  Something like this is not possible. I have older machine tool and I can confirm that recovery USB media cannot be created DVD only.

  I've always heard that it was not a good idea to combine all, Windows programs, system etc all in the same giant partition with lots of photos, songs, financial data, Word files, etc etc.

  I have a 1 TB hard drive and use the main C for all files. I use images software to make my own custom recovery solution, having 1 large partition makes it simpler. Custom recovery options

  Running Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 installed, running on a LG laptop. I am set up as an administrator, but when you click through the steps to create a new Standard user account, it does not create and does not appear in the list of users.

  A point of interest in considering the issue of "unable to create a user account having administrative rights" is can create you an account that has no administrative rights from another account and then you use that has administrative rights?  Information Justin had submitted and information, I'm reviewing, it would be very beneficial for our steps in troubleshooting to have this documented as being verified.

  You would present to us in the forum if this is something you are able to accomplish in a new administrative account that you create for this system?

  In another order of ideas, it would be that there are suspicious software loaded on the system.  Try running scan of Virus and malware removal tool.

  I'm trying to update my display driver to the latest review posted for my laptop model Toshiba site but the performance of the installation executable I m returned with an error saying that my system is not compatible with the driver see 7.14.10.1461.

Frankly, I bypass the first step and start with the second stage if this is the only update, you are having issues with that.

  We've thought of it. We do not have the Bundle ID, the ID of the Extension and the name of Bundle how to navigate. After that we have re-established our ZXPs have been accepted and correctly place.

• Executable file cannot create files

  I created a VI that creates files in its operation. It downloads files via FTP and also creates a config file, if it does not already exist.

  When I ran the VI without building in an application everything has worked well. Now that I have built in an application, he cannot create any files at all for some reason any.

  The strange thing is that it doesn't throw any errors. Part of my application FTP receives a list of files in a directory through then a loop using the 'get' vi file it draws in the FTP in the Toolbox of the internet. The for loop to zip right through the list of files without having to download them, but acts like he did download them. Its supposed to wait until it downloads or expires. As I said though, nothing in the VI can create all files. I'm trying to create a configuration file, but it is not created.

  I am even dealing with the case where when I use the 'VI path.vi current"from a stand-alone application, it will send a path like c:/directory/myprogram.exe/currentvi.vi. I analyze it to the directory of the real executable without a hitch.

  I am running XP, not vista, so it's not like I need to run it as an administrator or something. I'm puzzled. I hope that I have adequately described the behavior of this problem for you guys.

  before installing all the drivers (unnecessary):

  Have you checked all the wires of the error? Especially in the creation of your program file section? All messages of that?

  Can you show your code (a light at least version)? You can replicate the problem with an example vi?

• Vista cannot create a network map

  the two 2 computers running Windows Vista Edition Home Premium.  Network and sharing screens put in place identical.  On my computer (from the network and sharing Center), I can click on view full map and it shows my network card.  On the computer of my wife (of the network and sharing Center) she can click on view full map and it rises "Windows cannot create a network adapter for the selected type of connection networl.  I might add that both computers are 'wired' internet/router.

  Any help?

  Are your computer and your computer wife have chipset or card network NVIDIA perchance? or a Linksys router by chance?  This is a post in the forum of Linksys, you might want to check in to see if it applies to your computers:

  Symptom: Windows Vista computers are not put on the Vista network map. Or well, you get the following message when you try to view the full network map: "Windows cannot create a network adapter for the type of connection chosen network." To check go to: PANEL-> CENTER NETWORK AND SHARING. SEE the FULL map (top-right) and find either: A Windows Vista-based computer is listed down under: "the following peripheral discovered may not be placed in the plan. or You get the message, "Windows cannot create a network adapter for the type of network connection. Possible cause: The offending computer has an NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller whose property "priority and VLAN" to "priority"active & VLAN. Solution: Set the property 'priority & VLAN"to"Priority and VLAN Disabled"as follows: Reach: START-> CONTROL PANEL-> ADMINISTRATION-> COMPUTER MANAGEMENT TOOLS In the resultant "computer management" window select: DEVICE MANAGER (left side).   You're talking about recovery disk from the manufacturer created from the computer recovery partitiion or are you talking about a generic recovery for repairs disk (making it impossible to reinstall the operating system)?

  If the recovery disk from the manufacturer, please contact technical support from the manufacturer for assistance that the process of creating a disk of the partition recovery is their process and not Microsoft and varies by manufacturer and sometimes even my computer within this manufacturer model.  We do not know how to deal with each type or how to handle a problem such as you experience with this process - even if we knew that the manufacturer make and model specific to computer which you did not (but with which we might be able to provide specific links to the manufacturer).

  If you mean a recovery for the repair disk, then try using the following to do an and see if it works any better than any method that you use: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/141820-create-recovery-disc.html.

  I have Windows XP Service Pack 3 installed in a Bootcamp partition on my Intel iMac. I can detect and install new hardware such as USB keys. However, the Device Manager window is blank - how can I get the window to display the devices connected to the computer? I am also unable to install Parallels tools when I use Bootcamp as a virtual machine.   For the second question, here are some suggestions:

  Method 1: Uninstall & install Parallels tools

   

  NOTE: we highly recommend you make a backup of the virtual machine before you continue.

  a. start your virtual machine and cancel the installation of Parallels Tools Wizard.

  b. Click Start--> Panel--> Add / Remove programs and remove the Parallels tools in the list of applications.

  c. restart Windows.

  d. install the Parallels tools by clicking on the Virtual Machine--> install the Parallels Tools.

  Method 2: Uninstall antivirus software

  If the problem persists, try the following:

  Temporarily uninstall all the antivirus software to the virtual machine and repeat steps of the "Uninstall & install Parallels Tools" section above.

  Note: Don't forget to install the back antivirus software, once the problem is resolved.

   

  Method 3: Uninstall, clean & install Parallels tools

   

  Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.   c. go to "Start" > "Control Panel" > "Add/Remove Programs" and uninstall theParallels Tools if it is present.

  d. go to 'my computer' > 'C' drive > "Program Files" > "Parallels" folder and delete the "Parallels Tools" folder, if present.

  e. click the Windows 'Start' menu-> 'run' and type 'regedit'. Click OK.

  f. in the registry editor, go to "My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Parallels" and delete the heading "Parallels Tools" and go to "My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Parallels" and remove the 'Tools' section.

  g. restart Windows.

  h. now install Parallels tools in the 'VM' menu on the Parallels Desktop menu bar, while Windows is running.

  I have windows vista and cannot complete the update security update for Windows Vista (KB2961072) KB2961072.  I also ran system update readiness tool. No luck.   Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?

  I had a very very long list of updates from several years ago, now I see only about 60.  OS says I have SP2 yet, but it does not look like it.  What happened to the hundreds of updates?  I have updates of the .net Framework and part of last week.
