BOSD session3_initialization_failed

Hello

I'm having a problem with a pc from a client.

If I try to start the windows installed, restart the computer on the windows loading.

If I use the last good configuration it gives this error:

Driver_irql_not_less_or_equal

Stop: 0x000000d1 (0 x 00000005, 0 00005000, 0xf77be8b7, 0x00000001)

ATAPI.sys - address f77be8b7 base at f77bc000, datestamp 3b7d83e5

If I try the SafeMode error is: 0x0000007F (0x0000000F, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000).

so I decided to reinstall windows, that usaly solves most of the problems.

When I try to install, loading the cd it gives me the error:

SESSION3_INITIALIZATION_FAILED

STOP: 0X0000006F (0XC000012F, 0X00000000, 0X00000000, 0X00000000);

I replaced it with a stick of ram diferent and a new hard drive and a cd of diferent windows, and the problem persists.

the motherboard is a with a celeron asrock p4v88 of intel, with a strip of 1 gb ddr400.

I don't really know what to do. This is a pc that works only with a PCI for cctv, there is not a computer or play station.

Thank you.

Since you are not able to do a clean install, you know that the problem is hardware. And since you replaced the hard drive and RAM, the motherboard or the processor is what remains. If the computer is old, it is not cost-effective to replace the motherboard. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • "SESSION3_INITIALIZATION_FAILED" error

Hi, I use windows xp in my laptop... I can't recover my pc from the recovery partition and nor do the system restore it shows

"SESSION3_INITIALIZATION_FAILED" ERROR.  What should I DO?

If you mean that you get a STOP error message that says something like:

    SESSION3_INITIALIZATION_FAILED

    STOP: 0X0000006F (0XC0000034, 00000000, 00000000 00000000)

It isn't RAM, has nothing to do with chkdsk.

There is no Manager start Windows, no tools, no option under XP Memory Diagnostics...

So far, these sound like the Support Engineer suggestions guess just bad.

Should actually see and learn to fix various SESSION messages.

The usual culprit is an anti-virus software - perhaps Avast!, AVG or Avira, which has
files deleted or quarantined needed XP such as file manager Session of Windows:

    c:\windows\system32\smss.exe

You may be able to start safe mode, someone told and replace the file missing from there.

I guess that the file might have been really infected and quarantined, but that has never been my experience.

What antivirus software do you use and do you have it used before this incident?

If the files have been quarantined or deleted, you can simply replace them with copies that are already on your HARD drive, but to do this, you must start your system in the Windows XP Recovery Console.

Start the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD or create a
    CD bootable XP Recovery Console.

This is not the same as recovery disks that may have come to a store to purchase the system.  If
you don't know what kind of bootable CD, you, do a CD of bootable XP Recovery Console and do not forget.

There are at least four possibilities (that I know of) for these missing files that give rise to the
    Session3 or SESSION5 message type:

    Windows\System32\smss.exe<-------- most="" likely,="" so="" replace="" this="" one="">
    Windows\System32\ntdll.dll
    Windows\System32\ntoskrnl.exe
    Windows\System32\drivers\ftdisk.sys
    Windows\System32\winlogon.exe

After starting in the XP Recovery Console, you should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  If you are not in the C:\WINDOWS folder, you have another problem you fix first.

When copying the files, you can replace the existing files with copies, in order to answer in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing files.  If the copy is successful, you should see a message that the file has been copied successfully.

In the Console of recovery at the C:\WINDOWS prompt, enter the following commands:

    CD system32
    c:\windows\system32\dllcache\smss.exe copy
Answer in the affirmative to all messages "Are you sure" If 1 file (s) copied
    output (your system will restart)

Depending on your system configuration, you may need to copy the files somewhere else, so if they are not in the folder dllcache for any reason, enter the commands like this:

    CD system32
    c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386\smss.exe copy
    output (your system will restart)

Hi Please help me with this one because I am at a loss

  • Various issues with Satellite M40 225

    Hello

I am having some problems with my laptop Satellite M40-225. -Here's...

First of all when booting I get a bad / lack error OSB, in order for me to get to the start I must incline Press esc, go into the bios then get out of the bios tilt the laptop again and it will start then.

Also I sometimes get errors BOSD, sometimes he mentions ati2, but above all it says physical memory.

I have flashed the bios to try to get rid of the first error but no luck.
Nothing new has been installed on the laptop, I even reloaded windows and tried with a spare hard drive, but nothing seems to work!

Please help, I know that probably need something alternative, but I don't want to start buying things for her I have I don't know what's going to fix it.

    Thank you

    Susie

    Hello

AFAIK usually Missing/Bad OSB logo error message is displayed if the error was detected in the BIOS or CMOS ROM module

But according to the BSOD with physical memory error error, I guess that your modules of memory are not correct and that this must be the main reason for you questions.

Of course I could be wrong also, and perhaps the whole issue is related to the faulty motherboard but in the first step, you should check your modules of memory installed.

