Cannot combine files with AA7

The user has XP Pro, AA7 and MS Office 2007.  He receives an error message stating the file PDFMaker is missing and you want to install it now?  It makes installation, recharges, and gets the same error.  I'm down there, checked and installed the updates via Acrobat, help > check updates, rebooted, nothing.  A clean installed, still nothing.  I know that AA7 does not support Office 2007, but the doc 2003.  It can combine two .pdf without problem.  Even if the files are 2003 causes the problem in him using 2007 and it is not not compatible?

I know that AA7 does not support Office 2007...

This is the reason.

    Hello

In mobile applications of Acrobat Reader (for iOS, Android), you can convert from and to PDF documents using the PDF Pack online subscription service.

However, the 'Combine files' feature is not available inside the player of mobile applications.

To use the function 'Combine files', you must use the interface of the web browser (https://cloud.acrobat.com/combinepdf) on your Windows or Mac desktop.

You can sign in Adobe Document Cloud via web browsers (Safari, Chrome, etc.) on your iPad/iPhone to download documents or view.  However, you are not able to Choose of PDF documents combine the web browser interface because iOS (operating system) does not allow users to select local documents except the app images Photos.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Cannot combine files in Adobe Acrobat XI

Does anyone know what is the problem?

Looks like you're combining files that are not (or at least not all) PDF files. The error message suggests a XLSX file. Have you tried to convert the file in question first in Excel via the Acrobat Tools/Ribbon toolbar button? Does it work or you get the same error message?

  • Cannot open files with the EXTENSION of the PPT FILE

I can't open a file with the following extension using PowerPoint ppt. The message below is what I get-

The selected file is not a valid Microsoft PowerPoint file. It may be a file created by another program.

Try by double-clicking the file in Windows Explorer to see if another program opens to it. If PowerPoint opens again when you double-click the file in Windows Explorer, it is possible that the file is not a PowerPoint file, but its extension has been renamed to be that of a PowerPoint file type registered (for example, .ppt, .pptx, .pps, .ppsx, .pptx, .pot or .potx) but the file is not a PowerPoint file.

To determine which program can open the file, try one of the following:

    • Contact the original author (if known) to know what program you used to create this file. Then rename the file with the correct extension so that it can be opened by this program.
    • Try opening the file in other programs.
    • If you or someone you know, are very knowledgeable about software, review the file header in a text editor to determine which program can read the file.

Another possibility is that the file has been damaged during transfer from another computer. Trying to transfer the file again.

The file may be damaged. If you have a copy of the file backup, use it. It is not possible repair corrupted file.

A PHP file is like any other text file you may know. So, you can use easily available programs such as Notepad on Windows or TextEdit on aMac, to open a PHP file. You can also use these programs to edit and save the PHP file. In addition, there are a multitude of programs specifically designed for editing PHP files.

To open a PHP file in Notepad, first launch the Notepad application. In Notepad, select file, open in the menu bar. Navigate to the folder where you saved the file PHP. You will notice that the file does not appear in the list. To see the PHP file, you will need to change the extension to all files by using the dropdown next to the file name field. Now you should be able to select your PHP file, then click Open.

  • Cannot combine files (jpeg or tiff) image in a PDF workbook

I did many times before, but today I went through the process to combine the files and found with gray rectangles where images are supposed to be. The images appear in the preview, but not when I actually open the binder. I checked the Acrobat updates, but the app is updated. Any ideas?

Go to Edit - Preferences - Page Display and make sure that "Show large images" is checked.

  • Cannot encrypt files with fingerprint reader

I just bought a Toshiba E105-s1602 and I can't find a way to encrypt files and folders with fingerprint reader.
I use it to connect to the computer and in the instructions it says just right click on the file and there should be something that says encrypt or something similar, but I have no option to do with encryption.

Does anyone know how to use it, I do something wrong?

    Thank you

AFAIK this option depends on software pre-installed. I'm not 100% sure, but Toshiba offers two different applications for this application.
If this option is not available then this option is not available with pre-installed application.

  • Cannot open files with Windows XP 5.1 and Explorer 8.0 .dot

Recently, I tried to open a small graphics ending in .dot file.  I have quoted me a Windows XP page with several options.  I selected the option to use quickdrivers.com which eventually took me to the Regwork Software menu.  She provided a scan of my XP files disclosing several registry errors.  How to proceed?  Is this 3rd viable third party software that will allow me to open .dot files.  Or is there another recommended software?  Advisor.

It very much looks like your computer is infected. You must be proactive and run now:

    http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

Regarding the .dot file, this is not a graphic file. A .dot file is a MS Word template file.

You do not want to use the scanners to register at all.

  • Cannot delete files with long file names in Windows 7

Unnecessary Windows 7 will not erase a file whose name is too long. I have no name, it is in a temporary folder of IE. I can't get rid of it as options to rename will not be visible.

Thanks, but I have solved the problem. The error message was about 'file path or destination file name is too long. It is the backup to the temporary internet file that was causing a problem: he made the PATH too long as she added additional elements on the path. That was simply solved by the path to 2 bits, (path upper and lower file path) to cut and remove separately.

When I tried to delete the .jpg image with the extremely long filename at the end of the long path he says as the destination folder (ie the TRASH) could not hold the file due to excessive length. It's confusing to say the least.

Anyway that little trash has bit the dust.

  • Cannot copy files with properties!

Whenever I want to copy a multimedia file on a USB key, the system will indicate that the files will be copied without original properties, but this problem was not showing when I transfer the file to the hard drive. I tried to format the USB key with different file system and use other submissions, but impossible to find a bit of luck.

You can ignore this error and the file will still be usable.  Lost properties are just some of the extended information that are stored in the NTFS file system.

You can also format your USB to use the NTFS file system - which is not only much more efficient, but also much more resilient and less likely to have failures when writing failure (which is common on portable drives that are subject to disconnection without notice to the system).
