Can I disable devices that can print on my printer wireless

Hello

I have a device on another network without wire connected to my printer.  How can I disable it to print on my printer... Thank you

Hello asiyamerchant,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

If I understand, you have a printer connected to a network, a device on another network, and you want to disable the ability to print from the device. It seems that you have Setup on the printer ePrint and ePrint (Emailing the printer) use the device to print. It's the only way I know that for a device to print to a printer that is not on the same network.

If this is correct, that you will be able to connect to HPConnected.com, click on devices, click the setting (for the printer) and edit the list of senders.

Let me know if I was on the same page as you.

Hi, when I go to the IP Address of my printer and go to the part of wireless configuration, I can print the wireless test report. However, when I then go to print anything else from my computer, nothing happens. My computer recognizes the printer, and the installation program went well. • DeskJet 3050 j610a - new router; no longer can print wireless.

Hi all. Am 66 & new to computers and the forums. I'll try to be brief, but I want to describe my problem as precisely as possible. I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite C655, HP3050 j610a printer wireless, Windows 7, 32 bit OS and Google Chrome is my browser. For the past 2 years I had wireless printing problem with my Westell 7500 router. Then my ISP (Verizon) gave me a D-Link 2750 B. My laptop connected to the internet via my wireless right now, but the impression is only possible via the USB port.

Reads the error message: "your printer could not join the wireless network - Mac address filtering can be enabled on your wireless router. (I checked & it is not). Then I printed a wireless network Test report and the header reads as follows: "your HP printer cannot find your access point. Verify that your access point is turned on. Make sure that your network (SSID) HP printer name exactly matches your network name of the access point (SSID). If they do not exactly match, run wireless network setup to set up your HP printer. In addition, under the Diagnostics summary, it reads: 'Network Name (SSID) Found = FAIL.

What I've tried so far: uninstall & reinstall all of the HP software (Via the website of hp), router cycle power & printer, printer reset to factory, looked inside the router & all seems OK. I did a search on Google for this problem and got more confusing and complicated explanation I was looking for... all the way to subnet masks; whatever it may be. I'm at the point now (and please correct me if I'm on the wrong way) I think I should try manually turn on the network news in the printer or get an IP printer. Neither of which I know how to do.  Is there a way to look inside my printer settings I look inside my router settings... and how?

In my opinion, it has become much more complicated than necessary and I'm probably overlooking the obvious here. Any help would be greatly appreciated, but please respond to me as if I was in 3rd grade! (Although as a student of 3rd would probably have figured this out already)!

    Thank you

    Larry

You can look in the printer for the first time after it has been reset only.

On the front of the printer: Wireless > default settings.  Now, on your PC connect wireless network printer that starts with "HP."... »

Print a network Test Wireless in the menu on the front of the printer wireless to get its IP address.  Type the address in the browser address bar to reveal the internal settings of the printer.

  • I can print wireless without network

I have a laptop wireless active and you bought an Officejet 6000 wireless printer.  Can I connect the printer and the laptop wireless and printing than wat WITHOUT network?  I can't connect in this way.

I have the OfficeJet 6000 put in place in the Ad - Hoc network.  Here is a link to the article from HP do.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01131593
You can follow this, but on step 6 you will need to do which will allow your printer.  For the 6000 I had to select Configure device wireless in the software then he plug the USB and follow insrtuctions.  I had to manually put in the HPSETUP as the name of the network because he could not find it.  But then he went through the installation process and it works.  On this printer, I couldn't change the name of the network, as I like to.  I tried once, but he returned to the HPSETUP anyway it works.  I hope this helps.

  • I have a PC attached to a printer.  I can print wireless from my MacBook Air on this printer?

Hello.  I have a netbook Samsung, attached to a printer with a sub cable.  I would like to print from my MacBook Air. Is there a way to do this. I use pro printer to print although my PC from my iPad. Is there something similar for the MacBook?

Yes, I print over wi - fi on a connected Brother printer which is connected by a cable to a Dell computer with no problems (other than the argument sometimes the Dell must be powered mode and not "sleep"). There is no special software required on one computer other than the normal printer drivers. The following may help: OS X El Capitan: to connect to a printer shared by a Windows computer

    Hello

    Please try the steps below...

