Box & blackBerry Smartphones phone do not match...

I received a German T-Mobile "BOLD" in October, as a gift. I have no Bill, which isn't a problem because Blackberry works with warranty IMEI if necessary.

All by activating my BIS today, Proximus Belgium discovered that my box did not correspond to my phone! It seems that 2 puts in bold have been switched in the store where they were sold. Of course, I'll never get the correct box since it was purchased in another country, months ago. I still have the box and all the accessories, but even from a distance, I didn't a seller might ruin this bad...

I guess that it will not cancel or change my warranty in any way, since there is no user error. Who should be contacted for this? RIM (can't find an email address for this) or T-Mobile Germany?

    Hoping someone can help me here.

    I'm trying to fix Bold 9700 from my mother-in-law.  I know that I had this same problem with my 9700 old a few years ago, but don't remember how I fixed it.

    Its BB was working fine, then emails came only sporadically.  She called Rogers, technical support and they told him to do a full restore.  After the full restoration, she has absolutely no email and when you click on the e-mail configuration in the installation section it goes absolutely nowhere... almost as if it has never been activated.

    I tried

    -a reload of the operating system available (same problem)

    -a return of service books (an email comes through recorded everything, but then nothing else comes through)

    All the other features of the phone seem to work perfectly.  The person of Rogers told him that the problem was because the phone is old and it's broken and won't work anymore.  I do not subscribe to this belief and am sure that we can get it up and going again for her.

    A few things to discuss... so bear with me...

    (1) contrary to others how things, RIM does not provide desktop PIM. Others force you to use their PIM and only their PIM. RIM provides a driving software that works as a bridge between your PIM and the BB. See this compatible PIM KB:

    • KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize

    (2) RIM provides a device switch Wizard to migrate from another SmartPhone to a BB... but only for compatible devices. See this KB:

    (3) If your old phone is not compatible with the wizard, then RIM more offers the possibility to import ASCII and CSV files. See this KB:

    • KB04312 Create and synchronize with an ASCII export file

    • Sorry, but RIM does no research on how to get your data from your old device and in ASCII format or CSV... it is a function of your old device.

    So your choice is, IMO, to continue to use a desktop PIM for your data (and you should, IMO)... then choose a compatible PIM (from above). Then download your data from your old device and the PIM Office. Next, configure the BB to sync with the PIM:
