up on how change what he illustrated at the top right of your phone then it will show 3 G but I didn't do that.  I thought why worry, as long as I have 3G

Moreover, must make sure that you are in a 3G area before it will go to 3G.

    Good luck!

  • Warranty blackBerry Smartphones! RIM repair service?

    Hello community,

I have a question about BlackBerry security or technical service. I bought my "BOLD" through eBay and I got a Bill also. As I see it when starting my "BOLD" is that the carrier is O2 Germany.

Now, the bars of money between the keyboard fell of and I want to sent my BB on BOARD for technical service. I Don t know if I still have warranty or not, but it doesn´t question I'd even pay for it if they can repair. I already talk to O2 and they only repair with the original of the invoice I Don t.

So my question is if there is a technical center in Germany where I can send my BB to and they look through it, if they can fix it or not and if it s possible how much it will cost.

I already looked on the web and the forum, but I can´t find a direct contact with the RIM.

    Anyone know?

    Thank you.

    Mike

Sorry, no you have a guarantee of purchase off eBay, unless the seller wants to justify the device.

Buy new and third-party sellers (sellers unauthorized, as private sales on eBay) does not include a manufacturer's warranty, I think understand.

You would be better out of touch with local smartphone repair center in the EU or the Germany, I don't know... a RIM service center it could be, I don't know.

  • BlackBerry smartphones is browser Blackberry Blackberry Services

I have a Playbook and want to increase its functionality by investing in a Blackberry smart phone. There are a few things I'm not sure and would appreciate advice from participants in the forum:

    1. The Blackberry browser automatically comes with the 9320 curve or is it only available if you pay for the Services of Blackberry?
    2. Are there other features (other than the Blackberry e-mail access and e-mail) that comes with the paid for services?
    3. If I connect a Blackberry Smartphone to my Playbook I'll be able to run applications smartphone installed on my Playbook, although there may be not be an equivalent app Playbook?
    4. What is the oldest version of Outlook that can be synchronized with a smartphone?

Hello... and apologies for the late reply.

    climb45 wrote:

The browser comes as part of the core OS BB on the device, but depending on the level of the OS, it may or may not be able to operate without an adequate data plan subscription. Some (most recent) OS levels allow the browser to function very well via WiFi BB only, while others limit the browser race strictly via BIS (even when WiFi is the data connection only). Opera can be installed on the BB as a replacement browser and normally works very well when WiFi is available. Many 3rd party applications have parameters of configuration inside of them to direct the application to use BIS, BES, WiFi, etc. for their course of data... we must be sure to have the apps configured correctly to allow them access to a functional way, especially when BIS is not due to no data plan subscription.

    climb45 wrote:

    See for general guidance:

It is not quite fully updated for the newer operating system levels (see above re: BB browser), but it is generally reasonable to use.

    climb45 wrote:

Other than BBM and SMS (in newer versions of PB/BB/bridge), I don't know any way to run, your PB, whatever your BB at all. On the BB, he has the ability to remote control of the PB (via Bridge of BB), but not the other way around as far as I understand. Since you will not subscribe bis, you won't have BBM anyway.

    climb45 wrote:

    See this orientation:

    • KB12268 Support for synchronization for BlackBerry Desktop Software for Windows

It is not in itself a function of the smartphone... but rather the version of the desktop software that is in use.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones use Storm 2 as PDA WiFi-Connected (without telephone service)?

    RESOLVED:
See the second post in this thread for the solution (thanks to wiggler forum member)

    ORIGINAL MESSAGE:

[I know I am a "retarded" for even bringing this place, but we'll just go beyond the part and talk about what I really want to know here ]

My wife and I went to an Android (Bionic) for me and an iPhone (4 s) for her. However, his old phone (Storm 2) has recently been replaced because his former 1 storm went wrong on her... and now, since my father thought finally get something to replace his old (not to mention, broken and unusable) Palm device, we thought we might as well give him the Storm 2 and see if it'll work out for what he wants.

Here's the deal about my father and his PDA... already has a cell phone, so he won't move up to a smart phone, because he does not want to pay the extra money every month just to get a PDA phone when he probably never really use the data service much and all that.

He wants a phone just to be a phone, and he also wants a PDA... just for the PDA part.

So, I thought, very well... If he is not willing to move completely in the modern era, then we can at least give him something he can synchronize with Outlook (it works... I already tried) to have its calendar and contacts with him all the time (which it is not able to do with his simple mobile).

So what I know is that it's possible, at least in a very limited sense... I have the Storm 2 sync with Outlook.
However, here's my problem... for a reason, even if the wifi card appears to connect to the wifi here in their home access point, it is not actually get an IP address and can't get out on the internet with the browser integrated into all.

    My question is this...
Is it because it is not possible (i.e. RIM has configured to disable the card wifi within the unit while there is no mobile phone service connected), or who should run, and I should watch more in the sense of something wrong at the level of the home network?

The reason why I think that it could be something awkward like that within the device itself, it is my new Android and iPhone of the wife are able to connect to the network wireless home here very well.

Sorry for such a long thing, goofy needs help, but I thought it is a good starting point. If anyone has ideas and is willing to help, please chime.

p.s. I am a computer scientist. So I have that aspect covered... at least you do not work with a complete * beep * if you jump here.

I thought about it. I did a search on google for the specific message I saw in 'wi - fi tools' (which was "no longer valid"ip address ") and found this thread...
    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/other-BlackBerry-smartphones/IP-address-no-longer-valid/TD-p/...

The second post there (from wiggler), gave me the fix I need.
    Thank you!  :-)
