    Hello

    > The SD reader does not appear on ' * Workstation ' * until I have inserted an SD card.
This is nothing unusual. I'm also putting t have the SD card reader in my computer until I insert an SD card.

In your case I would recommend checking if your SD card is compatible with the SD card reader. As far as I know not all sizes are supported. In addition, check if the SD card is not too bad.
Last but not Lea if it s possible and then format the SD card first and then insert it.

PS: You can also reinstall the driver from SD card. First remove the SD drive from Device Manager, and then reinstall the driver.

  • SD card slot not working on Tecra M2

My Tecra M2 with XP pro SP3 fails to read the sd card, to 2Gbyte. When I insert the widowed card goes ' ding ding ', but the map does not appear in Solution Explorer. Several different cards have been tried.

The sd slot is represented by a yellow exclamation point in Device Manager, and Code 10 report is given. I tried diifenet pilots re-loads, and sometimes he gives a warning: code 9. I checked the bios and the sd slot is enabled. and I tried a microsoft KB921413 fix, but it would be not installed stating that it was older than the installed version.

Looking at the driver download section, there is no SD driver as such, just a copula of whick utilities that I have already installed.

all other sections of the computer seems to work OK

I'm a bit stuck now suggestions?

    Brian

    > In Device Manager the sd slot is represented by a yellow exclamation point and the report of the 10 Code is given
This means that SD card controller is not correctly recognized and the device is not functioning properly.
In most cases, the installation of the new driver should help to address this problem.

See the European driver of Toshiba page and download the * SD Secure Module driver * for Tecra M3.
Check if you can install it on your M2

I think this should help you!

  • SD 2 GB card is not readable on Satellite P10 504

I have a satellite P10-504 P4 2.8 GHz/XP with an SD card, when I insert a 2 gb SanDisk sd card it does not read.
    What could do?
I think that of something maybe drivers upgrade, but I cant find it anywhere.

    Hello

Unfortunately, the reader doesn't support this format SD card and you will find all the drivers for the SD card. The operating system uses the standard Microsoft drivers.
In your case, the best way is to buy the external USB card reader supporting multiple card formats.
Such device simply isn't very expensive ;)

    Hello

You are right. There is no update available. At the moment where the device was on the market, the card 2 GB SD was not available.

This device is very similar with 5200 Satellite and you can try to use the SD card of her driver. It should be version 2. 0 2. I really don? t know if this can help, but you can try it.

Otherwise, I really don? t know what you can do about it.

  • Sat Pro 6000 - 2 GB SD card is not readable

I am writing on an SD card in the SD card slot. The destruction list SD card sizes up to 128 MB. The slot sees higher capacities, or is there a hardware limitation? A BIOS/driver update would allow access to superior capabilities of card?

My card is 2 GB and if it appears in the Explorer in XP, I see no data on this subject (or do something with it) but I know that it has data on it and can be read in other devices.

    Hello

I found information that this device can accommodate cards flash memory Secure Digital with a capacity of 8, 6, 32, 64 and 128 MB and it of not possible to use cards with more capacity. :(
In addition, this slot machine cannot accommodate multimedia cards.
I don t think that an update of the BIOS can deal with this problem, but if you want you can try to update the BIOS to the latest version.
I found on the site of Toshiba, the BIOS version 1.60 of the 12.08.2003

    Best regards

  • Change graphics card on Tecra 9100

Anyone know if it is possible to change the graphics card? It is a tecra 9100? and where to buy?

As far as I know that it is not possible to Exchange unique pieces like the graphics card and CPU. Graphics card is part of the main map (fixed mounted). For more information you can contact Toshiba service in your country.

  • No sound on my Tecra 9100

    Hello

I have a 9100 used Tecra since 1 year 1/2. Works well, but 3 months work doesn t sound more. I put t know if I made any specific. I use Windows XP Prof. SP2 (but I used the same when it worked). The sound card is recognized by the operating system and it starts working again but not sound with the speakers and no sound with headset also.

It worked once, and I think that there should be a solution. And I also think that there is no problem with the IO card because the operating system recognizes the soundcard. But maybe I think too :-)

    Hello

Could you please check what sound card is supported by your Tecra 9100?

