  Pages are likely alignment pages.  When a new cartrdige is installed the printer will print an alignment page which should be placed on the scanner glass and press the button of scan to complete the alignment process.  If the alignment is not complete it will repeat when the printer is powered suite or maybe at the end of print jobs.

  Hi, I am running OS X 10.8 on my Macbook Pro, and I'm having problems with connecting to a C8100 all-in-one. I easily connected the printer via bluetooth, added to printers and confirmed that it is connected through preferences, etc. I managed to get the printer to process a job, but only by extreme measures. The problem that I am facing is that whenever I have send a job to the printer to process, I can see in the print queue window that there is another job that appears first of all - something in the sense of 'Ink levels check in progress' or something, and if I leave this job to deal with for more than a second or two the printer queue window no longer recognizes the printer as connected. A drop-down list error message pops up that says "this printer is in offline mode", and none of the print jobs I sent manually are treated. In the window "Print and Fax", he also says that the printer is "in use, default", when he previously said it was "slowed down, by default. The weird thing is when I used shortcut keys programmed to accept immediately the print job from Microsoft Word (just a text document) and then quickly cancelled the process of "Ink levels", the printer does not show as disconnected and the print job has gone through.

  So, I managed to do that work, but with a lot of problems and solutions of fortune between the two. Is there a reason why the printer and the computer can do that? All the ink levels are fine, maybe because of the ink not under warranty more? I do not know. Any help would be appreciated.

  The question that you see is because the communication channel Bluetooth with a printer is treated as an 'exclusive' resource on Mac OS. This means that if a process (the upgrade of ink script) got a hold of it, all other processes (including the pilot trying to print your work) cannot use it.

  Then, go to settings > network > IP settings > change to the manual.

  Once it is replaced by the manual, it should allow the IP address, default gateway and the subnet mask.  Use the subnet mask and default gateway of the print network configuration.  Use an IP address that is not in use on the network.  You can change the last number of the IP address on the print.  For example, 192.168.1.50 could be converted to 192.168.1.250.

  Setting a static IP address on the front panel does not set servers DNS which is necessary for ePrint operate on this printer.  Now that the static IP address has been set on the front panel of the printer, try to access the SAP by entering the IP address that comes to be defined in a browser address bar.  If the printer load, you should be able to set DNS servers and be ready to go from there.

  I bought the adapter USB - Bluetooth BT-500 HP and it works perfectly with my printer HP Pro 8500 all in one (not wireless).

  Just plug it into the USB port on the printer and discover via your laptop or another bluetooth device. I was printing within 30 seconds with my Dell Vostro laptop computer (Windows 7 Pro / 32-bit).

  My guess is that the all-in-one printer 8500 being offfered in a wireless version, no wireless units are Bluetooth "ready" or "capable".  It is probably the case with the other printers 'compatible '.

  Hope this helps someone down the line.
