BlackBerry smartphones to remove several Messages?

First of all, I have the storm. It is not perfect,... and has a way to go, but it's a whole new product and design for Blackberry. Be a software QA tester, I see it all the time. Give them people of the time, I do not know marketing that knocked out a little faster while engineers would have liked, they always do. Let know what the problem with the storm and I don't know that they will do their best to fix it.

Second... does anyone know how to remove several messages or emails at one time? Or am I missing just something really easy to do?

  • BlackBerry smartphones to remove permanent Wifi browser - how?

I haven't bought a 9700 ROGERS no contract to replace my phone to work. The policy of the company, is that none of the mobile devices cannot have any method of navigation interenet. The 9700 will not network go, unless you have a blackberry data plan and I have nothing but personal messaging plan which works well. The problem I have is that the wifi browser still works and even when I remove the wifi browser in the service books, it is just when I do a battery pull. How can I permanently get rid of the wifi browser without being connected to a BES? (the company doesn't have a BES) - hide the icon isn't enough...

Thank you J Sanders. Sounds like something that will work. Forgive my ignorance, but where can I find version 5.0.0 for my 9700? -When I search the Blackberry site and enter my PIN (a ROGERS device) they do not show a BONE available for the 9700 yet...   I can't get the unit off I can? I really think what I need to know how to "install your current OS on your BlackBerry smartphone to your computer?  Thanks for your help, otherwise I can't use this unit that I paid $600 for

    Before you start:
Install your current OS on your smart phone BlackBerry to your PC.

    1. on the PC, go to C:\ProgramFiles\CommonFiles\ResearchInMotion\Share d\LoaderFiles\OS version\Java.
Create a new folder and name it deleted.

    2A c:\ProgramFiles\CommonFiles\ResearchInMotion\Share d\LoaderFiles\OS version\Java

Find the .cod named net_rim_bb_browser_dameon and move it to your new folder cod.

    3. plug the device and on your PC, open the Desktop Managver > AppLoader > Add/Remove programs and work your way through the process to remove the net_rim_bb_browser_dameon module. You won't notice any changes until after you see the screen of the Application loader, don't click on the boxes, click Next, then finish. ONLY you will see it after clicking Finish a quick notice that the module browser_daemon is deleted.

Close DM at the end leave your device restart.

After a reboot, you can get a java error at startup. Ignore it.

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

Have you recently installed a new application on your device? If you then uninstall or undo the changes that you did before this error appeared on your device. Also, try these steps and see if that helps:

1 - Save your pocket computer.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your provider of wireless services for formal support.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones untrapped Exception error messages

    Hi nGuys,

I was sent an email with a large attachment with it and now I can't access my emails or send texts?

Whenever I try, I am presented with this error message: -.

"Eception exception: java.long.array Indexoutofboundsexception' and an 'OK' button."

When I click this, (in the vain hope that everything will be OK from here in, it disconnects from the app and I'm at square one!)

That's why making the phone useless.

When I contacted Blackberry support, it says that he does not know of "Eception exception: java.long.array Indexoutofboundsexception'?"

Little help would be greatly appreciated: -.

Hello and welcome to the community!

There is virtually no diagnosis of those - they are the equivalent of random errors in Windows for which trace the root cause is futile. Basically, here's the last out in the programming code - some event occurred for which there is no event handler in the code. The patch is an update of the code that handles the event... but, again, what is the event is almost impossible. So, there are a few things to try:

Sometimes, the code simply is damaged and needs to be updated - just like a reboot:

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. There may be a code updated to the value of the carrier - check out them through this Portal:

The toughest possible causes are a bad application behave. To find it, there are two options. Is to see if you can read the log file:

Go to the home screen. Hold down the "alt" key and type "lglg". (You won't see anything as you type). This will bring up the log file. Scroll down (probably a lot of pages) until you see a line that says "eception execption. Click on this line. The application name will be in the info. Alternative methods to implement the newspapers are in this KB:

    • KB05349 How to activate, view, and extract the the event logs on a BlackBerry smartphone

The other method is to remove the apps one at a time, wait a while between the two (I usually recommend a week), until the problem stops... revealing the offending application. Yet another method is to recharge the BB OS itself, leaving little time between the addition of other applications on the BB in order to be able to determine exactly what is the cause.