I searched in the Toshiba forum for similar problem and found these two sons about his on the Tecra 9100 and the SP1 or SP2

Seems that the Yamaha audio driver does not support the service pack of Microsoft.
There is only one solution, you will update the driver that supports the MS or you will remove him the MS service packs of the system.
I prefer the first solution ;)

  • The Bios Tecra 9100 battery

I believe that my Bios battery has not in my Tecra 9100

    Two things...

Can someone suggest a good place for their source to the United Kingdom?

Also, someone has a pdf file tell you how to replace?

    Thank you very much

    Hey there,

If your laptop is a Tecra 9100, she has 3 years international warranty and it's probably under warranty, and no debilitating defects, you can call 08702202202 option 1 and option 2 (it's the support) and they will direct you to a nearby Service Center or you can find the service centers in the website www.computers.toshiba.co.uk under support & downloads and find a service partner.

  • Wireless LAN on Tecra 9100 evil: card not recognized or system crashes

I have a little problem with my tecra 9100. When I want to use my wireless network, it works sometimes and sometimes the pc does not even see the map. but when it works for awhile, then the complete system crashes! and I have to reset the tecra. now I use an external wireless (3com) and features a large, but what can be the problem?

    Hello

Without accurate control for laptop, we can just speculate what may be the problem. If sometimes the WLAN card is not visible to the system, I guess there is a contact problem and system has no contact to the card and card cannot be detected at all.

When it blocks for laptop may be due to loss of contact on the map. In my view the contact on the motherboard must be verified by the service. If you don't want to just use the external solution and take advantage of the WLAN functionality.

  • Tecra 9100: sound card is not listed in Device Manager

    Hello
I have a toshiba laptop 9100 that does not show me the sound card in Device Manager.

I recently changed the laptop bobdy and uses a disk hard work that work very well with my old laptop which also has the same model and the sound used to work properly with this one. but since I changed my laptop, the sound just does not.

I also tried to install all the latest drivers that I am running windows xp sp2, and there are drivers available who have a difficulty for this os. But when I try and install the drivers it always ends with a message warning "drivers are not installed.

I tried to see if there is another way in which I can configure my sound, but it simply doesn't.

    Help, please!

    Hello peppy

If the sound card is not listed in Device Manager, the explanation is very simple. The card its doesn't exist for the operating system. Either card defective or not connected properly.

Contact the Service partner and let check the device. Sorry, but in this case I put t see another solution.

  • Tecra 9100: Try to install updadet driver for card his Yamaha AC - XG

    Hi all

I got a Tecra 9100 and like many others I had problems after installing SP2.

I tried to install the sound card with the driver downloaded from the toshiba support page:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/FAQ.jsp?service=EU&FID=TRO0000001b59

but I get a windows pop saying that the file yacxg.sys is missing.
Once the installation is complete and the sound card is not installed.

Is there anyone who can help me?

    Thank you
    Joazinho

The fact is that the driver listed in the FAQ from Toshiba is for SP1 and NOT for SP2

I think you should google a bit and should look for if you find an audio driver that is compatible with the Service Pack 2 update

Yamaha already provides the fixed driver.

  • Maximum size of SD card and HDD in Tecra 9100

    Hello

What is the biggest size SD card and HARD drive in a Toshiba Tecra 9100?

My largest SD card has 512 MB and works very well. Can I use 2GB or 4 GB SD - Cards?
My HARD drive is 160 GB and works. We may also use the 250 GB HARD drive?

    Best regards

    Wolly

    Hello

The Tecra 9100 is an older laptop. I think that it s 6-old.
As far as I know 6 years ago you didn t find the cards of 2 GB or 4 GB SD so it's not easy to tell if the slot will handle these large sd cards.
The user manual only says that you can use SD cards of 8 MB, 16 MB, 32 MB, 64 MB and 128 MB.
You have only one chance to see if a larger SD card would work. You must test it simply. ;)

  • Tecra 9100: Headset does not work

My Tecra 9100, headphone connector does not work. Do the good internal speaker. If I plug in headphones or external speakers, the interns are being extinguished, but external devices, I don't hear anything.

My sound card is generally, I thought that there could be a chance to solve the problem simply say - and reconnect wire/Council of the front-end connectors to the sound card... but I never did any technichal stuff in a Tecra, so it would be nice if someone could give me feedback where and how to open it, and if it's still a chance to solve my problem.

    Hello

If you can hear the sound from the internal speakers as well as the sound card works correctly.
In your case I recommend you first check the audio settings in the audio and audio devices you can find in the control panel.
    Check all THE audio controllers.
