Cannot burn slideshow on dvd

I can't burn a DVD slideshow using Mediasmart Version 3.0.30.1 on my Pavilion dv6-1355dx. The 'Burn' button is not highlighted.

You are right, when I downloaded Version 4, it seems to work. Thanks for the tips.

I have a Satellite L30-113. Recently my driver failed for my dvd player, until I was able to install a few things and burn CDs and DVDs. Now, I can't record CDs or DVDs.

Nero and CDBurnerXP for CD/DVD ROM say 'cannot continue burning process as you did not choose the device for recording. CD/DVD ROM propities shows that it does not support recording CDs and DVDs.

I uninstalled the driver and restarted my computer and it reinstalled the same as that which does not once again. I am a driver update search and xp tells me that the driver is up-to-date. I checked the Toshiba updates with none of these updates for CD/DVD ROM.
I have no idea on how to fix this unit "corrupted".

    Hi mate,

I had a similar problem on my Toshiba laptop. So here, I searched a little bin forum and I founded to delete upper and lower filters in the registry. I followed the instructions in this Microsoft article:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/314060

After that, I again was able to burn DVDs.

In addition, updated driver from CD/DVD isn't necessary because this driver is part of the operating system.

Well, either it's a question madia or CD/DVD drive problem.
Check another CD and DVD from different manufacturers.
If the same thing happens to what different types of media, then it s a STRANGE HW issue.

  • Satellite M70-173 - cannot burn CDs or DVDs

    Hello

I have an old but expensive laptop (Satellite M70-173). The CD/DVD drive is a carpet * a UJ - 841 s and can currently only read DVDs and CDs
I have Nero installed 8.3.7.1, but it does not allow me to burn any DVD or CD
I have all the updates that are installed for Nero, have also removed the "upper and lower limits" in the registry.

It is not a mark of DVD or CD that I have not yet tried, but they all are coasters.

    I have the following options:

    1. try to set the drive - either with the technical assistance of the forum or replace the disk, so I decided that it is a hardware error

2 buy a new laptop - but also like some advise on how to "clone" of the current notebook that I have so many other programs installed that I bought over the years and do not want to lose.

I made copies pdf of burning errors I can post if necessary.

    Any help is welcome

    Kind regards
    Juan

    Hello!

    > I made copies pdf errors burning I can post if necessary.
    Yes, I think it's a good idea. ;)
Otherwise it of a bit difficult to help you.

But what CDs and DVDs you tried to burn? I have good experiences with Verbatim and TDK. Check it!
And you should burn on a lower speed for CD e. g. 16 x.

    Good bye

  • Cannot burn/rendering on DVD or tape record or digital

Use of first 10 items.  Windows 7 Professional / 64 bit, Core I7 - 2600K, 8 GB RAM, AMD 6870, Soundblaster Audigy 2ZS video card, separate 1 TB hard drive for video storage, Western Digital drive OS 150 GB 10 000 rpm.   In short, I have a firepower.

Problem: When I try to make a video of 39 minutes - DVD, on record or digital tape - the process runs through the menus/media encoding, it ends with the message 'Burn' done but the settings do not contain anything.  The DVD is blank, there is no such thing as the folder, it is supposed to create, and the Strip is empty.  I refuse to believe that the digital band and my two different DVD burners are all defective.

After meeting the above problem, I searched the forums and tried several of the suggestions such as:

    1. I've removed the preferences file.

    2. update all the drivers (video, sound, chipset).  I then tried again to burn on the media.

    3. once who has not solved the problem, I uninstalled, the reinstalled the software (making sure I used disc 2 for Windows 7 64-bit).

    4. once who has not solved the problem, I tried to start Adobe Premiere as "Run as administrator".  However, the end result is the same.  I get a message that says "Burn Completed" again, nothing is burned on the disc or if I burn to a folder, nothing appears in the target location.  I even tried out digital video tape - recorder is activated as expected, the records of the entire project and the end result is a blank tape.

Where should I go from here?  Sony or Corel or Avid :-)    I am a user of Adobe for a long time, starting with V2 of PE throughout the V10.  It is quite frustrating.

