Cadence composition 24 or 23.976

Hi all, I searched online for a clear answer to this, but have not been able to get a firm answer - probably because there are so many scenarios that require unique approaches.  But here's my question:

I am creating an After Effects animation which will be 1920 x 1080 for presentation festival of film and distribution online, Blu - Ray, DVD, etc..  It was only in animation, so I'm not need match the frame rate.  So the question is, can I build my initial project with the settings of composition of 24 frames per second, or 23.976 fps, or is it still important?  A project built at 24 fps will make out easily to 23.976 for bluray, or is it better to start implementing model 23.976? Could I also well build the comp at 29.97 FPS, then just go out to different cadences of SOUL without significant problems?

I would use 23.976, especially if it happens in Blu - Ray.   I bet that 23.976 would work at festivals, but first check!  They should have delivery characteristics.  The web doesn't care; It's about rate of weft-agnostic, so it is not interlaced and progressive.  That would be bad for the web.

I can not change the frame rate of 12 fps. I worked around it by doubling, or even to slow down clips of 2.5 x just to match animations I do this with the rest of my comps movement. In fact, it is really stupid. Why you would not be able to change the frame rate? I can't find anywhere to do this.

  • Exactly how AE does not distribute the images in the scenario of a composition of 29.97 FPS?

This issue is out of curiosity. I always wondered how this works because from what I see, a composition with a framerate of 29.97 FPS will have just 30 frames per second for every second on the timeline. Will it ever really a second on the timeline with 29 pictures in to compensate for the gap of 0, 03-framework? If not, then how is the resolved variance? Is the way the calendar displays images not 100% about how reliable they are actually distributed through time? Looks like this will have to be a 'yes '. But then how not problems of this?

For example, if you want to have something to display a timer that counted in seconds right , helps manufacturers of second on the timeline would be inaccurate? Even if there is a second image 29 somewhere on the timeline to compensate for the difference of 0, 03 - fps, there still are many executives who have proved align perfectly seconds entire on the timeline, but in reality they would line up with them. So I guess that follow-up question, I, it is the timeline a accurate watch accurate actually seconds or frames in 29.97 FPS scenario? According to my way of thinking, one of them can be quite correct, whereas it is? (After asking this, I thought about the time value to the output text and look to see what is displayed when the playback head is a brand of second whole.) It showed a whole, second value for all those that I checked, and so this means that the timeline is exact frames, not seconds)

Let me explain. This is going a little long so let me first start by saying that no. frames are lost, mixed or deleted when you run at 29.97 FPS. The only thing that changes is how you count frames. This info will be part of a forthcoming White Paper on my new Web site.

What color television came the engineers needed to add a few lines in the removal of a TV signal part to send the color information. It is called color burst. The number of new lines that they needed a pris.03 seconds to add to the signal. Since all countries that run 60 Hz electricity works at 60 Hz, and television at the time was intertwined with a pair of even and odd scan lines form a framework so rather than expedite the time it took to draw each scan line was decided to reduce the rate of 29.97 FPS to keep things running at an even multiple of 60 cycles. This would keep old black and white televisions works without problem. Change the time it took to paint a line of scanning would be lack of things for older sets. Country PAL found a better way to add color information using some existing lines which were not used for anything else so they eliminated the problem.

What's meaning? They had to slow the pace because they needed to add a few lines to the color TV signal would know where they were supposed to show the program in color. The largest number of lines still had to adapt to 60 cycles, so if you have added several lines, you reading fewer frames per second.

Now, here's the problem. How you count this odd number of images and make it work with a real-time clock. Fall time frame was the solution. Drop Frame timecode does not diminish the frames, it just is not all because when the standard broadcast half-hour is 28 minutes, nobody's going to care about a missing image number... NOTE: I did not lack a framework.

I tell him again. NO frameworks are never fallen or crushed or shortened in any application that is used to change or manipulate the video. The only thing that happens is that some numbers of chassis jumped so the hours, minutes, and seconds displayed on the timer is always accurate.

You can get funky what happens with individual images or fields when you put images of 24 frames per second of a film in a video sequence of 29.97 FPS - but they worked already. The same thing happens when you add pictures PAL to NTSC program. When images of 24 fps are put in a PAL 25 fps video format they just play back a little faster so they don't have to do a funny interpolation.

We will return to the time display in your AE timeline when you have a 29.97 (or the standard fractional rates as 59.94 or 23.976) default display time should be Drop frame that removes picture numbers that it counts, but does not diminish the frames. With DFTC (indicated by the; between hours, minutes and seconds) is used when the chronology said 30 minutes, then it will take 30 minutes exactly for your video playback. You can check this for yourself by browsing through a timeline with a Drop Frame timecode display one image at a time. Select the window timecode and top to 10000 (1 minute no seconds without frames) you will find yourself 0; 00; 59; 28 step forward of an image to get to 0; 00; 59; 29; and then a framework more far and end up at 0. 01; 00; 02 no frames were dropped, only the chassis of 0 numbers; 01; 00; 00 and 0, 01; 00; 01. the time displayed is correct in the duration of an image, that doesn't make much difference when you deal with a minute, but it makes a huge difference if you're dealing with an hour.