    1. While the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
    2. Wait 60 seconds.
    3. Plug the power cord printer directly to a wall jack (bypass surge / power strip) and then to the printer.
    4. Now, make a copy.
    5. If the problem persists, select SETUP (wrench) > tools > Restore Factory Defaults
    6. Wait 30 seconds and then try to make a COPY.
    7. If the problem persists, open the lid of the scanner, and then press black COPY. Check if the scan transport moves and it's on.
    8. Transport scan is not turned on or move in all, then its time to replace the printer.

  • Can't print wireless on windows 8

    Original title: Driver not available

Had some internet problems and when I finally got fixed I could not print wirelessly from my desktop even if they were on the same network.

I went to remove the device and re install but I couldn't because as the "pilot was not available.

I tried to download a new driver twice and it still doesn't work.

    Suggestions?

    Hi Devinnn,

Thanks for posting the question on the Microsoft Community Forums.

According to the description, it seems that you are facing a problem when accessing the printer wireless on your computer.

This problem may occur because of damaged or missing printer drivers

    ,

It would be great if you could answer these questions to help you more

    1. What is the make & model of the computer?
    2. Do you receive an error message or error code, while accessing the printer?
    3. What is the brand and model of the printer?
    4. Are you able to connect other devices outside the printer wireless?

I would suggest trying the following methods and check:

Method 1:   I suggest you ping IP address of the printer and check if you have found the answer for the same thing.

    Ping the wireless printer steps:

    • Windows key + X and select prompt (Admin)
    • In the command prompt window, type ping (IP address) and press on enter and check if packets are received.

    If the problem persists,

Method 2: Run the printer Troubleshooter and check.

    Open the printer Troubleshooter: http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/printer-problems-in-Windows-help#fix-printer-problems=Windows-8&V1H=win8tab1&V2H=win7tab1&V3H=winvistatab1&v4h=winxptab1

  • connect a printer wireless - need 2.4 ghz band of timecapsule

    Hello

I am trying to print via WiFi wireless and my new printer says that it cannot connect to a 5 GHz signal.  It can only connect via 2.4 ghz.  Can configure my TimeCapsule for dual band?  While I can print wireless?

I appreciate any help!  Thank you! Gracias!

    I am running the following:

    MacBook Pro (to 2011)

    El Capitan OSX 10.11

    TimeCapsule (to 2009)

    Printer: HP ENVY 4520

Can configure my TimeCapsule for dual band?

A Capsule of 2009 may or may not be a simultaneous dual-band model.  To find out what exactly what you might have, please look on the bottom of the time Capsule to locate the model number. Probably, it is integrated in the base of carpet of MOSS.

The model number starts with an 'A' follow-up of four digits. Post back with number and we will continue.

  • Cannot use our new HP Photosmart B210e printer wireless with HP ePrint server.

We bought a new printer HP B210e for our House to be able to print wireless smartphones, laptops and desktop. The first problem was that our main office, which is about 3 years old and under XP would not find the wireless printer. I contacted HP and after several hours, they changed my desktop to be able to see the printer. Alongside this, they configure the printer to have a fixed ip address.

It worked well, but I still cannot print from the photo tray. My wife's office has also had the same problem, but we will stop using this office. Not something we want, but she has a laptop computer.

The main feature that we wanted to use had to be able to send an e-mail to our printer through the HP eprint center. Who has worked on the first day, we have signed, but has not worked since. It seems that our printer cannot connect to the HP eprint center at all. We can send e-mail to our printer through the eprint server. We can see that the e-mail message has reached the server, but the server cannot transfer the email of the printer. We check the Setup wireless on our printer and it is correctly connected to our home network and I can print wireless from my office.

We're fast approaching the decision of the printer to where we bought it. We do not want to, but have no choice unless we can understand how to print from our smart phones.

So I ask for help with the printer or a recommendation on which printer you can buy that actually work on our network wireless home. I tried to find what printer is best for this purpose on the Internet but find that there, the information is just too complicated for us to make a decision.

PS: I see too many complaints about the HP ePrint Center, but very little about HP trying to fix or even acknowledge that they have a problem. I think they do!

I can't comment on the ePrintCenter (maybe it's temporarily down?) but I know that your printer is capable of printing from an iPhone or an iPad... your smartphone you happens to be an iPhone 3GS or 4? If so, you can use the last iOS4.2 that supports AirPrint and print directly to your printer. As long as your iPhone and your printer are both connected to the same network, that is. I hope this helps.
