Can't access menus on our Tandberg 3000 MXP - TTC7-09

It seems that the password for our unit has been changed and someone has disabled the menus on the screen, now, we cannot access the unit, screen, through the network interface or via the data port.

Can someone help me with this, is there a reset, or any other means of control re - wins.

At the moment we have no control, cannot see or access the menus, make calls, can't see same current state. everything we see when we initialize the system is our local camera.

Because you don't know the password and cannot access the codec without it, you will need to perform a factory reset, but this will clear all option keys installed.  Of course, because you can not see the menu OSD or access the codec, you can not write them.  According to what age was your codec, you can try and look for option keys in the Cisco Licensing Portal, go to obtain other licenses > license TelePresence to return.

How to run a factory discount for a codec MXP:

  1. Connect the RS232 serial cable to the unit
  2. Using Putty software or similar, to connect to the serial port @ 9600 baud
  3. Restart the codec
  4. Pressing CTRL + BREAK starts the codec
  5. Wait for the sign $ and type "EEE" and Enter
  6. Wait for the system to reset
  7. Restart the system

    Hi Experts,

I have a client who has a Tandberg 3000 MXP, sometimes the TV screen does not start automatically when received a call. Video conference begins and unit works but the TV does not start and they can't see the other side. You need to restart the TV to make it work again. You have an idea to solve this problem?

More information here to answer your question.

The codec has the ability to say to display digital goto sleep or wake up through signalling between the display and the codec - if both negotiate properly.  Depends on the type of display used and configuration in the endpoint.

But you are not limited to the use of these compatible screens... and they could use ANY type of analog or digital display.

When the codec is not negotiating with the screen... when the display is on, off or in standby is depends on the configuration of the screen.

Without knowing anything about the display in use... There is little we can do to help because we don't know even what is the intended outcome.

  • When I go into options I can't access "content" so I can't make changes to the pop-up windows

I have been making a large number of pop-up windows and you want to check if I clicked block pop-up windows, but I can't access the tab "content" under options. I can click on the other tabs, but the 'content' tab just shows the last tab, on that I clicked...

One of the reasons a lot of pop ups is a bad add-on. I suggest starting your cleaning here:

    (1) open the Control Panel, uninstall a program. After the loading of the list, click on the column heading "installed on" to group infections, I mean additions by date. This can help the undisclosed items bundle smoker who snuck out with some software, you have agreed to install. Out as much garbage as possible here.

    (2) open Firefox page modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click on Plugins. Set essential and unrecognized plugins 'never enable '.

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, in case of doubt, disable (or delete, if possible) not recognized and unwanted extensions.

Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

    Any improvement?

    (3) you can search the rest of problems with scanning/cleaning tools listed in our technical support article: Troubleshooting Firefox problems caused by malware. These scanners on request are free and take a long time to run. If they end quickly, especially if they require the payment you have a serious infection. I suggest the specialty forums listed in the article in this case.

  • What happened to the bar that says 'file, edit' etc.? How can I change the font size to display Hotmail? Where can I access 'Cancel '? Thank you-

How can I access the toolbar which includes "file, print" etc.? How can I change the font size of my hotmail home page? It used to be using "display".

In Firefox 3.6 and later Windows, you can hide the menu bar on "view > toolbars" or via the contextual right click menu on a toolbar.
Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key to bring up the menu bar temporarily.
Go to "view > toolbars", right click on the menu bar, or press Alt + V T to select to show or hide toolbars (click on an entry to switch from the State).

    Hello yazid.

I recommend posting your question on our TechNet site for remote desktop connection problems located here:
  • why I can't access windows or downloads updates

The last time my computer was able to connect to update was on Thursday, may 27.  I thought that this could be a problem with IE8, I am running Windows XP SP3.  I deleted the update received on 27 downloaded Firefox and still can not access windows update the following is the message of firefox when you try to access the Windows FIX IT

    Unable to connect

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server download.microsoft.com

    * The site may be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
    moments.

    * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
    connection.

    * If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

I tried twice today to post on the forum windows only to have IE8 back with impossible to locate the site.  I'm so compose the message this time and post on the Forum Internet Explorer as well.

    Hi 1FallenAngel,

Firefox does not connect to the Microsoft update site. You must use internet explore for it.

Please provide us with the error you are getting while trying to connect using internet explore. We would require the error code or error message for further investigation on the issue.

In the meantime, you can try running internet explore in no add-on mode and try to access windows update.

    • Click theStart button, click principally made programs, on Accessories, click System Tools, and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).

If disabling all add-ons solves the problem, you can use the add-on Manager to disable all add-ons and then turn on modules only as needed. This will allow you to figure out which add-on is causing the problem.

In Internet Explorer 8, you can disable toolbars by clicking theX on the side of the toolbar. If there are additional modules associated with the toolbar, a dialog box will be displayed where you can keep or disable the Add-ons.

  • Can't access toolbar or of desktop icons after installing windows 7

I recently installed windows 7 on my desktop, thought everything was good.  Sometimes, when the computer is powered on or after he wake mode in standby, the toolbar icons and desktop disappear.  The bottom rises and I can right click for options.  It still allows me to use most of the options when I right click, but that's all I can do.  I can't access the toolbar, Ctrl alt delete is that the black screen (nothing happens after that). But it happens that all the other time, or so when I turn on the computer.  If I run a cd boot everything works fine. I'm running vista, and I made a custom, Setup because the upgrade was not an option.  I also tried to boot from the cd and do a repair, but the problem is still intervene.  I made sure that everything has been updated before I did the installation and followed all the instructions.  I did all the updates that are available for installation (when I can get the operating system works).  Any thoughts?

    ErikA2008,
If you still experience this issue, you can try these things and then let us know the results.

First off I would say running a different virus scanner to ensure that nothing achieved by your installed one.  You can use the Onecare Safety Scanner or there are many other free around.

    Then run the following:

    Disk error checking

    System File Checker

  • Reinstalled XP, but now I can't access the internet

    Hello

I recently reinstalled Win XP on the same computer on which this copy has been installed.  The computer will have access to our home WiFi network, although he does not always see other computers on the network.  Worse, is that when I run IE6 Service Pak 2 (the version that is installed on the original disc), I can pull up the MSM homepage which will remain for about 15 seconds, then I get an error that IE has to close.  I think it boils down to "I can't access the Internet."  Tried everything that I can think and followed a number of suggestions on this forum.  I've seen comments that I need the update to Windows Service Pak 3 here, but, of course, I can't that without access to the internet.

    Any ideas?  Thank you, Susan

    A few thoughts...
    -from another computer...
-Make sure you get all the drivers for your computer from the manufacturers Web site
-Download a form any anti-virus (MSE for example)
    -Download SP3 from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=24

Once you have done this, I hope you can get on the Internet. Once there, get all your updates.

    I hope this helps.