There is an option for the Non-goutte time frame, but both practices, it is useless because the Timekeeping in the timeline panel is always bad. More the program error. Fall time frame gives you the exact time with a maximum error of a frame and a half. In the one hour show, you're out of 4 seconds. It is not significant for a youtube video, but it would be disastrous for network programming.

You can check it out yourself. Start a new comp and the duration 1 hour. Add a solid layer and then press o to move the out point and you will see that the timecode is 0, 59; 59; 29 images. Do not get confused here because he said not 1 hour. Don't forget that the last image needs to continue to play for the program to stop because the CTI stops on the last visible image. Now, hold down the Ctrl/Cmnd key and click on the time indicator in the timeline and you'll see 107891 frames. A word of caution, if you look at the display of the time code and that you change the layout or project of frame drip not part time you will change the length of the composition and the number of images.

Now, go to the project settings in earlier versions or to the Composition settings in the latest versions and select Non Drop Frame timecode display. Check the chassis numbers - they are exactly the same. Now Ctrl/Cmnd click the time indicator again and you will see 0:59:56:11 - If you were creating an hour long program and that you had the timecode set to image not to drop your program you would like to add about 4 seconds to your program. Imagine your surprise when he played on television and the last 4 seconds was cut off.

  • TIFF sequence: 30 frames per second instead of 23.976 - a problem?

When I imported a Tiff in AE sequence, he came to the default 30 FPS - and I have not noticed. I'll use the rendered output in a project from creation to 23.976.

The tiff sequence is actually a scan of a Super 8 film running at 18 frames per second. In AE I time it distorted 75% (18/24 = 0.75). It seems to me that it doesn't matter what fps I use AE, as long as I have the Time Warp correct factor.

I guess in the first, I simply interpret the images to 23.976 and everything will be fine. But just in case I missed something, I thought I would check here.

response of chrisw44157881 and the idea of application in time, and then by time accomplish nothing and may eventually give you frames that are more of a mess. This shows a lack of understanding of the functioning of these effects and the rendering pipeline.

I would try to explain. I'll use screenshots. Here is a model with a film of 18 fps in a 23.976 model. The film is 2 seconds long and the comp is 2 seconds long. The times correspond exactly.

ICT is set to 1 second. My goal is to make the additional images and fill in the missing query any way I can do is to define the interpretation of the images to match the model. This makes the images too short and requires that I have do the stretching of time, time remapping or time distortion. Is there an easier way to much to do that I should have explained the first time. I'll do it now if you don't have to read the rest of the post.

The easy way and the best way to get unique images of filmed at a different rate is to interpret the images just as he was shot, which in this case is of 18 fps and drop in a model that is on the rate you want to use for your project. In the case of 23.976. To create new images, you can try to turn on frame blending first to see what this will give you. Then you can try moving the pixels. Then, you can disable these two and apply Timewarp. The default settings for time warp for vector detail and smoothing are almost exactly the same that the displacement of the pixels, so you will need to increase these parameters if you want better results. All you have to do is to set keyframes for the image of the source instead of using the time to get Timewarp to work properly. If you set your timeline on frames instead of timecode, it is easy to get the total number of images of your film. That's all there is to it.

If your intention is to maintain the original speed of the clip and just better generate additional images, that's all that is needed.

This shows the clip played at the same rate as the comp with stretch time and interpolation:

It is images interpreted at 18 frames per second with the ITC on the same chassis with interpolation switched on. It's exactly the same thing.

It's time to try the displacement of pixels. It gives me a better interpretation of the frameworks I want but it gives also some weird jaggy lines to mobile star:

There is no adjustment for the displacement of the pixels. He did a great job on some aspects of the movement, but in this case, it doesn't quite work.

chrisw44157881 idea of using Time Warp to create a bunch of new frameworks and then extending using stretch of tine will not give you unique images without interpolation or displacement of the pixels lit, you will give the ghosting that you would get with just on interpolation and introduce the vector objects that you get with the movement of the pixels in this scenario. The end result is a gain of zero. You are better off and will get made faster if you come to use Timeworn and get details of the vector and softness like light to give you the best unique images. As soon as you add TimeStretch or time-remapping and turn on moving pixels takes you back to the same thing you get with default Timeworn that will not work well on certain types of motion in the frame.

So now, here's the really amazing part. If you work in Premiere Pro, interpret the images he is shot, drop the images into a sequence of 23.976 images and select speed/duration time interpretation flow optics or interpolation you will have new unique mounts exactly the same thing you get in AE. It takes about 10 seconds and you're ready to change or make your project. The only reason that I would never treat a clip like the one you work in AE using Timewarp is if there is any movement that everything has not look right or otherwise seen full-screen at speed.

So in summary, if you want to maintain in real time with your film sure that interpretation corresponds to the frame rate. If your model or your sequence is a different cadence that your images and select interpolation or Pixel motion to AE or interpolation, or Optical flow in Premiere Pro using the speed setting and check a test to return to playback full screen in real time. If the movement looks good, then you are finished. If there is movement artifact problems try Timewarp in AE or Twixtor if you can afford, or one of the Borris effects. If none of these work for you then you will just have to live with the duplicate images that 90% of your audience will never see.

