BlackBerry Smartphones Telus WAP Browser without another option

I've updated everything. Desktop manager 4.7, 4.5 OS. I have still that option for the Navigator WAP of Telus. Is there something I'm missing? I read that I have shoupld have options for "Internet Browser" and "Blackberry Browser" but I do noy have these options. I have re-sent service books, re-enabled e-mail accounts, but nothing. I noticed that it was a problem when I started having error 403: Forbidden when you try to view some Web sites or downloading files.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your provider of wireless services for formal support.

Hmm... I don't know why your BBM contacts are suspended.

    • I would try to backup your BBM contacts on your media card (open BBM > Menu key > Options > backup locally to media card).
    • Then, to delete BBM on your device in Options > advanced > Applications (options > device > Applications)
    • Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.
    • Now, reinstall BBM using your Blackberry browser to www.blackberry.com/bbm
    • restore your identical to the backup above BBM contacts.
  • Problem blackBerry Smartphones T Mobile browser

Hello everyone, I just activated a monthly plan with T-mobile for my torch 9810, I can't access a Web page except the home page. I'm a timed message.

I can access all the sites using the browser opera without any problem, that would be me mind not normally, but I don't see a way to make the browser opera, the default browser. has anyone else had this problem and managed to fix

I was on T Mobile mount and they forced me to change certain settings without success, at the end of the call the tech guy told me that I have to live with it.

    all thoughts

    Thanks in advance

    mast

You'll just have to live with it?  And they pay these people to solve your problems?

Let me assure you here and now, you don't have to live with it.  The tech answer is unacceptable, and I hope you get a chance to say that T-Mobile.

Okay, enough ranting.  As a general rule, if the Opera browser works and your BlackBerry browser does not work, this means that you have a package of generic data for your BlackBerry as opposed to an appropriate data BlackBerry (BIS) plan.  The tech did you know you have a BlackBerry phone?  I recall and make sure that this is the case.  Once you have recalled and confirmed, you'll want to register for the phone on the network.  Do so by following these guidelines:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/KB00510

Next step, return of service on your phone directories:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/KB15402

Finally, remove the battery while your phone is on, and then replace it.

If these steps, excellent work.  If this is not the case, call the T-Mobile and explain that these steps were not working and like you a have the problem solved by them, or (b) do you have your problem of lift on BOARD for resolution without cost to you (that is your right if they cannot solve it.  It's actually in their contract with RIM).  In no case you "have to live with it."  I've never heard something so ridiculous!

Keep us updated on your progress.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not save - stop WTLS Options

I am trying to create a backup file, but the process continues stop, saying: there is a mistake and it stops when it hits the WTLS Options.

    WTLS is Wireless Transport Layer

    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/deliverables/1487/WTLS_options_29083_11.jsp

This, first of all: open your browser > Options > Cache operations > clear your cache

    Try the backup again.

If still a problem, do a battery with cache pull cleaned and try again once the backup.

If still a problem, make a backup of everything but that in advanced backup.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones move BES Mail to another device

    Hi guys

Im a beginner please take it easy on me and if I left out info to help the problem, please forgive me.

Our MD has a Blackberry smart phone on another network (lets call it Blackberry 8300) we did an upgrade on all new devices and cause is on a new network and the Blackberry "BOLD"

I know that BES does not affect the sim card.  So on the new device, everything works except the mail that is BES not BIS.

Our BES server is in Germany. We are based in South Africa

How can ensure me that mail will go to the new?

I have Desktop Manager v5.0 and in there, there is an option to swap devices.

I did this and coppied all data everywhere everywhere but still no mail.

Please tell me what I need to do to get this working.

It's true. Once you set a password for activation of the account, and the user activates it with the password, all the stuff of BES will move to the other device.

got a little one tight spot here. I bought the bold 9700 in Malaysia but want to use it in China. but outside the subscription to the blackberry service of china mobile, can I use the bold 9700 without their enterprise e-mail service?

I have checked all the menus and options a gadzillion, but there seems to be no way around establishing an email without going through the service of the company.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

To use the Push RIM owner messaging capability, you must have an adequate data of your carrier plan. Carriers host BIS BB users. In general, BIS is not available through generic data plans. Several ships make stop what is needed the Blackberry data plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier that delivers BIS users of BB - contact - the for assistance. Once you have a compatible BIS data plan on your BB (fees regardless of your carrier will charge, btw), then you will have personal email added to the e-mail Setup Wizard.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones on WiFi browser does not...

    Hello..

I ran some tests to see check the speed of my browser on my home network on ATT.  When I turn off the Mobile network and turn the wifi to my home network, I get an error in my browser "you are not currently in an area that can handle the communication of data.

I've successfully connected to my home network, as evidenced by the situation on the top of the home screen.  Is there one other setting I need to select to "force" the use of my network domestic?  I used to have this in my "BOLD" settings under options in the browser, but from what I've read the connection switch is supposed to happen automatically on the browser of the torch.

    Any help would be great!

    THX.

I was running into the same problem and found that when we talk of a technician of the AT & T if you go to your icon 'Manage the connection', click on 'Set Up Wi - Fi network', highlight and click on 'Saved Wi - Fi networks', this will open your existing networks that are available and you have the possibility to move your networks available in any order you want.  Now with the network connection, it will search in the order of your networks available in the list and I personally found that my house and AT & T Wi - Fi was low on the list of available networks and once I moved to the top two solved this problem on don't slow no connection for me.

Now my problem that I find the "internet / browser" is that I have to zoom in several times on each page to display.  I tried to load several different browsers and to my dismay, no charge, any suggestions on this issue.

  • "New to me" blackBerry smartphones unlocked BB bold 9700 no option of internet email configuration

I just bought refurbished BB bold 9700.  I use Speakout prepaid service and have no data, but I want to configure my yahoo email using wifi.  However, there is no option for the Internet e-mail account in the Setup menu.  Since the menu implementation, when I click on email accounts it automatically goes to the company setting up accounts and nothing else.  When I go to the tips section it says this, 'If you see not this option contact your administrator or your wireless service provider.  Any thoughts?

Hello and welcome to the community!

Legacy of BB devices can't do email (or any other exclusive function of BB) via WiFi only. Even if used via WiFi, adequate data of a carrier plan must be a subscriber to the to enable these functions. You must subscribe to a data plan that allows the BIS to have functions of e-mail, even if you do not want to use it over WiFi.

A more recent device of BB10 has not, on the other hand, this requirement... BB10 devices can do all the functions via WiFi, without any carrier data plan. But your legacy device does not have this capability.

    Good luck!
