  I wonder if someone could shine any light on why vmotion fails to occur between an ESXi host who has just been restarted, in order to test HA. I have the following configuration:

  3 x ESXi5 DL360 G7s with two 4-way NIC

  VSphere Vcenter 5

  1 x cluster configured for DRS HA

  2 x Procurve 2910 - 24G

  The switches are not connected to each other.

  Both switches are configured as such:

  

  All ports are not marked. NO PLEASE, no routing

  Each host vMotion vSwitch is connected to two switches by 1 x 1 GB nic

  I configured a vswitch on each host of vMotion. There are two ports vmkernel with two IPS on the same subnet. There are two vmnic attached to the vSwitch. On each port, a Vmic is configured to be active while the other is unused. I enabled frames on the vSwitch and 2910 switches. A VLAN has been configured on the two predisposees 2910 for vmotion with frames and defined traffic on "no label". I can successfully vmkping all the ip s vmotion on all ESXi hosts. However, when I test HA by stopping an ESXi host, when I restart the ESXi host I am unable to vmotion in that ESXi host. When I test vmkping I find that the host rebooted can only vmkping itself and no other host can vmkping it. Vmotion attempt fails on 9% and errors with the source host cannot connect to the destination host. If I restart the two switches of 2910 I can then perform a vMotion and the vmkping is a success.

  Also, what is the make, model and model number of your PC? Is your Windows XP 32-bit or 64-bit?

  vCenter Server 2.5 is not compatible with vSphere 4.x host. I think that VMware announced document compatibility matrix (between hypervisor host ESX and vCenter Server or other components). Please see below URL:

  Hi Sandy,

  Sorry to hear that there are some problems with your connection to the printer Photosmart HP 7520.  If you don't mind not could you please answer a few questions that might help me understand what could happen.

  The 7520 Photosmart printer has an Ethernet (wired network) port, in "wired", I'll assume you mean that the printer is connected to your iMac via USB cable.  You the first thing I would try is to unplug the USB cable to the back of the printer and taking again and then do the same thing at the back of the iMac.  I know that sometimes because of the angle of the cables, they can be loosened.  See if the iMac can then "see" the printer.

  You can remove the printer from the printers and Scanners, system preferences, selecting the printer in the list on the left, then pressing the key less at the bottom of the list.  This should in no way affect or not wearing your Epson Perfection 2400 is always configured in your PC.

  Can you please tell me if your iMac is on the (access point) network as your MacBook and iPAD?

  When you use your iPAD to print, it can "see" the printer (you can select or it appears by name)?

  Finally, if you tap the wireless on the front panel of the printer, it should display the IP address of the printer.  Your MacBook when it is connected to your wireless network, open Safari and type http:// and the address of the printer showed you.  Safari open the page Web of the printer or a mistake?

  I installed successfully VIO 2.5 on a vCenter lab w / NSX 6.2.3 and waited two weeks to complete the deployment, and now vCenter cannot connect to the management server in VIO. The only thing I see so far is that when I SSH in and try to use the viocli, I get an error message: cannot find the file inventory. OpenStack may not have yet been deployed. Since I have just installed the Server Manager only and stopped, I thought I would try to uninstall VIO and start over, but this procedure does not seem to be documented that I can come up with a plan b. thoughts?   I solve this problem I found that some of the clock of the ESXi host were not synchronized because they could not reach NTP. Once the clocks were synchronized, the problem disappeared. I attribute this to vCenter based SSO that everything in my laboratory is related to, but error messages and logs were not indicative of the root cause.

  I bought a camera (ver. 3 - en) WRE54G refurbished. Just before the installation, I was able to connect to my wireless network, internet access, etc.

  So I ran the installer for the WRE54G to my laptop, which failed because the installation program could not connect to the diving (device was plugged).

  After this attempt, I am still able to connect to my wireless network at home with my laptop, however, I cannot access the internet.

  Other computers (macBook, my Galaxy Tablet) have no problem with the wireless network, only the laptop that ran the Setup program.

  So, I assumed that the aircraft was down and had to be reset. The guys at HP have not upgraded the firmware of the device as they wanted to ensure that there are no compatibility issues with the firmware of the MSA 1000 box cards HBA and firmware.

  Interesting, that I never got to restart my unit to get connectivity. I would upgrade to firmware active/active.

  A strange thing is that this MSA 1000 has 2 controllers, but one of the controller was never connected to the box. Not bad, it is inserted into the MSA1000.   These options are available in 3.0 and 3.5. Not really sure what you're asking here. But I think it's a separate issue and should have its own thread.
