  Hi lake1998,

  When you save a document format, you are talking about OCR or optical character recognition.  The 3512 Deskjet will allow you to save the files analyzed in the formats listed, but it doesn't have a built in OCR.

• OfficeJet Pro L7555 - scanned docs are not saved on hard drive.

  I have uninstalled & reinstalled the new HP/Windows 7 compatible software two times and I still can't scanned docs to save on the hard drive. The analysis process looks like it's going at all stages. Even ask where I want to save the file. Unfortunately, no matter where I save it, there's nothing there. I chose the 'pic to email' option, but it won't send the file to my e-mail program Outlook. Help!

  I found a solution that worked for me on the "Windows 7 & 7310" theme. Here is the solution:

  HP have created a new workaround solution to make it easier to solve this problem.

  All you have to do now is to go on the following ftp site and download and run the exe file.

  This exe will recognize the version of the operating system you are running and put the dll in the right place.

  If you use windows 7, start menu open then choose "all programs" and find "windows fax and scan" and open > then go to the lower left choose scan and then in the main menu, choose "new scan".

  Unfortionately House ePrint and Biz app let you to send the scans as an attachment to e-mail.  I'm sorry for the confusion.

  You can open JPG files with an image viewer.

  A jpeg file is an image, Google can't translate an image.  You must register as a document.

• C6180 scan works very well from the printer to the pc, but hp solution center gives error 4, [(3,42,0)]

  Scan worked fine but after some update (I have not seen that and when) stopped scan from the hp Solution Center. It gives an error 4, [(3,42,0)].

  If I scan directly from the printer, it works fine, even if I send the jpg for the PC images\Mes traverses the directory.

  I already deleted the hp Solution Center and reinstall it using AIO_cda_FSW_Full_Win_WW_130_140.exe

  I'm sorry to hear about your problems with your Photosmart C6180 and Windows 7 scan and notice you receive the error code. I studied the error and found a position with a person with a 'Solution', so hopefully this will help your situation.

  Using HP Scan when scanning to your Mac? If this is the case, I think I know what the problem is! Your Photosmart D110 has no software HP for the 10.9 operating system, so you must use one of the Apple based scanning programs. If you do not know how to analyze without the HP software, please take a look through this document to scan from OS X v10.9 Mavericks without HP for HP Multifunction printers software and it should help.

  If the problem persists with these programs, you may have to reset your printing system, check/repair your disk permissions and re - add the printer before you scan the picture.

  You can use the free online converter.  It will handle most of the formats.

  You can also buy a program that will do almost anything (if you need to convert more files from time to time).  Just click on the links on the left side of the page and take a look.  I've used both the free Converter and I bought a software company - I am pleased with both experiences.

  This link is cool to have around if you want to make your own icons, too.  Feed him a copy of your favorite small jpg file and it will make you an icon file.  The smile.

• scan doc feeder perpendicular black strip.

  My HP Officejet Pro 8630 scans a black band perpendicular Sun BUT only in the doc feeder.  The band is not physically printed on the document when it is scanned.  Charger doc copy perfectly, and scanning flat is perfect.  How can I fix it?  Hope I just clean something.  Curious to know why the driver alone doc - it is not a scanner separated is - this?

  Hello and welcome to the HP support community!

  A black band that appears when the upper tray is used is often due to a tiny grain of dirt or paper that is stuck in the narrow window that is right outside the window flat.  The scanner, camera itself parks in this slot, while the paper feeds past.

  Look for the band to the edge of the bucket.  Use canned air to blow everything that can be stuck there.

  I had this case with my HP AIO printer before and found the answer here on the Forum!

  Something to check - make sure that the PDF file opens with no Adobe Reader and Acrobat or another Viewer POS.
