Can I switch to windows 7 Professional 2010 Windows vista home premium? Student offer was only for the Professional upgrade.
I decided, after all the trouble I had with Vista and go back to the factory settings and lost my last two years of my university studies to upgrade for students out of windows 7.
It was great to have a student, discount but it was provided in a professional and my Vista is running with Home Premium.
I bought without really noticing the difference. Before to do anything it can either, it work and if I can't have a refund or ask for windows 7 Home Edition premium to be provided with the offer student?
Hope you can help. Because of the beginning of return to college next week and have files on the office ready and waiting to install.
See you soon

Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit not updated, the error code 80070005.
Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit not updated, the error code 80070005. Have tried little about everything without success. AV is Microsoft Security Essentials, Norton has preloaded, ran Norton total clean. Don't know the last updated time to race day, I re-load of updates (right term?) who cleaned the logs. Have the free version of Malwarebytes, run regularly, nothing comes.
Fixed, had run as before, but didn't save Subinacl desktop instead of folder mentioned in fix

What is the largest HDD size that can be used with Windows Vista Home Premium
Can you tell me this as the largest capacity hard drive that can be used in a computer Windows Vista Home Premium 32 - bit with an Intel Centrino Duo 1.6 GHz processor. The laptop came with a 160 GB HARD drive.
Largest you can currently buy and probably larger that your mother/hardware card takes in charge.
~ 18 exabytes.
Your limit is probably more capped by material (and possibly the cost) than the software. :-)

How to get the source to windows vista Home premium recovery is not from the recovery partition and gives me an error message
Hello
Contact the computer manufacturer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it
they do it for a nominal cost of $
or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc
Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer
they contain all versions of vista
This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

How can I reinstall my windows vista Home premium 32
Mr. Michael-thanks for the reply and help... but I need more... I decided to reinstall my windows vista family 32-bit premium, now I work with vista full... like I said u before I think it is not legal...
pls tell me how can I reinstall it on the site because I do not have adisk (I have the old product key that come with my laptop to Vista Edition home premium)
my lap top is Toshiba...
Thank youhttp://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/home.jsp
Toshiba support
Contact Toshiba and ask them to send you a set of recovery Vista disc/s.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
Then reinstall Vista with them.
In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
See if you still have a recovery Partition on your hard disk to reinstall vista home Premium.Try this and see if it works:
Toshiba Recovery:
To access the recovery partition Toshiba, powering the laptop. Press 0 (zero) key and turn on the laptop. Keep holding down the zero key until the TOSHIBA logo, which is where you should start to type the zero key repeatedly. Stop if the device emits a sound signal or when the TOSHIBA logo disappears. The screen should light up * MODE of RECOVERY of HARD drive * for a fraction of a second, and then load the Toshiba Recovery program directly from the hard drive.
Note that this clears all data and reload all the software factory default. Be sure to back up all your important personal data beforehand!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Or borrow a good DVD (not Dell, HP, etc.) Vista.
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.If you can borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD(not a friend's HP, Dell recovery disk!), here's how to clean install it:

Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Installer is missing from the registry and Services
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/MSIServer does not appear in the registry. Windows Installer does not appear in the Services. Cannot get Windows install to work on all the programs 'access forbidden '. Looks like a corrupted virus probably register, but try to download the 4.5 MS update does not install because it tells me incorrect version. Running Vista Home Premium 32. I swear that MS made this just for you to buy their next major release. So far, I tried almost everything on the line. Some how I may be able to restore the registry and Setup key.
Assuming that System Mechanic is or has been install...
System Mechanic is your troublemaker & you have lots of company! [1]

update of Windows vista home premium w/sp2 kb978207 IE8 for vista security update problems
I finally understand exactly update has been the cause of my problems with my laptop could not complete the startup after installing an update.
System: vista home premium w/serv pack 2
Antivirus: Avira
other notable programs: itunes, roxio creator media, Skype, messenger, yh, IE8, msn messengerI tried several times to install IE8 KB978207 update without success. The last time I tried it, he first gave me an error code of 8024200d, then I reinstalled it. I finally understood by installing the updates one at a time which caused my laptop to not be able to run the start afterreboot after you install updates. I end up having to run the diagnostic tool for starting and when it finishes, I check the error log and it tells me that the reason that she didn't was due to a patch, then using the advanced features to restore my system before installing KB978207.
Does anyone have a solution to get this installed correctly?

I tried some of the ideas in the forums and Vista still won't let me load the drivers. It recognizes the printer and I'll install the drivers, no luck getting error 0x000003eb. At IT, share the printer UAC is on, tried with offshore, does the same thing.
Try to install Xerox Phaser 6250DP Laser Color. If anyone has an answer, you wish.

Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit
I have a laptop Dell Insperion 1501 with Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit. I tested the ram and hard drive and they check well. I deleted the C partition, formatted the drive with the dell windows vista disk and reinstalled vista. Then I tried to download the updates of windows, but when I click on any button for example, the Start button, it flashes opening and closing in a fraction of a second. Also, when it starts, he won't on the desktop unless I have a key on the keyboard, any key. I can't seem to update of the bios at the moment is still as dell reference years ago. No error messages or bios beeps. I was able to install all the drivers on the driver disk but can not get updates. This also happens in safe mode. Any suggestions? Thank you.
Guess what! It is the keyboard that was causing the problem. I disconnected and used a USB one and it works normally. I guess her grandchildren or the cat must have stuck a key on the Board. When the computer is off, lightly rub your palm on the keys to reset.
