C850-1CR - recovery problem satellite

I have a laptop that was purchased in June 2013. After the disk check gave errors, make my computer unable to really start up, I decided to do a factory restore. Who got 52 percent, and then got stuck and stopped twice.

I ordered the recovery disk Toshiba, went through the installation, but he kept asking to insert the disc after disc 2 and there are only two.

So I canceled, decided to try again, and now it can't find suitable for Windows support?
It is not even really more the disc 1.

What should I do with this?
It should still be under warranty?

Sorry, I have to say that but main mistake is that you don't l l create a recovery on your own media.
OK, you now have a Toshiba recovery media. To be honest, I can't explain what's wrong here and why recovery installation completes successfully.

You can try it again. Enter the BIOS and set it to the default value. Start your computer with the recovery disc and check how it works. If the same thing will happen again maybe you should contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. Explain the situation and hopefully, they will be able to help.

By the way: what is now with HARD drive? If I understand you good as disk HARD is maybe defective.
Do you get the second HARD drive to test?

    Hi all

my 6 year old Satellite A200-1YO has been replaced by a newer model and I thought to wipe my A200 or reset to the factory settings...

I don't have any drive and that I can remember I never had none.

I went all reset by pressing F8 at startup, go into the Advanced Boot Options and
    clicking on repair computer,.

I went into the system, selected Recovery Options a provision on keyboard, and then on the login screen,

    I then connected with my password and got a screen showing the following 6 options;

    1. Startup Repair
2 system restore (similar to the option in the control panel)
    3 Windows complete PC Restore
    4. Windows Memory Diagnostic tool
    5. command prompt
6 restore the full Windows operating system

I assumed that no. 6 was for me, but it seems to need a disk, (my DVD-rom is not working, but I have an external one I can use)

I went in the other option, but I am at a loss,

I thought this would be easy watching videos of Youtube, but for the most part, they advise pressing 0 (zero) at the beginning who does not work for me...

  • Recovery problem Satellite L505-110 Win 7 64 bit

    Hello

I have a laptop Toshiba L505-110, Windows 7 64 bit Turkish and he began to slow down recently, so I want to recover windows 7, but in some Turkish forums, guys who have tried recover like that, facing a problem.

The problem is that Windows 7 has been set up on the computer as a 32-bit.
I had not given a dvd of the operating system of W? ndows 7 64-bit and he said that we could easily do our own recovery DVDs using toshiba recovery media creator.

I made 2 recovery DVDs, but now I'm afraid that I have Windows 7 32 bit if I recover Windows.
I bought this computer because it had windows 64-bit and I paid the price if I want to continue with it again...
It has been a year since I bought my PC.

What should I do to recover my operating system such as Windows 7 64-bit again?

Thank you very much for your answers.

    Hello

The operating system was preinstalled is WIN7 64-BIT HOME PREMIUM & you also got the 32-BIT DVD
Therefore, if you create the recovery disc, then the disc should contains Win 7 64 bit.

I think you should just grab the laptop using the recovery disk created and I think that the 64 bit, Win 7 must be installed.

I think that sascha means that you press the 0 key start to begin the recovery procedure.
You must press this button after you have switched on the laptop.

I m not sure if it s is available but try it and you will then see whether or not the recovery starts.

  • Satellite C850-13F - collection problem

    Hello

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite C850-13F purchased as new and system recovery problems.

It came pre-installed with Windows 7 - foolishly, I forgot my Windows password. Then someone I know think they would help me and installed Windows 8 (a trial version) on this laptop.

I don't like any of Windows 8 and want to remove it. I'll reset everything to factory with Windows 7 settings, etc.

I would be very happy for any help or advice to achieve this. Thank you very much.

Did you create the recovery disk / way in the past to make this recovery process?

If not, visit this page and there you will be able to order this support:
    http://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

The recovery media will set the laptop in the same condition as at the first day of the purchase.

  • How to get the recovery for Satellite L100 bought in China cd?

I just buy a satellite L100 in China, the language of windows is Chinese... How can I change the language to Chinese to English on my windows. Or how can I get thecd recovery for satellite L100 innglish language... Thank you...

    Hi Santo

If you use the advanced search of this forum you will find a lot of comments on a similar theme!

In any case, I'll explain it once more ;)
Usually the recovery CD, you can get the Toshiba ASP. BUT you bought the laptop in China. In this case you will not be able to order the CD image of Toshiba in the English language. You can only get a restore CD in the same language, where you bought the laptop.

But if you want to have the English language operating system, install the Windows from the original CD of Microsoft English.
You can download Toshiba drivers and utilities form the Toshiba site and install it.

You can go to a local ASP and request a new or order you one directly from Toshiba.

the link posted by Ilay works. Check again.
It describes how to perform a HARD drive recovery. I guess this is necessary since the system cannot be repaired using the automatic repair procedure

    AFAIK you can't do much.

  • Satellite A100-803 - Vista recovery problem

    Hello

I upgraded the RAM and HDD on a Satellite A100-803 and when I restore Windows Vista from the recovery disk process is going very well, but after restarting windows says that "Windows Setup could not set up Windows on this s material.