That's an interesting statement... exactly how did you get that? As in, who did you call? RIM offers zero support to front line for BBs... only via the escalation of a carrier can you receive free support from RIM. You go through your carrier?

Good luck and let us know!

  • Help blackBerry Smartphones! -Lack of message, emails, icons of the camera on "BOLD" 9000

Saturday night my battery apparently lack of power completely.  When I tried to start, but there was no answer so I plugged and rebooted.  When it is turned on, the message text, the e-mail icon, icon of the camera icon and the cat icon Blackberry where everything is gone, on the screen.  Also the 'sound' icon in the upper left corner, you know that to control if the ring is strong, sweet, or vibrate, etc., is absent.  I had the screen saver is off.  But a photo in Blackberry default is now the screensaver.  I have some pictures and important texts and emails I need restored.  I also spent hitting the button on the bottom of the phone, and a message icon appeared or reappears, however, he only registered to Blackberry on the phone, a message registeration emails when I registered on 24 January and back in 28 Oct.  I bought the phone with an ATT store and they said it was new.  None of my previous electronic appear under this "new" message icon

Just curious to know if anyone knows of any quick fix until I have to waste my time online, then have a cust rep, who knows as much as this phone than me, tell me it will have to be shipped to a place and "restored".  Thank you very much.

PS - I just noticed the www browser is missing also.

Thanks for the reply.  A friend told me to stop the BB, remove the battery and then turn it back on.  The BB took a few mintues to come back but it worked and everything was restored.  He explained that the BB goes through a process of battery conservation and stop all programs in order to save energy.  He thinks that the current BB software is apparently not restored these programs stop you.  Maybe the upgrade of the software you suggested will do just that (?).  In any case, thanks for the effort.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones cannot remove the name of the audio album

I struggled to upload audio files to my BB Curve 8330 and had to remove several albums of songs because they do not play. Now, I downloaded the files that are going to play, but the name of the album (which include some songs) is still there. One of them downloaded the first time as a name and the second time than another, so I have two albums with very similar names; We're working and the other is empty. How can I delete album names once the folder/album songs have been erased?

    Hello

Without the help of Roxio, try the following.

Hang the BB to the PC and launch workstation.

Map of the media should look like a flash drive.

First, save the map media for security.

Look in each folder and delete all files named BBTHUMBS.

Find the name of the audio album you're trying to remove, make a note of the type of file and delete.

    Disconnect. Do a battery pull:

No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated. Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-5 min. This will allow the BB for re index songs, without the BBthumbs.

See if the name of the album 'Phantom' is still there.
    Thank you

    (a) remove

    (b) selecting them all and delete

    Do your backup first!

Have your BlackBerry connected to USB port > computer.

    Desktop Manager > backup/restore > advanced.

In the peripheral right hand pane, highlight and click on the database you wish to erase and below to select TRANSPARENT.

Who will clear this database on the device.

Remove your device from the USB and check.

Then, you can restore a database to the restoration done previously.

No prob. Please understand that in forums, awaiting a response 24 hours is accepted behavior. To 'bump' your message beforehand is considered bad etiquette. I don't notice that you asked this question in this forum before.

My bb Pearl never had any problems until yesterday when the call log and messages don't "let" on my phone. I have no call log and after a message is read, it is deleted. I looked in the settings, everything seems fine, I has not changed anything that just, it began to arrive.

    Help please,

    Thank you

The memory of your device is low. Remove the battery for 30 sec to 1 min and replace. This will free up space. Also read the discussions in the sticky section on freeing up the memory of the device. If you store photos, etc. on your device, you must move them to the memory card if you have a part for the workspace.