  • Compositions of understanding with different pace

    Hey everybody,

I work with AVCHD video with a rate of 25.

If she drops my film in a new composition after affects sets all

    up automatically.

I would now like to what is happening to my avchd clip if I change the frame rate

of my compostion of 25-24. What excatly is happening on the frame

missing? AE just get rid of it?

Does make a difference if I just changed my settings from 25 to 24 model

or if I drop my comp 25 in a new one with 24.

She thinks the opposite, if I change my rate of 25 to 50,

Does this mean that AE double the frames of my files?

In general, the changes have no impact on the speed of my images?

I'm looking forward to your reply. Very much appreciated.

    Best,

    Alex

PS: this indictment for first Pro as well?

When you create a layer in a composition, and this layer is based on a video footage item, the composition of cheques to each frame of the composition to see (example) the element sequence data. If there is not a single image of the data of the element of film that aligns exactly with the framework of the composition, then the composition of the samples of executives of the images of each side and executes one of several things: it can simply choose one of the two frames, or it can simply mix together, or he can do something much smarter and try to reconstruct the image that would have existed between the two frames. What he does depends on what interpolation setting you use.

When you use a piece of film that has a rate that is higher than your publication and the two rates are relatively high, you don't need to worry about this at all, because the default settings tend to work perfectly.

To summarize, the cadence of the right composition changing how often the composition samples data of the image of the film element. It does nothing for the point sequences mmee and does not affect how fast the video of this film playing in a layer.

To interpret a film as being another frequency, or to comply with an element of film at a frame rate, you use the dialog box interpret footage.

  • How can I edit HTML source in the composition?

I often compose emails that contain bulleted or numbered lists multi-level, images and other elements inserted. Sometimes, Thunderbird fails to go down to the correct list between paragraphs or breaks, or it crashes or removes the part of my message when inserting an image. I found workarounds, but it would be helpful to me if I could see the HTML code and manually change in composition, as I can with the received messages (view > Message Source). I have not yet found a way to do this.
Otherwise, I could compose the message in Dreamweaver and copy it into my e-mail, but I could create some tags that are not supported by Thunderbird.
Please suggest how I can edit the HTML code before sending my message.
    Thank you
    -Richard

A quick way is to select the body of the message (Ctrl-A to select all), then insert/HTML. Alternatively, use an add-on like EditHtml. As you suggest, copy html to an external editor is likely to cause problems.

  • Registration of composite clip - how?

Just getting started with FCP - X and have encountered a problem trying to save just one effect that I created (composite?) that uses several masks to remove the text.

OK, so I need to put this in order to duplicate and repeat and maybe use elsewhere.  How to save him?  I tried Control/R, but am unable to reproduce this short clip.  It's a windmill, and I want it turn for a while, so I need to have several clips with the mask, and I also want to use later as this clip.  I can't get it.  Heck!  (and help!)

I could easily do with former NLE - render just clicked and the file is there.

Used to be able to edit messages - where is this option?

  • rendered savings composited files

Hi, I'm migrating from iMovie, FCP - x 10 soon and spent time getting used to iMovie, which I see is a kind of final cut PRO - X version lite, or "limited" as it used to be called.  iMovie follows Cinestream, a versatile program, deep NLE editing style I have used for years, which ended in OS9 and are only SD, as well as his age.  However, one thing I need to know about FCP - X, which apparently cannot be done in iMovie, must be able to save a rendered composition.  By composition, I mean a sequence involving several in the form of images, (multi split screen), titles, effects, you name, often involving multiple tracks and then made into a file.  The object must be able to move this file later with any other similar complex renderings - IE, change them without having to re - create the brand-new everywhere.

The only way I can see happening is to make the entire timeline (cannot make individual sections of iMovie - or can I?)  And I'm leaving the PCF - X is richer in features to allow registration of the various sections composed as renditions files... like I used to do in the old program.

Sorry if this is too complicated,

    Thank you

  • Apple Watch SS composite rear stripes?

My Apple Watch is 1 months old tomorrow.  I like it.  I have protected the watch face with armorsuit screen protector.  The watch is mainly on my wrist or in the charger and not where elsewhere.

But I notices that there are all these fine scratches on the face of the composite rear sensor.  They are not so bad now, but I guess that they could begin within a year that affect the sensor readings.

I guess the charger could do that.  I saw someone post a vid on how to put some on the charger fine Microfiber cloth.  I can try this to keep scratches to worsen.

But the scratches on the back side can be polished?  And if so, how?

    Hi Bob

Use to ensure that your watch keeps all the features, Apple does not recommend polishing he or she polishing with abrasives.

It is also risky to put anything between the back of the watch and the charger. (Even accidentally leaving the thin plastic wrap, original on the charger may cause problems with the load).

To avoid additional scratches, rather clean the back of your watch - and also the surface of charger - before loading your watch. In doing so, don't forget to follow the instructions from Apple for the cleaning of your watch and charger (including using a non-abrasive, lint).
