  I tried to configure the network path to a shared folder so that I can scan directly onto my Mac. I followed the instructions:

  -created a shared folder

  -sharing of files for my user name

  -compatible with the SMB and AFP file sharing
  -Full name

  -folder path \\192.168.178.20\Scans (scans of record is in my root)

  -He gave my username and password

  No mather what I try in the path of the folder or the test fails, and I can't scan. What I am doing wrong?

  After 2 hours frustrating to try I finally found it. My Mac has my first and last name as username and contains a space. Rename my full name for 1 Word has solved the problem.

  HP Scanner 3 was working fine with my Mac & 10.7.5 and wireless HP C410 all-in-one, until I installed a new hard drive. After that, I was able to scan directly from the printer, but with fewer options. Today, this just stopped working.

  There are 4 drivers for C410 options: a, b, c and d no indication on my printer what version it is.  Do you know how I can tell?

  I downloaded driver for no. C410a device appears in the list on the installation page.  Before that I have install bad pilot and need to get that out and try the following, any advice?  The installation screen tells me to connect via the USB port.  Then I'll have to change it back to wireless technology. Who is?

  Thanks - I used to uninstall and reinstall my HP drivers on my old printer whenever my printer crashed. I can't believe that this is proving very difficult!

  Still have no idea if I use 3 analysis the way I used to.  At least I can make basic scans.

  I suggest to remove the printer from your printing system, using this document: uninstalling the software of the printer.

  Once you have deleted, I suggest to check and repair disk permissions: function to fix the permissions of all utility disk drive.

  I also run your Apple updates: OS x: Mac App Store apps and OS X update

  After the updates, I recommend you to reinstall the series HP ENVY 4500 full feature software and drivers.

  I'm on V 10.8.5 and just install the 8620 for the first time.  Where the loading area for the documents to be scanned on this printer?  The documents that came in the box do not include an explanation of the features and the diagram.

  Are you talking about load the physical document to analyze? If a stack of pages, use the ADF (automatic document feeder) to the top, put the face of pages up (if it is unilateral). So just a page, or a photo, magazine, etc., something not feeding through the ADF or don't want to go, lift the lid and place it on the glass face downwards.

  Then start the scan on the Mac, or press the Scan button (scan to usb, memory card, to the network folder, or to a computer).

  Hi I might be able to help on your problem.

  Your problem is that the "No. Document loaded" message even if you have a document in the glass. Maybe the settings in the image capture is updated with document feeder. In the screenshot, click on the "Show details" button and check the scan Mode. In scan mode, there are 2 selections Documetn Feeder and flat. If you want to scan using glass, so choose flat. If you want to use the ADF, select document feeder. I hope this helps.

• Photosmart C6188 all-in-one not scan on the mac with OS 10.6.1

  I just bought a new mac with snow leopard and incapable of having the C6188 HP photosmart all in one analysis images on mac.

  I made the mistake of installing the original software which is come with the printer, and then discovered that it does not get. So I uninstalled the software and performed an update to the Apple software.

  I tried according to your publications/announcement about the leopard snow, preferably using system preferences and applications of image capture.  I can print all right, but unable to scan images on mac.  I get the error message is ' year error occurred while communicating with the scanner.  It's the same message that I get from all three applications (preferably, preferences system and capture image).

  I'm glad it's working for you now.  Multiple page in one file is a driver problem.  Sorry, you will need to wait for an update.

  In the meantime, it is very easy to combine pages in a file (pdf) with preview.

  Welcome to the HP Forums!

  I see that you cannot parse a .pdf file on your Mac with your HP Envy 5520, and I'm happy to help you with your scanning problem!

  To get help, I'll need to know:

  1. The version of the Mac operating system. To find the exact version, visit this link. Whatsmyos.
  2. The number of product/model of your printer. Follow the instructions in this link. Find your model number of the HP product.
  3. If the printer is able to make copies.
  4. If the printer is connected, wireless, or USB.
  5. If the power cable is connected to a surge protector, or directly to a wall outlet. Questions when it is connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power. This is true for printers and ink jet.

  Please see this post, want good answers? Ask good Questions, by @Bob_Headrick, then you can get the most out of these forums.

  In the meantime, I recommend trying the following:

  1. Reset the printing system. Mac OS x: how to reset the printing system, if you use the Mavericks, OS X Mavericks: reset the printing system.
  2. Verify and repair disk permissions. 12.x disk utility: repair disk permissions.

• C5180 scanning and copying the black leaves after Snow Leopard upgrade

  Then go to System Preferences > printers & Scanners and double click on the printer, open the parameter tab, then open the HP utility.

  Make sure the Scan of the computer is on, and check for the difference.

• Scan to computer Mac Lion

  I can not scan to the computer.  I have HP Photosmart Plus 210 series.  When I press the scan of the computer there are only options for Windows.  I have the Macbook Pro Lion.  Can anyone help.

  You have a windows PC?

  I would double check and make sure that the software is installed correctly and make sure that you connect to the printer with the USB or wireless.

  It seems that you have not yet activated the printer for the MAC.
