Cannot be accessed reliably host file shares in Windows 10 Pro

I can see my folder of Fusion 'Share' using the link on the desktop. I can't not reliable access shortcuts to the same or subfolders in my library of Docs not to (all from the file Explorer?) but some applications can and dreaded getting the "not found" dialog box. This means that I can't open files in sharing most of my applications making my Windows 10 VM basically useless (it is not the only virtual machine I use and have several that need access to the same share). Anyone else having this problem? I'm running the Mavericks as the host operating system, i7 quad core 16 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650 M 1 GB of VRAM (MacBook Pro 15 "Mid2012). I couldn't find a similar post in this forum. Any help will be appreciated.

Hello

As far as I KNOW, the following steps will send your host file-sharing problem.

1 take a snapshot (so you can come back)

2 uninstall vmware tools

3. restart Windows 10

4. install vmware tools

5 restart Windows 10

6. test if your shared folders work correctly now and if so, remove the snapshot.

Thanks for joining us on the Microsoft Community.

According to the description of the problem you are facing problems with reinstalling Windows XP Professional, and you are to be invited to insert the Service Pack 1 drive to complete the installation.

To help you to propose measures to solve the problem, I would appreciate if you could answer the following questions:

    1. did you uninstall Windows XP Service Pack 1 prior to reinstalling Windows XP?

    Anyone else had this error?

12.2.1.0.0 gives corrupted file to decompress windows 7 pro, I downloaded the full version of windows.  File1 and file2

    You run a virus scanner?

These programs are known to corrupt big files pushed, which is what you download, even if the file has the extension ".exe".

Disable the antivirus and then download the files, start the virus scanner and try to install.

Another way would be to download the installation program generic Erich you will get files zip or jar files which you can test before you begin the installation.

  • Cannot delete or rename a file Word via Windows Explorer

Windows 7 - Word 2007. Modification of a file .doc (compatibility mode) where the word went into a loop where it ignored all the entries. I waited for half an hour and finally had to stop the word with the Task Manager. The file that was opened at the time cannot be deleted or renamed. Same results when the system is booted in safe mode. Message is "the action cannot be completed because the file is opened in Microsoft Office Word. Word is NOT open at this stage. Result even after a reboot and no further action other than the attempt to delete the same message.

If the file is opened in Word and immediately closed with no action of any kind, always the same result, cannot delete the file and the same message is given.

Surprisingly, the file can be copied but try to remove the copy gets the same message.

How can I delete the file?

Hello, Azam, thank you for your interest for my problem

Re: Virus Scan - I use AVG and ran the scan with no problems found

Re: Safe Mode, see my original post. I tried without success

However... I found a way to remove the file. The BACK DEL cmd line feature deletes the file. We have to be careful and make sure that absolutely nothing reference file. The first time I tried to delete the file that I had Windows Explorer open and the file was clicked and the first page was displayed in the preview window and the DEL command failed, noting that the file is open in another application.

When I closed the window of the Explorer and retried the DEL command, it worked!

Unfortunately it took me almost two days to think about trying the DOS command line utility. I won't forget her now.

    Thanks for responding.

You ask if I have problems and I still have another major unresolved problem. It is, however, deliver a MS Word. If this isn't your cup of tea, perhaps you can point one word on it gurus.

I posted this a few days ago on the Office Online site in the area of the floor. There has been no response...

Here is a copy of the message:

    -------------------------------------------

    Word 2007 and Windows 7.

I have a file called v1.doc who was already involved in a situation where while I just changed that word went into a loop, and after waiting half an hour, I had to terminate Word by using the Task Manager.

When I reopened it v1.doc Word seems to have recovered the file correctly, but at the top of the window where the name of the file is indicated, there is now the "(Read-Only) text '."

When I try to save the file Word tells me that as the current file is read-only, I must give the file a new nane what I do: v2.doc and speech issues.

When I opened v2.doc I expected the read-only attribute is missing since the new name has been provided. However, v2.doc file has the same note "read-only" at the top.

Record (using Save as) as v3.doc v2.doc continues the same process.