Hope you will get rid of these questions after a replacement memory.
    I keep fingers crossed ;)

    Good luck

  • Qosmio G30-176: BSOD when installing Windows Vista Edition full

I have my wisdom(??!!) I bought a Toshiba Qosmio g30-176 with preinstalled Windows XP MCE 2005. The plan was to install Windows Vista Ultimate on drive D: (do the dual machine boot XP & Vista). I've updated the BIOS today on the Toshiba site and I ran Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor.

I started the upgrade of Vista (custom) and installed the Toshiba RAID drive C: Qosmio (driver C:\toolscd\raid) driver. Installation starts copying the files from the Vista installation disc. This completes OK.

The upgrade then continues to "unpack"(?) ". files - part way through this restarting of the o/s.
To restart the Qosmio stop with the blue screen of death and the "SESSION3_INITIALIZATION_FAILED" message "STOP: 0x0000006f (0xC000009D, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000).

    What is the error?
What should I do to fix it?
    Thanks - Alan E

  • Need help with upgrade from WXP MCE for Vista Ultimate on Qosmio G30 - 175

Hi all, I tried to search for the problem following without success so I would be very grateful if someone could help and point me in the right direction:

"Tried to upgrade XP to ultimate and he arrived at the stadium and BSOD unpacking" Session3_initialization_failed (xxx STOP: 0x0000006F (0xC000009D, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) appeared several times.) I tried again and the same thing happened.

I have already updated the BIOS and stripped the conflict out of the suite of Toshiba of programs and update Advisor gave the OK on several occasions before attempting this exercise.

    Help... Dave

I forgot to mention also that I'm running with 2 x 2 GB of Ram and no software or additional material has been added before attempting the upgrade. The medium I use to upgrade is that a full version recently bought 32-bit Vista Ultimate (which also includes a 64-bit in the box version, too).

I was in contact with Microsoft Support these days and they told me that my hard drive seems to be defective as the reason for the failure of the upgrade. Infact last week with Microsoft on the phone did us try a clean install, but that just lead to me having to give up the clean installs and rescue my laptop back to original XP MCE... flipping hell!

  • How to overcome a persistent BSoD?

It is not my computer and I don't know the specs of it, but the problem may have started after downloading things on the internet.

Now all that comes up is the bsod 0x0000006F with "session3_initialization_failed" error message and the usual "check hardrives" and whatnot message. I tried to reboot in safe mode, last secure boot, boot normal setting, but nothing has worked so far. I tried to check the system error log, but the only thing listed was 2 errors of mouse about a month ago. I'm not very tech savvy it's fair solutions to the internet after a lot of research but I would like to know how to fix this if possible before calling in the pros.
    Thanks for any help,

    Hello

    (1) what version of operating system do you use?

I suggest you try the steps listed in the link, below that would help us resolve stop (blue screen) errors in Windows 7

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/resolving-stop-blue-screen-errors-in-Windows-7

If you use the Windows vista operating system, then try the steps from the link below.

Error message when you start a Windows Vista-based computer on which Windows ReadyBoost is running: "STOP: 0x0000006F SESSION3 INITIALIZATION FAILED.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Session initialization failed

I've got the blues of this BSOD.  I got inside the recovery with disc Console but I need help with orders.  Apparently I don't speak this language.  My stop message is 0x00000006F.

If you mean that you get a STOP error message that says something like:

    SESSION3_INITIALIZATION_FAILED

    STOP: 0X0000006F (0XC0000034, 00000000, 00000000 00000000)

This usually means that the smss.exe file is missing - probably (actually deleted) quarantined by antivirus/antimalware program (Avast, AVG or avira! first thoughts).

You can recreate the problem whenever you want, and then learn how to fix it.

There are several different messages of SESSIONx_INITIALIZATION_FAILED and they all mean something different.

Generally not too difficult or difficulty however.

For this one, I would do this:

After starting in the XP Recovery Console, you should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  If you are not in the C:\WINDOWS folder, you have another problem you fix first.

In the Console of recovery at the C:\WINDOWS prompt, enter the following commands:

    CD system32

    c:\windows\system32\dllcache\smss.exe copy

Answer in the affirmative to all messages "Are you sure" If 1 file (s) is copied and then type "exit" at the command prompt (your system will restart)

Depending on your system configuration, you may need to copy the files somewhere else, so if they are not in the folder dllcache for any reason, enter the commands like this:

    CD system32
    c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386\smss.exe copy
    output

    (your system will restart)

There are other options for this message, but I would start by replacing the smss.exe file.

When I ran 'Systems of Test' I got an alarm with the message "error code 1000-0141.

I'm stuck in this blue screen.

If you mean that you get a STOP error message that says something like:

    STOP: 0X0000006F (0XC0000034, 00000000, 00000000 00000000)

The usual culprit is an anti-virus software - perhaps Avast!, AVG or Avira who has deleted or quarantined needed XP files as the file manager of Windows Session:

    c:\windows\system32\smss.exe

I guess that the file might have been really infected and quarantined, but that has never been my experience.

There is a copy of backup on your system. You just need to start somehow and replace it.

Maybe someday the dialog box 'ask a question' forums XP will ask these questions automatically when a new thread is started so I don't have to ask every time.  It might even be possible to solve a problem in a single response when enough information is provided.

