    What happened when you tried?

AFAIK, you must say it again to create the structure of the files in a folder on your hard drive, then use something like the free http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download to burn this file on the DVD

  • Burned disks has been replaced as white when poster

I had my Pavilion dv6000 since under or up to one year and until these last few months, I was able to burn DVDs (video or data) as usual. Sometimes my dvd player would have difficulties to read some DVD, either burned, to be bought, and it would make a noise whirring as if they were having trouble finding the disk, but all in all it worked well.

But recently, I had bad to burn discs and playing burned discs. Sometimes the burning process, use any program or what type of disc that I use, will not end and it goes into formidable "not responding" mode or just stays on the final burning stages or update until I cancel or eject the disc. Most of the time, however, the burn completes successfully, but when I try the disc in my laptop, it appears as empty.

I'm not techno savy while I can provide all the details that ask you, so you'll need to explain how I can do to get their.

    Hello Skaski,

Yes, I will try to burn a few different types of brands of cd/dvd. With regard to the types that can be the disc burner use basically is the responsibility of the manufacturer but is not really the issue it is necessary. You can try to see if there is an update of the firmware for your drive model. If the drive is bad or, failing that, then yes of coarse, you will need to replace it. They are usually held in with a screw, then you slide out then slide in the new drive and rebooting the system is all that is simple enough. They average about $ 50 for a new. If I were you, I would buy an external drive to do your burning and what ever you need. Just use the edge only as a back up to install the software or the operating system. One last thing before that I forget, you can try to clean the lens of the laser with a rubbing alcohol and a Q-Tip gentley clean clean the lens. Hope this helps you. Let us know anyway. Make it a great day!

  • DVD writer will not burn disks in XP Pro...

I'm having a problem with a recently re-installed Windows XP Pro (in fact, Media Center Edition 2005, updated with SP3). I can not burn DVD at all; I've tried three different readers of verified and made a 'repair installation' to the BONE, but no dice.

In 'My computer', the drive (SATA, Samsung SH-S223C drive) presents itself as "DVD - RAM Drive (E :) ', but when I insert a blank DVD-R media, the name changes to 'CD Drive (e)' and pushes me, as usual, to open an accessible folder writable.). If I open the drive in the Solution Explorer, controls do not show that it can be "written". The same thing happens with two other known readers, who are all two PATA interfaces.

In the "Properties" for the reader, "Enable CD writing for this drive" is checked. In Computer Services, "IMAPI CD burning... '. ' is running.

I tried various checked drives and different brands of media (known to be good on the other PC), so the problem must be in the OS somewhere. I can't run the "Fixit" tool, because it invites me to .NET Framework 2.0 or later version, and I've got .NET Framework 4 already installed (what is yet another problem?).

    Any help would be appreciated.

Windows XP does not work (not never, will likely not ever) natively write on DVDs.  CD, Yes, he has limited there.  DVD - need a third party application.  You are using.

  • How to burn disk HARD of Encore CS5 to see on TV?

Hi, I was storing my videos in Blu - Ray discs. I now want to go road/Media Player to drive through our Samsung LED TV. I tried to burn a video last night with Encore CS5 with the single option allowed me to "flash.swf" but it won't play on my TV. I can see the file, but not game. Help, please!

I have through this earlier, not wanting to buy a drive based player, but want to play hi-def with menus, similar to the BluRay.  So what I ended up doing, was to create the BluRay ISO of still and just copy the ISO on the hard drive of a Dune Media Player, who was the only player in media, I could find who would play BluRay ISO, with the support of menu.  A lot of players would play the ISO, but without the menus.

The dunes are a bit expensive but works perfectly.  Perhaps you could find a used one on Ebay, but make sure it supports BluRay menus, because not all models do.  My model is a little older, don't know if it is still available.

  • Can I create a second Windows 7 startup disk?

    Here's the question:

Even though I have an install of Windows 7 perfectly well supplied with the Inspiron 3847, can I format a second disk and reinstall from scratch on that one?