I think that the problem is listed here.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2466753/en-us.

But the problem is that I can't change the RAID setting in the BIOS, and during the installation of recovery, I'm not able to add the additional drivers needed.
The new drive is a WD 500 GB driver (WD5000BPVT)

How can I solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance
    Pau

    Hello

First I put t think its BIOS problem.
    The laptop doesn't support RAID.

I think the problem is the size of your new HARD drive. Upgrade of the disk HARD 500 GB and its larger than the original HARD drive equipped in A100.

The point is that a recovery disk automatically creates the partitions on the HARD disk, but due to the size of the disk HARD the size of the partitions would be different also.
I think that you won't have the same problems to install Vista or Win 7 using the Microsoft disk

  • Recovery with Satellite L300 problem

I have a problem trying to restore my laptop Toshiba Satellite L300 to factory settings back!

OK so basically, my laptop Toshiba Satellite screwed up and I even turn the thing!
After a while, I was able to 'Restore factory settings' and then after typing my name and my Pc name etc., and after the latter had analyzed what it scans, it says "step 2: finish Prcoess Installation may take several minutes.» Do not interrupt or stop ' or or whatever it says...

Anyway, I don't know, but it seems to be stuck on this screen! I left it for like 30/40 minutes and it always did, so I turned it off by the button. Now when I turn it on, I can't do anything until there finishes this installation, but when I try to leave it, it doesn't do anything!

    Help, please!

    Additional details
I don't have a recovery disc! I restore or retrieve or another of the original on the HARD drive when you press F8 at startup to the top

    Any help appreciated

    Thank you, Andy

    Hello Andy

Unfortunately there is not some sort of magic bullet. A recovery facility works or not and there is no way to make it work somehow.

What you can do is to start the installation of recovery even once, if possible. Please do so and send feedback.

To be honest I don t understand why you didn't create Toshiba Recovery DVD s advice. If something goes wrong with the HARD drive or HARD drive recovery image can not be used you will be able to use recovery DVD for installing the OS.

  • Satellite Pro C850 - missing Recovery Media Creator

I recently bought a C850 Pro Satellite and, after update to Windows 7 and everything defining the way I like it, I tried to create a recovery media.

However, when I click on Recovery Media Creator in the programs, the file 'TRMCLcher.exe' is not found. In fact, I can't find anywhere on the computer.

In the directory C:/Program Files/Toshiba/Toshiba Recovery Media Creator, there is an app called "toRDC.exe" but it does not.

Someone has ideas how to get creator of Meda recovery to run? D rather avoid the hassle to use the recovery option of hard drive partition to return to factory settings if possible, especially as I doubt m Recovery Media Creator works even in this case, I have seen ve not deleted or modified files with the program.

Grateful for any help, thank you.

Take a look at this page:
    http://www.MyToshiba.com.au/support/computers/Satellite/Pro/C850/pskc9a-00t019/download?OS=25

Here, I could find the Toshiba Recovery Media Creator for Win 7 64 bit for download.
Of course, if you need 32-bit version, you must change the settings in the upload form.

  • Power to the Satellite C850-1 kN problem

    Dear friends,

I'm Belgian and I received a call a few weeks ago desperate to an English friend (she's a student).
His laptop computer Toshiba Satellite C850-1 kN 15 months old did not illuminate. No sign of life anymoe...

Much to my surprise the standard warranty period is only 1 year in England (in Belgium and in many European countries, it is 2 years).
And of course that she should have taken an extended warranty, I would have told him (and now she realizes that too of course).

So she send it to me...

For the problem itself, I tied each thing on feeding issues (power reset by pressing the powerbutton for a minute, replacing the power brick, etc., etc., I even checked the current arriving on the motherboard, and it's ok...).

What surprises me is that I find so many references to power with Toshibas (and very little real solutions...) problems.

My friend treats his laptop very well, it looks brand new, I find such a pity to throw the laptop (even for ecological reasons).

A portable well-treated should operate for 4-5 years, at least..., and a decent society should not allow to happen, not even out of warranty (at least not after 15 months).

As you know that these laptops are not cheap (especially for a student...)

Can someone give me some advice (on the warranty or any technical suggestion...).

Thank you very much for your support (and for reading this!).

    Kind regards
    William

    Hello

Obviously some serious hardware problem has occurred, and from my point of view of a few any material part could cause this problem.
I guess that the parts as modules of memory, motherboard so that the CPU may be affected, I assume that it is not possible to say what s wrong here without touching the laptop.

My laptop did lights not because one of the slots on the motherboard was faulty.
After that I removed one of the modules, the unit may be turned on.

One of my friends could not use the laptop because of the failure of memory. Two modules are dead at the same time the two parts have been replaced and unit still works so far

As you can see, the material can start to malfunction it is nothing unusual in the world of large computing
So what I will say; I think laptop engineer should check the hardware parts after you can decide whether you want to repair