I can't get rid of the read-only attribute and therefore every change requires a new version of the file.

If we check the file properties in Windows Explorer the read attribute alone is NOT defined.

    ---------------------------------
I could not remove these files are older versions v1.doc, etc that I note above

Any solution to this problem would be highly appreciated.

    Hi all

I had this problem and I solved it.

    The solution is:

    1. go into Device Manager.

    2. click on view and then on "see the hidden devices.

    3. go down the list of devices and expand the "network devices".

    4. find an adapter with the name "Microsoft Hosted virtual network card" and then right-click on it.

    5. Select activate

    6. This will allow the AdHoc created the connection, it must appear in the network connections in the network and sharing Center, if the connection to the ad hoc network does not appear then open the elevated command prompt and apply this command "netsh wlan stop hostednetwork" without the quotes.

    7. After this, the connection should appear.

  • How to change several files file extension in windows 8 pro

    Hi team,

I'm working on one of my animation projects, by mistake I gave the name of file as practice. # instead of practice # .ext
I made more than 500 files with the same name and now I want to change the file as .iff extension

I tried so many as ren and xcopy commands...

    But still can not get...

Please help, because I don't want to change each file extension individually.

Some of the file has been changed individually as below a picture, but I more than 500 left to change files and I don't want to make these files with correct extension because it consumes a lot of time...

    Thanks and greetings

I do not understand your problem and the first link specifically mentions the file extensions.

Batch change/rename the Extensions of files in Windows
    http://www.AddictiveTips.com/Windows-tips/batch-change-rename-file-extensions-in-Windows/

And the Google link also specifically mentions the file extensions too.

See if you can get your hands on this program.  It allows to rename the files so that they have no extension.  Then use it to set a fixed file on these files without extension renamed extension.  It worked for me so it could for you.

    Hello

On Windows 8, you can ride. ISO directly files. It is a new feature of Windows 8.

However, on Windows 7, you need to burn the ISO to a disc.  If a CD or a third-party DVD burning program is installed on your computer, this program could open when you double-click on the disk image file.

  • To access folders and files when access denied

I try to change my hosts file in the window\system32\drivers\etc folder but am counsel that I was not allowed to save in this location. I also get access denied when you try to save in some files of program data. I have administrator rights but am not logged as an administrator or have a specific administrator account. There are other times I get the access denied message. I know I read that change the attributes or permissions or similar things on certain issues can cause problems, so would like to know what I can change to allow me to edit and save my hosts file as well as savings for some other issues are currently denied access.

    Thank you

    I could do this:

    1. Open Notepad as Administrator: clic click right on the Notepad icon, select "Run as Administrator" and confirm if prompted.
    2. In Notepad, click file > open and navigate to your ETC folder and open the HOSTS file.   Now you should be able to change it.

    My assumptions

I guess you tried just using them together for your question relates to a matter of setting and not a flaw that appeared after a certain period when the network to have behaved correctly.

I also assume you are using a router rather than a simple connection by Ethernet cable between their LAN connectors.  There is no implementation of controls for a direct connection.  I have a direct connection between my Win7 & WinXP Pro but there are differences between XP Home & XP Pro, so some of my terminology would be incorrect - if I understand correctly the only notable difference is that XP Home has the safety of the less robust.  See a procedure step by step for the creation of a network of Ethernet cable of two computers between Windows 7 and Windows XP Pro with ICS.  You might find useful additional comments on XP Home in your Windows 7 helps the Networking computers running different Windows versions , but I don't think that there is nothing of major importance in this article.

    My advice

Both computers must have a common Admin account on them.  So just create an Admin account on your Windows XP with the same name & password as an Admin on your Windows 7 account.  Use this account to authorize the initial operation [you see the dialog box allows you to change the name of the account you want to use for authorization].  You should be the inverse as well [WinXP to Win7] and you can allow using the Admin account.

Once this is done, the network should function normally.  The Admin account, you choose the initial approval is not constrained your subsequent use of the network - other users will also be able to use the network without additional authorization is necessary.