Thank you MS Answers, allowing the resolution of simple problems as frustrating and a lot of time as possible.

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a CD/DVD drive work?

You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

  • STOP 0 x 00000050, suspicious driver generic VGA

I just changed my death with an ATI NVidia video card. Before that I could install the ATI drivers, vista has attempted to install the generic VGA driver. Unfortunately, it fails to install correctly (by looking at Device Mgr). This translates into blue screen STOP error 0 x 00000050 (0xFFFFFFFF, 0x00000008, 0xFFFFFFFF)

    I tried: -.

    • System configuration (disable all) still BSOD.
    • Safe mode: works very well for as long as I want, but I can not install any drivers. So, does not help.
    • Go back to a Restore Point. Œuvres, everything is restore, I almost have to install the ATI drivers. But 5 to 10 seconds after I see "point restoration done" he of Disconnections.
    • I tried to uninstall the VGA generic, also tried disable it. Eventually Vista has need of them & BOSD
    • I ran diagnostics DELL & BIOS on the support all seemed OK
    • I've seen other posts mentioning problems with Vista SP1 causing the STOP 0 x... 50. as I am on SP2 he possibly apply to me also.
    • When I start it, I can connect on & she stays for the whole Windows start-up phase. If it is the search for device drivers, I even sneak in a short program like device mgr. But the second he has completely loaded. BSOD.

I have not WinDBG accessible so have no abiliy to prove my theory in the video driver by looking at the minidump. This is perhaps another question.

As I put it more than 12 hours in this now, any suggestion welcome. It's quite urgent for me.

Note: I have Win7 PC, I prefer not to upgrade that I need an old PC Vista around test & support.

Jeremy, thank you a lot of take your time & effort in creating this response.

    For others,.

I worked on that until 03:00 & pent more than Athens today on this subject. As I finally found a nice way to solve a variety of issues. I hope that you can benefit from what I have learned.

    1. The only way I could avoid the blue screen was due to start in safe mode. Projected never blue safe mode. Thus less likely to be a problem of power H/W or power. I also ran diags H/W to check.
    2. The MiniDumps Windows created by the blue screen tend to point to the driver who caused the problem. To read it, you can install WinDbg (debugging Windows) in the Windows development kit. But I had limited disk space & couldn't get it installed correctly. It also requires deeper skills.
    3. I found BlueScreenView v1.35 http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html this tool is awesome. Very small (135 k), runs from a USB (no change of registry). Lists all the files in Windows\Minidumps & provides all the key data. Highlighting the drivers at the origin of the problem.
    4. He me pointed PCI Multi i/o Parallel Port Driver for Sunix, file Snxppalx.sys.  in the Window\System32\Drivers directory
    5. I looked in the computer, R.Click Manage, computer management | The Device Manager to see if I could update, disable or uninstall the device, but could not find it listed.
      1. While I do not use parallel ports, in any case, I just renamed the file.
    • That solved the problem.

Windows complained that he had to find a driver. I simply ignored it.

Other things that were very practical.

In order to avoid windows install the generic driver.

    1. Download the latest ATI Catalyst install package.
    2. Expand it, somewhere with a little easy to type the directory path.
    3. Launch as the ATI installer that you can before he died.
      1. I found that if I used the system restore to roll back to the previous point, except that the system takes too long startup & digitization of the generic VGA driver. This gave me time to run CMD.exe and run the ATI setup.exe from the command prompt. He completed the 1st half of the installation before the BSOD. This installed every bit of criticism, put the pilot of the DLL in the Windows\System32\Drivers directory.
      2. At the same time I used Device manage to disable the generic VGA driver once PHP he had loaded.
    1. Copy then both. INFs Packages\Drivers\Display\W7_INF\ *. INF & paste in C:\Windows\INF
    2. At the next restart of the found PnP drivers for my card.

Of course in this case, I blame myself the generic VGA driver, because it was not installing properly, I thought that was the problem. It is likely to be innocent.

In summary, BlueScreenView is a beautiful thing. I wish I had found it 16 hours earlier.  It seems to be written by 1 guy in his spare time & is freeware. Use it & donate.

    I hope this helps you.

I installed in the tower and tried to use my restore and system recovery disks that the manufacturer has given me, the process has got to the last disk then asked for the system once again restore disc, and then began to load the last steps and went to blue screen error. I don't know what to do, I mean it's a whole new drive hard, so where could the error come, theres nothing on the hard drive because I have not yet used really, yet. Help, please

I have finally fixed the problem myself. The problem was that one of the sticks three memory was bad and the only way I could test this error. I took two sticks a left, used disks I had and was able to restore my computer, then I put a stick, turned on the computer, had no errors so I let him, so I put the last stick in and com immediately on, I had the Disconnections: memory management and that's when I knew that the last stick of memory was bad I took it back and now my computer works well and I can't buy more memory for not too. So if someone gets this BOSD error on memory, I'd say 8/10 computers have bad memory (not a number). If youcannot run the tool of diagnosis of memory like me then I would suggest to do what I did with the trial and error, it was the only way to understand the problem. Thanks for your help
