Cannot change the host associations groups

Hello:

I'll put up a cluster with two nodes with two Dell servers and a MD3200 with two controllers. Each server has two SAS HBA, each one associated with each of the SAN controllers for redundancy.

I stopped with a problem stupid aparently that not let me complete the Setup, and I need urgently finish it.

The problem is that the 1 server is automatically asigned to the default group, and I tried to do a second group specifically for the cluster. I manually assign Server 2 to this group, but not way to assing server 1 also, so I'm trying to desassign server host cluster group 2, to assign it to the default group, but I can't find how. Now I have 1 server bound to the default host group and Server 2 in the clsuter group. All the options to manage, change or assign specific hosts or groups are disabled, and I can't configure the cluster.

I think the problem is that access virtual disk (automatically generated by the software) is attributed to groups of two hosts, so I can't delete the second cluster group, if both servers are assigned, and the software doesn't let me do anything.

Management software version is 10.84.G6.44 (latest version) and host is Windows Server 2012.

Need urgent help. Thanks in advance.

Finally solved reseting CLI configuration

  • Cannot change the guest account group

Long story short.  The guest account is somehow in the Administrators group.

    I use Windows Vista Home.

When I am logged into the guest account and I look under the name he said administrator.  I'm going to change the type of account, it shows that it is in the standard group.  It won't let me even change for the management group.  It is in the Administrators group or what?  READ MORE that it gets better.

When I'm on the command line and I type net user comments he says that membership in the local Administrators group.  Now, here's what I don't understand.  I do net localgroup guests comments / add and it will add to the guests group, and it is then in the customers and group administrators.  I can then do net localgroup guests comments/delete and it deletes it.  Now I CANNOT net localgroup administrators/delete comments because he says that it is not within the group, BUT if I net localgroup administrators comments / add that also says that he cannot do it because it's already in the Group?  That continues.  A I royally mess up something or it's a certain type of problem?  Please help me.  Thank you

Add me it, change, removal of buttons are not there at all. What I really want to do is prevent the numbering of the ports 0/2/3 and 2/0/2.  Is there another way I can do this?

    Hello

You should have these buttons available.  One thing to watch with CCA, is not being able to see the scroll bar on the right side.  Try to move the window in GRP, there is most likely a scroll bar that you don't see, and the necessary keys are falling over and you are simply unable to see without scrolling down.

  • Cannot change the host firewall configuration

    Hello

I'm playing with a small lab environment and I see this problem.

I have 1 vCenter Server Appliance and 2 ESXi hosts.

The two hosts were 5.0 ESXi hypervisor (free version).

    I've done this.

Replace licenses Ent +. Upgrade 1 hosts to version 5.1.

Now, if I try to edit a firewall rule in the host improved from the vSphere client connected to the vCenter, I get this error.

' Call 'HostFirewallSystem.DisableRuleset' of object "firewallSystem-41"on vCenter Server 'localhost' failed."

I tried to remove and time to host the vCenter but the error persists.

Anyone know what is the problem here?

My domain administrator is defined as a domain user and I want to change it to domain administrator. The groups gathered outside the account > users > Admin > groups section.

    Hello Tripline,

Please provide number and firmware version of your ReadyNAS model.

What's your ReadyNAS built-in AD? The ReadyNAS will simply copy the accounts of the ADS in your ad. Existing domain user, 'Administrator' should be adjusted to have administrator rights. I guess you should change everything first, and then integrate the NAS again to the AD.

  • Cannot change the power state of VM: internal error

    Hello

I freshly installed OS elementary which is based on Ubuntu.

VMWare Workstation installation worked fine, but after creating my new virtual machine with a Win 10, the same message comes to me:

Cannot change the power state of VM: internal error

I looked a little in the log file, found this dump was set to zero, they changed in etc/security /, but that's all I've managed to find.

    Here is my log file

Thanks a lot for your help

PS: I'm leaving a beginner in the Linux world, so explanation would be welcome

    Hello

Welcome to the VMware community forums.

I don't think that the problem is related to a beginner linux user, it's a problem triggered by a specific hardware configuration.

If you look at your log file again, there is an error just before the vmware process attempts to core dump. The dump is a reaction to the problem.

If you then put the bug number into google, you get:

  • Moved from VM with Snap Shots, doesn't start: cannot change the power state of VM: internal error

    Hello

Last week, I decided to move from a Windows host based Linux system. So I went through my VMs their power off and copied to another drive. I then installed 7 Centos and reinstalled VMWare Workstation 12 re-imported the virtual machine in VMWare and I tried to start.

    I received the following message...

"Cannot change the power state of VM: internal error.

Suspicious, I looked at the folder that contains the machine virtual and noticed it contained snapshots. DOH!

I guess it is pretty bad, not sure where to start?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    James

I copied VM, with and without clichés, without problems. Have a few running on OSX Fusion so

The first thing I would check would be for folders and .lck files. If so, remove them.