    Here's why...

When I got my computer a few weeks ago, it has a large and I started to install all my programs.  A specific program ran very well in the beginning, but after a week, he started to break with a stackhash_2264 error.  I did some research to death and found nothing.  I just installed MS Expressions, and it crashes with the same error.  I have to figure that something I installed along the way don't play well with others.  I tried to start with only basic services and startups, but nothing works.

What I would do is to do a fresh install and start to install my programs in the same order as I did initially and to locate the place where things got ugly.  I spent a LOT of time to install and configure all my programs, and I really don't want all uninstall if that can be avoided.

    Thanks for any help

DBAR = Dell backup and restore.  If your menu button is updated you have 1.5 or 1.6 and should DBAR before MAKING the UPDATE of the USB recovery media.

You can't save everything, including the new software installed without the version $paid of DBAR.  For this, I recommend a flash drive 128 GB usb of the MicroCenter, which costs $50.

Mine was 1.6 and I got my 3847 at Christmas with Windows 8 pro "with windows 7 installed pro" label while it was important to me that I get a GOOD backup who would work in the event of disaster.

If you have the old version, I do it again and delete the backup on the flash drive.  New version 1.7 will restore on any size HDD while the old version will insist that she's as big or more drive to work with.

Aka, I used an old 80 GB drive that I nuked to see if the FlashDrive bootable restore would work.

USB drives will last 50 years without problems, but the recovery DVD burned disks deteriorate over 10 years or less.

Recovery and backup of Dell. DBAR

These issues Existed with the safe Application of data as well.

    Download Dell backup and restore

    1. 16 gig or major media USB 2.0 should be recommended on DVD burned, because they don't last.

    2. you cannot recover to drive SMALLER that the original AKA 250 GB SSD drive cannot be the recovery with 1 TB or deleted 500 gig drive. (This has been fixed with version 1.7.0.64)

    3. the recovery partition is encrypted instead of a hidden factory WIM file that can be saved.  This means also you cannot use Ghost or Acronis to clone the drive and keep the factory restore F8.

(This also has been fixed with version 1.7.0.64)

    4. a recovery media made with previous versions of DBAR cannot be upgraded.  You need to update or install the new version and then perform a full bootable backup.

The problem with that need 3 DVDs or more to make a recovery media are one of reliability.

That's why I recommend a 16 Gig or more USB flash drive instead. (It takes 10 min to do concerts)

    Welcome to the HP Forum.

The profile of the user on the main account is corrupted and will not allow access to the account.

I guess that you have administrator privileges on the computer with the account else.

As long as you can log into the account of your son, what follows can operate.  I apologize for the lack of precision - I haven't used Windows 7 for a long time. I work in a faulty memory.  The smile.

    ==========================================================================

You may be able to use account your son to create a new account:

Control Panel > display icon > user accounts > account management > create new account (or similar)

When he complains about permission, give it your password of your original as account administrator access code.   If you do so, create the new account as an administrator account.  Otherwise, create the account anyway you can, go back in after you create the account, select 'Manage' and change the type of an administrator account.  Whenever you are prompted for an admin password, give your password to your old account.

If you can't "create" an account, you may be able to change the account type to your son on an Admin account - you have your original account password; It may be enough to allow you to 'manage' your son's account and change the type of account.  If you can change the account of your son to an administrator account, you can create as many accounts as you want.

    • Once you have a new account of your choice, you can connect to this account.
    • Navigate to where the photos are stored and then copy them to your new account.

    User accounts are located

    C:\Users\Christays (original)

    C:\Users\Christays2 (new)

    C:\Users\Bobbie (son's account)

You can open a window of the Explorer, click C (drive) > click on users >

Search for your old account name > look in pictures

When you find pictures, make sure that you COPY the files and / or images to your new account image folder.  Do not "copy / paste", do not "move" - copy allows to get the pictures and files from the old account to the new account.  Ok?
