    Hello

    ·          Have you tried to disable the Windows Update and checked her if the connection works?

You can disable the security temporarily software and check if that is causing the problem.

    Reference:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • No soft-switch to turn on WWAN after update from Dell's broadband services manager

I was used to a right-click on the Dell Mobile Broadband Manager icon and turn the card WWAN 5560. A few days ago Dell order Update update it and I can't turn it back on. Tried to remove the drivers, the Manager, returning to older drivers, firmware update - nothing. It just says: the unit does not communicate and gives me no options to activate the software don't turn it on again. HW switch is on.

What else can I try? Where can I get older versions of Manager broadband?

    Win7 Pro 64. 6430u.

EDIT: I just booted into Ubuntu and WWAN works well here.

Edit2: I also tried the manager version 7.1.0.2 - same results. Anything more?

Got it work but I don't know how. I made sure to delete everything about however WWAN. Restart windows to make sure that it is absolutely not able to reinstall anything on its own. I installed a few random drivers of 2012 and worked them well. Now, I 7.2.3.0 and those who work too.

  • Satellite A100 - BT mobile broadband

Here's an email from BT, I just can't get their mobile broadband services working with my Satellite A100

    Hi Mr J Cairns,.

further to our conversation regarding your problem with Broadband BT's Mobile on Windows 7, we have concluded that the fault is caused by its windows 7 autonomous, there seems to be a problem with Dial-up networking on the computer, our software indicates that there is a problem with the "Remote Access Connection Manager service" and try to manually start the Service generates an error about its dependencies.

My only suggestions to solve the problem is to contact your PC vendor for diagnosis or to perfom a factory restore on the computer, the provider of your PC will be able to help with this, we will contact you in a few days to see how you have progressed with the question and if the advice I gave helped resolve the issue.

    Any advice appreciated

LOL :) such emails are very usual for service people who don t know what the problem could be it of very simple for someone point to the manufacturer of the computer and computer question s say.

Can I ask you what problem do you have?

I assume you are using a 3rd party Bluetooth modem and are not able to install Win 7 usign?
    Am I wrong?

Why this should be a laptop problem?

As mentioned in your message, the question could be between BT and Win 7 modem.
In my opinion the BT modem manufacturer should provide you with assistance.
There may be some problems between BT and Win 7 modem configuration?
    Who knows.

Are you able to connect other devices BT the A100? Yes? Well in this case, the battery of BT is installed correctly.
Otherwise I would recommend reinstalling the BT stack and set it up again.

Unfortunately, it is not wwan adapter in your laptop. Laptop specs short descriptions on the Lenovo site includes the words "WWAN option. This means laptop is "wwan ready" has only - player of sim cards and wwan antenna installed, no wwan modem itself.

    Device Manager confirms that.

  • Vista Services Optimizer

I am running Vista Home Premium. I recently asked defender of widows and Services to improve the performance of the computer. I received a satisfactory answer, but decided to 'go it alone' and take a look at the Configuration of the system, because my computer (laptop) still sounds very business and tends to slow down just when I go to the line. I tried to disable some start upwards and services that went well initially, but I think that I got too carried away and things started to go wrong, such as inability to connect with the internet, so I had to do a system restore. Where I live is a strong signal for wireless broadband services, which is not very useful, but that's why I try to optimize my computer to make the most of what I have. Which brings me to the question if I should install the optimizer, I'm a bit wary about downloading these things, but need some advice on what I could disable it to give a little more performance services force. I get very confused as to this subject, do not understand the terminology. Can anyone help please?

    Hi mollie1950,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community.

I understand that you are facing the issue with your computer's performance.

    Method 1:

If you face any problem of Internet connection, I suggest you to see link and check.

    Method 2:

Why is my Internet connection so slow?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/why-is-my-Internet-connection-so-slow

    Method 3:

I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Important: During the scan of the hard drive if bad sectors are found, the scanner tries to repair this sector, all available on which data may be lost.

  • Can not dial AOL and broadband is very slow.

I have a 2 year old Toshiba laptop.  Recently, he has been making slower and slower when it is connected to the internet.  Yesterday he could not dial the number of AOL and said that he had no dial tone.  However, if I listen carefully, I can hear the familiar beep and recording that says "If you want to make a call Please hang up and redial."  (this is what happens when a phone is off the hook)  Anyway, frustrated, I went to my neighbors who have broadband service, and the laptop is slower than molasses when on the internet through their broadband services.  The laptop works at speeds normal when not online.  I tried system restore to an earlier date... no help.  Then I reinstalled the entire system and still can not dial AOL.

Any help would be appreciated!  :-)

It is a symptom of severe infection so start by analyzing carefully:

    http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

If you can't do the work yourself (and there is no shame in admitting this isn't your cup of tea), take the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your local equivalent of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad). Please be aware that not all shops are skilled at removing malware, and even if they are, your computer may be so infested that Windows will have to be properly installed. If possible, have all your data backed up before taking the machine into a shop.

  • connect other computers to the internet through an ad hoc network of a connection__ broadband windows 7

I have a HP netbook with a Windows 7-based broadband connection.  I created a residential group of this netbook so other computers running Windows XP can connect to it and use the connection Strip.  I have inconsistent results.  Sometimes it works and sometimes not.

My question how do I set up a gateway to the internet from the netbook to other computers can access the internet.

Do I need to set up a network of residential group for this place?  Is there some settings of internet connection of the netbook I need to change (for now that I disabled the firewall, so it does not interfere).

    Thank you

I do not use a router.  My netbook has a map broadband and a wi - fi card.  Simply, I connect to internet through my broadband card.  I tried other computers to be able to access the internet through that connection, that's why I've set up homegroup (maybe I would not do?)

Anyway, sometimes it works but is not for most.  I'm trying to keep it simple and not get a router, etc. since it is a situation that's going to happen from time to time.

    Thanks for responding!

    Paula

    As posted earlier...

To use your netbook as access wireless router/AP watch these GUI frontends to netsh commands that will do this for you. I do not think that you have ICS enabled to do so.

ICS, in my experience there is a very long time is flakey at best...

FWIW, there are routers broadband accepting adapters broadband videophone/USB/etc function for example. According to what broadband service, you have maybe one depending on your needs.
