  S50D-A, a week ago, I bought a Satellite.

  The fan should start to turn and cool devices inside the laptop if the temperature rises to a certain level.
  If the cooling module does not work then it s very risky and not advisable to use the laptop! The processor and/or motherboard can damage!

  The Toshiba laptop uses a Toshiba saver that controls the CPU and cooling for example method.

  Have you tried to recover the laptop back to factory settings?
  Please do... the recovery should always be made to check if the hardware or the software of the laptop is affected.

  I can't view the contents of my screen with Intel Wireless display. I have Toshiba TV that seems to work ok and displays the WiDi welcome screen and all the necessary information.
  On the computer that I have reached the level where I had the TV unit displayed in the application of Intel but no connection was possible because I couldn't type the code from the TV. There is no window asking for it. After that I upgraded all drivers (as advised by Intel support web-page). Now the Intel application can't even find the TV.
  I bought both computer and TV to have this fancy WiDi and now I have my really disappointed. Can anyone help?

  You can use the special function key mode which allows you to use the function keys without pressing the FN key. This can be changed _in BIOS_ (F2->-> Advanced tab-> System Configuration-> special function mode key in BIOS)

  I think that your problem is related to overheating rather than a defective display driver. The idea here is that it takes several attempts to reboot, giving the unit time to cool.
  I suggest that you try to remove all dust and debris from your radiator and see if it improves the stability of your units.

  I recently got my hands on a toshiba Satellite M30-107 laptop second hand and decided to freshen it.
  I used the toshiba recovery disk, but after that the laptop is no longer support windows.

  When turned on it shows booting Toshiba disc for about a second then goes to a screen blank and freezes.
  When turned on, once again, a screen will appear an error by stopping and offer the opportunity to start in SafeMode etc but choose one of the options causes the machine to freeze.

  Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

  Recently my Satellite m70-164 started to freeze after only a few minutes of work. The picture on the screen freezes, and a few seconds later, it becomes completely black.

  I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro R850-15F who gave me four years in refurbished condition and so it is quite old.
  I have recently installed Windows 10 and things seemed to work very well.

  However, last week, I noticed that at least once a day my laptop freezes randomly and immediately the internal fan accelerates, becomes much stronger and a cold air. Whenever this happens, I turned off the laptop and turn it back on it.

  After that, it works normally again until the next time it freezes. I don't know anything about computer hardware, but I suspect that it is a problem of series and I wanted to get some advice in case my laptop is close to dying.

  If anyone has any help or advice or suggestions to solve the problem, then I would be extremely grateful if you would contact me.
