  Hey guys, I was working this morning on my laptop until suddenly it crashed and closed. I thought it was nothing then I restarted and everything began to start. Windows Recovery skipped upward, so I chose to start windows normally thinking nothing of it.   I bought a portable Toshiba, Satellite L500D-163, two days ago.

  Windows 7 and Ubuntu Linux 10.04, the Wireless does not work. It shows all the available wireless network neighborhood, including mine, but it connects to my network.

  I placed the Toshiba laptop side by side with my Acer laptop and tried all the options:

  Try to press Fn + F9 to toggle the Touchpad. Also take a look in the BIOS, the touchpad can be disabled it. Also try to uninstall the software for your mouse USB mouse (if you have installed everything), this software can cause a conflict.

  You should check if it is enabled in the settings of the touchpad.

  If the battery is not empty, the laptop must turn on without the power adapter connected.

  I have windows vista 64 bit, which worked well until the last windows update and now wait for 7 to 10 minutes before the commissioning is complete.  I have received information from a previous question and followed the instructions to check the programs that can slow down the process.  It doesn't matter what programs I have disable the startup process is still slow.  I noticed that Norton anitvirus does not run on start up and shuts off when I check on the Security Center.  Is this the cause of the problem - there was a conflict with the last update?

  I have a L500D (I got it for about 2 months now) and yesterday I realized that my webcam did not work properly even if it worked just fine a couple of days.

  Here's the problem: when I turn it on (via Skype or through application of camera web toshiba), the colors are reversed: it's exactly like I had added an effect on the image as 'Posterize' or 'threshold '. Everything is bright, grainy, saturated...

  I tried in low light and high, and the night mode is not on.
