C4380 copying or scanning and changing proportions

Hello

I want to copy a few brochures that are not quite A4, slightly shorter and slightly wider. I want to scan or copy using my printer HP C4380 standard A4 size borderless, thus altering the ratio of aspect slightly. I'm running on Windows 7 solutions Center, and he seems to want to maintain the proportions no matter how I set the output size, leaving a border not printed at the end of the page.

Is this possible? How can it be done?

Thank you

David

Hi raycom.

This web page will give you a brief overview of the proportions and some of the limitations you may encounter.

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01499820

To pass some of these limitations, you will want to first analyze the image on your computer and then try to manipulate using third party software like Photoshop Adobe packs.

Until recently the copied PSC 1210, scanned and printed.  It copies is no longer in black & white, or rather when I press the copy button, the scanning starts and the printer prints a blank page.  Without moving anything, I can scan the document (Windows Fax and Scan) and print it using the same PSC 1210 and it prints perfectly.  A color copy prints a few characters in blue/green.  No recent change in hardware or software (other than the Microsoft updates).

    Hi @will-not-copy,.

Maybe the problem is related to the ink, especially the black ink. If I understand your description that you can scan and print again, but you are unable to copy. Copying and scanning use the same hardware components so ideally if we work so should the other. Copy and print using the same ink system so if you can print, you should be able to copy; However, the impression of the computer may produce a composite black, which means that the colors combine to make black, when copying the printer can pull out the black cartridge to produce black. That's what I mean when I say that the problem might have something to do with the he black cartridge.

I would like to print a self-test report to see if the printer hardware can produce black ink in stand-alone mode. To print a report, use the following steps:

    1. Load the plain, white paper into the paper tray.

    Harold, welcome to the forum.

You will need an optical recognition program characters (OCR) to change the text that has been scanned into your computer.  You must ensure that you have installed all the software supplied with the printer.  If there is an OCR software, it will be included.

Here is the Product Specifications page for this.

You can print from your computer?  This is how it normally works.  The printer must have something to print and that something can come from a copy, scan, or your computer, so it seems to me that you do not have a problem.

  • Sending item after I make a copy. Scanning and sending

When I scan an item and you want to send by email, it goes to the point where I type the email address.  A message that flashes on which she connects to the person, I want to send, then it does not cross.  He says that I have to save it and then I'm not.

    How does this work?

    Hello

First, tell us what e-mail program or the client you use for email.

When you scan an image, you should have an option to save this image to your computer. When you click Yes, you do not want to save the image, it should ask you where you want to save it. The best way to ensure that it does not get lost on your hard drive, somewhere, be sure to save in a common place. My suggestion is perhaps to the desktop or to a folder on the desktop.

The next step is to go to your email, create a new message, and then add the image as an attachment.

I hope this helps. Please post back with the results.

With the help of windows xp I can't copy a scan and print

    Hi Muzzik,

You can only print from Web sites?  Have you tried to print just a black paper as that of Notepad?

I think that the best way to start is with the basics on this one.  Here is a link to a document from HP to make a copy on this model.  If these steps do not work, then we can continue.

It looks like you copied a symbol from one image to another, then
"gone in ' and edited this symbol... what you need to do is create a copy
the symbol and change this one instead... IOW...

    step 1:
'symbol1_mc' in the library is duplicated to create 'symbol2_mc '...

    Step 2:
you copy your picture 1 on frame 2 of the timeline just as you did

    Step 3:
Use the properties panel to switch on stage (and the second image)
"symbol1_mc" with "symbol2_mc"... so that you now have 'symbol1_mc '.
    frame 1 and 'symbol2_mc' on frame 2

    Step 4:
    then edit "symbol2_mc".

    Hello 11540.

Try to reset the all-in-one (turn off and on again).

Then try to copy using the control panel buttons, but open the scanner cover to see if the light is turn on. If this isn't the case, then I'm afraid this is a hardware failure and you will need the service unit.

    See you soon!

  • scanning and copying problem

    Hi all

I have an officejet pro 8600. He developed a failure when scanning and copying only. It prints very well. When scanning/copying in black and white I get only a series of black lines vertical, probably 100 or more, arranged like a bar code. When you use the color I get 3 or 4 vertical lines in cyan. I do not hear from the current page scanned/copied. I suspect the scanner itself is faulty, but any help would be received with gratitude.

    Thanks Steve

    Hi Steve.

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

Sorry to hear you have a problem with lines on your Scan and copy.  I got it exactly the same problem with this printer very and I could solve the problem by making a simple step. Now, this will sound a bit crazy and I hope you are open minded.  Plug the power cable directly into a wall... pretty crazy huh?  HP printers have already built in surge protector, and if you have connected it to a power supply/Strip bar, the printer will get all the power it needs to function properly. You are probably currently you are yourself, "Ive always had this printer connected to a strip/Bar and have never had any problems.  Well, let me tell you that you probably had issues with the printer that only they were issues that you would not notice.  Brightness, the screen feel slower, a little more time to get out of the way 'sleep'... that are just a few things that could took place in the Strip bar.  Just so you know I'm not send you smoke signals, this is a document that shows all the questions when it is connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power.  Now, if this does not resolve your problem, I need for you to let me know so that I can give you other possible fixes for this issue.

I'm always here to help then feel free to write again.

Thanks for your time Steve.  Let me know how make you out.

  • HP 5510 Scan and copy is twisted

When I copy or scan on my 5510, the resulting image is twisted - the left the bottom margin is 1 inch to the right of the margin on the left at the top of the screen.  I printed an alignment page (don't not quirky) and scanned the alignment page, but that has not fixed the problem. Any suggestions?

    Hello

It seems that the alignment is fine. I suggest you do a hard reset with the printer. Unplug the laptop in the back of the printer and then on the wall. Once you disconnect the two, wait 30 seconds then plug it back in the printer first, then the wall.

Go ahead and try the scan after the printer turns on.

    Let me know the results.

  • 8500 a duplex scanning and copying

I can't find how to do double sided scaning and copy with the 8500. It is possible at all?

I have the 8500 A909 all-in-one to work and it's pretty simple how to do duplex scanning and copying so I'm not sure if the feature is ' % s ' on the 8500 most recent a.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello

You use A910a or A910g A910n? Open the cartridge on the left front access door to see the model number. If she says A910a or A910g then, those two doesn't support automatic duplex, scan or copy as the document feeder has no duplexer in them

If A910n, check the picture below. For the digitization of the s/w, you can find the setting «scan both sides (duplex)» For the copy, and then in the menu ==> settings copy printer, you can find the option "two sides - two-sided original copy.

  • C5180 scanning and copying the black leaves after Snow Leopard upgrade

the machine prints since Mac perfectly, if there is a little bit slower than before starting and not offering is not the same features, even through an excerpt.

However, scan and copy are leaves only in black.

I made the suggested HP set again which did not improve anything; I looked at downloads of diagnoses, but they do not say that it is compatible with Mac.

Is this problem one leopard snow associated one or is - just that the C5180 is dead?  If it's the snow leopard, can anyone advise me on how to fix it?

If the copy does not work from the front panel, then your scanner is dead.  I'm sorry.