A few other notes - I don't think I have a problem of "conflict program" as a DVD like Nero burner software.  The computer I use is strictly for purposes only of video editing and therefore does not contain any other software package.  In addition, the video files are downloaded from Sony's DV camcorder which is DV - AVI.

    Thanks for any help.

See if that helps the problem of out of band...

  • Satellite A40-231: cannot burn CDs or DVDs

    Hello

I can play CDs without problem, but I can't write them and DVD. I tried with Windows XP default recorder (by Roxio as he said), Nero and Infra Recorder but still had the same problem. Combustion process begins and finishes without errors with all of this software, but when I check the contents of the CD later, I see that nothing is written there, the CD is just considered as empty, or sometimes seen with 0 MB of available space, 0 MB total space.

I tried with the CD - r, CD - RW and the DVD but I got the same problem. I have 2 389 MB free in my disk space hard as he is seen by Nero for the ability of the temporary folder that it uses.

My DVD-R /-RW is recognized by Windows XP without problem and also, I installed the latest firmware from the site Web of Toshiba.

    Here are my specifications:

    Toshiba Satellite A40-231
Toshiba DVD - ROM SD-R6112 DVD-R /-RW DRIVE Firmware Version: 1333 (latest news on the site Web of Toshiba Driver)
System dual boot: Windows XP SP2 and Linux Debian Sarge

    Hello

In the manual of Toshiba, you compatible o is a list and supported the CDs and DVDs.
You must use these mediums as they are tested and should work correctly.

    Another tip:
Go to start > run > and start recording with a command regedit

    Delete values
upperFilter and UpperFilter of this key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

I've done on my laptop and noticed some improvements

    Hello

Looks like the lens can not calibrate correctly.
The objective must be calibrated before using the media. Each media need to another status to calibrate. If this calibration doesn t work properly the drive cannot read or write media.
Well, in this case there are not a lot to do.
The drive needs to be replaced.

But have you checked if the engraving option has been enabled on the drive? If this isn't the case, in order to check it out.

-Right-click on the DVD drive-> properties
-Go to the menu point record
-Enable recording for the DVD player

  • Satellite Pro L875: Cannot burn DVD Recovery Media Creator and win 8

I have a L875 Pro of the Satellite with Blu - ray burner.

I tried to create the recovery DVD disc, the burn process stopped and error guest asked me to check if the disc is damaged or scratched. After the burning process, the DVD was not empty and some data wrote on this subject.

I tried to burn the data disc in windows 8. the burner is not started. I'm only able to add files to the disc.

I play Blu - ray movies and dvd movies, blu ray player was fine.

I found information on the appropriate corresponding to the burning speed dvd disc speed.

How do I know what speed the burner support?

How to burn a DVD or Blu - Ray in windows 8? (I looked on the Microsoft forum, but the solution did not work.)

It would be great if someone respond and make the drive burn discs.

As a first step, it will be interesting to see why you cannot create recovery discs.
Have you used vacuum on DVD-R media? Otherwise please use it and buy a product of high quality like Verbatim or TDK.

Is there an option to create the USB stick recovery?

    (1) DVDRAM CAN READ CD AND DVD EASILY, IT Burns CD WELL, BUT cannot burn DVDs, IT SHOWS: G:\ IS NOT ACCESSIBLE INCORRECT FUNCTION, UNTIL IT WORKS WELL. the blank dvd is not a problem, before I used even type a blank dvd to burn.
    (2) even allow the recoding in the properties, the properties shows the Virgin dvd 0bytes.

all PROMTLY ANSWER would BE MUCH APPRECIATED.

    It doesn't sound good.
I had a similar problem of combustion and the end of the story, I replaced the drive ;(
However, try to remove the drive from Device Manager, and then again to restart the operating system should recognize the device again.
Then you could check if it able to burn the DVD s s.
I think you should also try burning different DVD media.

I have visited many work sites and the reader, and especially the calibration lens malfunction could be responsible for burning problems.
This could be a worst case and in this case, the replacement is necessary.
