  In Oracle 11.2, it might be cleaner to have a virtual column (indexed).

  HSS privs ends at the level of the App. This is normal.

  For this recommended reason for never Hyperion (and after that Oracle) only have that one database per App.

  The best way to accomplish what you want to get is to follow the best practice advice.

  So in your case, it would make sense to create a new application (for example "Sample_x", copy the database from your initial application in this new app.

  Now, you can use HSS to set privileges for this new App.Db - and you are fine and safe.
