  I have worked with Kellis Application Engineering and she determined that the shared variable engine had not begun on the CFP.  She had me reformat the CFP, reconfigure and reload the software of the PSC.  After that, I was able to deploy my variable library shared to the CFP.

  I can't figure out what I need. My PSC 2200 has a version of Labview RT 8.5.1 and fieldpoint 6.0.1.

  I need to be at least RT 10.0 Labview and fieldpoint 6.0.7 because I do Ethernet IP. I don't know that anything more recent that it will work as well.

  As far as I know, I downloaded fieldpoint 6.0.12 and I have the Labview RT 10 module. What Miss me to update software on the cFP-2200 by MAX?

  Wow, Fieldpoint 6.0.1 was released in 2008 - which has been in the LabVIEW 8.5.1 / 8.6 times.  If you want to use LabVIEW 2010RT, you really need to upgrade.

• Error 1 with STM write metadata on PSC-2200

  I have a request that I wrote for a PSC-2200 target which requires TCP communication. I chose the STM because it seems easy to work with and it worked fine up until now when I moved tests on windows-based computers using the real target.

  Now, my application server (running on a windows machine) returns an "error 1" after "Write of STM meta data" when serving an application of the cFP-2200. I think this must have # or a square looking character that is placed in the string that is sent over TCP when the input of meta data array is converted using 'flatten' within the STM write metadata VI.

  I've seen other messages dealing with this question for other targets but none for the cFP-2200. Does anyone know of any progress or workarounds? Maybe an upgrade of the target OS?

  OK, nevermind. I had wired earphone to the STM ID write instead of the ID of the connection.

  I wish the error comes to tell me what the problem was. It would have saved me a lot of time.

  Sorry, I left an important step.  You must also configure the host's Ethernet card to use a manual IP address in the same subnet assigned to the Virtual Machine and the sensor.

  1. connect sensor card via USB and set the IP address and subnet mask, disconnect USB.

  2. connect the sensor to the host (Mac) Port Ethernet card.

  3. in the Apple menu > Preferences system... > network > Ethernet > configure IPv4: manually, then set the IP address: and the subnet mask: properly.

  4. from the Virtual Machine settings > network adapter > Bridged Networking > Ethernet

  5. in the guest OS virtual machine to set manually the appropriate IP address and subnet mask.

  Example:

  The IP address of the host on the Ethernet adapter: 192.168.3.1 subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

  Guest OS Ethernet adapter IP address: 192.168.3.2, subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

  Sensor onboard IP address of the Ethernet card: 192.168.3.3, subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

  In this example, the sensor Council will be addressable by the host or the guest to 192.168.3.3.

  BTW I just tested it using my Thunderbolt Display Ethernet with a normal cable (straight not crossed) RJ45 connected directly to a device addressable IP, VMware Fusion and a virtual Windows machine.  Although the same works with an Ubuntu VM as I have in the past also.

  This should work without any problem but make sure that the firewall or other security software on the host and guest are not blocking communications!

• Is there a way in which I can see if Apple firewall blocks the traffic to a certain IP address?

  Connection to my e-mail domain seems to be blocked by a body between my home network (via Apple AirPort) and my mail server to an external service provider. I can connect to this fine through my mobile operator, but not from my home network. This leads me to believe it may have something to do with the Apple firewall, blocking traffic to.   I'm relatively new to Labview.  I recently bought the EthernetIP for Labview 2014 library and try to establish communication with a Contrologix 5561 with an ENBT ethernet module back.  I did so far, some programs of barebones namely, a few blocks from Tag Read to read to bool, ints, deformations and real numbers.  Which works very well.  I have change the label on the side of plc, and the change reflects my LabVIEW VI.  I am now on the written tag part and will not have the same success.  My current VI consists simply of an EthernetIP write tag (INT), the IP (and bottom position of basket and slot) to the path network, an existing tag name and a constant (tried control earlier) in the data port.  It is almost identical to my readings of tag configuration, except that I have an input rather than output.

  I know that I do nothing to establish a correct connection, but since tag reading working well enough, I have not focused on that.  Maybe I am missing here.

  Anyone has any advice on what I can do to fix this problem?

  I checked the attached vi. And I found the data you have provided to the Write.vi of the tag must be rectified. You can see that the value field is always gray, which means, you have not provided any value that you want to write in PLC. So I hope that you won't see any value next PLC.

  I have a HP OfficeJet 7410, which seems to work if the computer or printer is conncected to the network by an ethernet cable.  If both are wireless, the printer cannot be seen from the computer.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  What router?  You can get in its settings? If so, search for "Isolation wireless" or just "insulation" and disable it.  This setting blocks communication between customers Wi-wired and on the router.
